  1. Why would moral dispostion be considered for background information when you play your charater they way you see fit....... Regardless of your background..... Every heard of rich people/preist comminting crimes (yep) Unless you play an approximation to a chaotic-neutral/madman character or someone of dubious morals then I think it would be logical to assume that whatever pattern you followed before you returned to the world and realized all the sith trouble that that would be your moral disposition...a pattern of your char, as I mentioned in my first post, shackles of the past, would exist unless I had full control of my figure...is what I meant. A total deviation of personality would seem just as pointless if not.
  2. Hm, some options at creation to flesh out your character any way you like it to create a background by choice, roots...but unless there was some moral disposition I dont really see the point.
  3. I'd file this as good advice (happy families are nice) rather than a moral principle. But, I don't think it's too controversial to say that some parents are not particularly worthy of honor. Honor your homocidal manic parent dad who walked out on your mother before you were born and returned 20 years later and chopped here to pieces...anything within Reason of course, but unless you end up as mewling vegetable your parents must have done something rigth...something worthy of respect....they could have lived happily ever after but they chose instead to have you...or me. But overall those commandments is the law of the bible, and all those uh, stories of the apostles flesh them out into something that can either be interpreted any way you like it or followed fanatically...if in doubt check the commandments. I guess that's the way it works...but what do I know, I'm the atheist.
  4. A movie with multiple endings depending on how attentive, compassionate and noisy you were during the show...KotOR is better than a movie, that could only be worse than the hands-on experience to watch that AFK.
  5. I guess a little background would be nice in some way to shape your role, but I see that just as much as a hindrance, shackles of the past, to define your own role. I prefer that the story evolves, even your own, thru the progress you make in the game.
  6. None of those 'bibles' were subject to any divine influence, but adapted by People to life as it was/is for People. Otherwise, if they made totally unreasonable claims affecting the majority of people negatively, they would have been discarded ages ago, imho.
  7. If you did the DS even before you were annointed a Jedi you would have found an INT item at one of those gangs in the undercity on Taris.
  8. I was really exited for a moment too about 'holiday' but...winter, hm, maybe x-mas holiday, guess those guys at IGN dont get off much.
  9. Heh, I second that...even though I found some ok workarounds to increase quality just as well. If they throw a demo at us, we can help, if not, patch, patch and patch again.
  10. Assembling lightsabers when the lights go out...it's a uh..toaster?
  11. Not exactly a movie, but close. Red vs. Blue is a fun video-series project based on Halo, spanning several episodes still in the making.
  12. Minesweeper.... Planescape:Torment with an adult rating, think Mindworks might be able to pull it off. Cool chicks, Big boobs, hot romances with exotic species, scary monsters, puzzling storyline...
  13. Won't know that for sure until I see it...where is it? But whatever, more is better.
  14. For transportation no, but as an added "chase" plot yes. I would gladly accept it if a combat element was added to the races as well...a bit like the random attack before you enter Hyperspace in the Ebon Hawk.
  15. If Russian game developers would make it a habit to target the European market before the US I'd like them more. Still waiting for the I of the Dragon from Primal Software to hit DK.
  16. Since the sequel apparently picks up where the other left off, I'd suppose that the starting level might be higher than 1...and since the first left me at level 20 even before I started on the Star Forge, 20 seems to low.
  17. If in doubt move your mouse point over the smilie....it's a....smilie and a smilie.... <_< and another smilie.... this is a smilie too... and this... and this.... hm. Not exactly equivalent, eh? tho their titles are all the same unless you click on Show All where the code gives away the meaning if you are in doubt and actually know the code... Please update the ALT or TITLE properties of the visible smilies.
  18. Catching-up with Threads filled with one-liners cross-chat and smilies that doesnt contribute anything to the value of a thread can be a quite fun sometimes, but mostly I find it rather tedious and tiring. What I am proposing is adding an user-to-user filter that will enable you to read thru a thread with or without all the off-topic/spam post. Adding 2 grouped radiobuttons, specifying whether the post is on-topic or off-topic before you post it. Requires a little discipline from everybody but since we are all here to have a merry good time, that shouldnt be a problem, should it?
  19. I would prefer that everything was diminished, avatars, sig's etc. Each one-liner post takes up a lot of useless space for no apparent reason. When I browse thru an initially serious topic do I really need to see all the off-topic spam?
  20. Whine, whine, whine. Whine if someone creates a new thread on an old debated subject or whine if someome continues with the old one instead.
  21. I am an atheist too. I think religious people and the notion of a God is a somewhat medieval, superstitous and psychopathic approach to life, but I won't discard it as an 'Evil' as it clearly serves as both a framework for these people's morals as well as creating common grounds for their life in general. Religion offers a lot of easy solutions to the big concepts in life, but as long it doesnt affect me in any way I think it can be just as good for them as anything else, since they clearly don't care about the truth. Someone who thanks the lord for his luck in life definitely seems more sympathetic than someone who brags about his abilities, hehe. When I'm caught in the rain unprepared on my bicycle I shout at the sky and damn the norse gods. hehe. In the end it's all a question about education and the morals of society and the people that caretakes your upbringing...and whether or not your folks are deeply religious or not, most of us are subject to the same influences and reasoning.
  22. Anyone else, what? Sunry, Mission Vao's brother...uh, nah, what, never mind. Thought Jolee was ok, as it was nice with a dubious...well, he seems to be the only sane down-to-earth Jedi char, the rest are so bloated and full of themselves. Besides it's nice with diverse rolemodels to pit your own roleplay against, to see how you adapt to the game etc....
  23. Been a few months since I played last. Dont actually remember music at all, think that's a good sign. Keep Soule.
  24. I would still be here, but I think I would leave soon thinking the forum was dead. All alone... Would have thought this would have been a 'locked' topic, so I guess it sort of emphasize the inconsistencies in some way. I like that, honestly.
  25. I think KotOR has a good story and of course I play each game differently, different classes, DS/LS. I actually like to ROLE play Role-Playing-Games, weird huh? There are a lot of flawed game mechanics concerning DS/LS adjustments and party members and such, but story-wise a classic. You start the game unaware of being an amnesiac with a little skull...uh, no, wait, that's ah, well. Playing as the main char has to be interesting and full of conflicts and both annoying and pleasing moments. 5 years has passed. And that's quite long considering you finish the first one in approx. 50 hours hehe, maybe 2-4 weeks gameworld time, even though time doesnt really seem to exist in the game so that's a wild guess. I am expecting another totally surprising, yet completely classic story-line (retrospectively) from KotOR II, with a lot of mutually exclusive dialogue and sidequests and everything adapted to your current force alignment etc. And I will be just as happy with that as the predecessor. Of course if the transistion from I to II happens as smooth as BGII -> TOB then I am gonna be very happy.
