  1. Yes. Hell, the only reason I haven't coughed up for the last to re-releases of the Original Trilogy is that I don't have a DVD player and I'm waiting for Lucas to release all six movies in a package (You know it's going to happen.) before getting one.
  2. Anyone should make it, as long as Lucasarts as nothing to do with it.
  3. I say close the forums. Half the people here are ungrateful ****s anyway, so no point in keeping them open.
  4. How did I manage to forget the Wing Commander series? The cutscenes were a lot better than the movies. Anyway, if Obsidian is making KotOR 3, then they shouldn't start working on it until after NWN2 is out. If they dedicate their whole staff to it, it'll be easier to come up with something good even if it is a rushed job.
  5. Most of the people at Obsidian learned that lesson a few years ago. The people at Lucasarts learned it a few years ago, and then forgot it after Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Huh? Inform me what I missed with JK: DF 2, perhaps I'll want to go explore the disk now that you've perked my interest. Did they cut endings out of JK 2, and JK: JA as well? More on topic though, give it two or three years for development of KotoR 3 with a new engine and make it for Xbox Next/Xbox 2. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, JK:DF2 was the most advanced FPS at the time and it had a good story. More importantly, however, the cutscenes were made using real, live actors instead of computer graphics. It'd probably be impossible to do something like that these days without taking out character customization, but it would produce higher-quality cutscenes and probably give KotOR 3 (if there is one) a more theatrical feel. I remember being quite disappointed when I learned that the cutscenes in JO were made using the engine. KotOR's engine pulls it off much better, but still, it would be nice if they just stuck us with a character with a set name and use real actors. It would probably be a lot more expensive (which is why LA won't do it), but we'd have less black screens and more slim, mucus-covered lips pressed against each other in the cargo hold.
  6. So, Lucasarts wanted the game released earlier. How shocking. As for the rules, unless they use the actual Star Wars d20 rules, I think they should stick with what they have, except for a few things like BAB that shouldn't have been changed in the first place.

  8. No. Lucasarts wouldn't allow it.
  9. The Ravager was at Malachor 5.
  10. Condescending tone: Right... The easiest thing would be to have modders add the dialogues over a black screen. It would suck, but it would be better than nothing.
  11. I'll go with the "suffered" options. BURN LUCASARTS!
  12. Would you rather have Darth Jar Jar?
  13. It'll help you find out what people you're talking with really want/think. Skills are the most important part of the game. I'm playing as a Sentinel with 16 Int and I don't have nearly enough skill points. I really should've picked up Repair and Demolition as class skills with my first 2 feats.
  14. (Haven't confirmed this one yet.) Atton: Time to cut you down to size. Same warcry as Imoen, if I recall correctly.
  15. Do you not realize the basics of capitalization?
  16. I'd say it would be best to go with Consular so you have the Force Potency form. Whipe out anything in your path in at most 2 Force Storms. Sentinel and Guardian might have the form, but I'm not sure.
  17. I hope this is a joke, but that makes no sense what so ever. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, it does. Lucasarts would probably never let them add it, but since the files are almost all there, modders could probably tweak around and find a way to add them to the game. That way, the game they wanted to make would be available.
  18. The script for the cut scenes are in one of the KotOR2 forums. Storyline discussion, I think. Oh, and people have been saying it for quite a while now.
  19. Obsidian rules all! It is a little coincidental that, while K1 was advertised like there was no tomorrow, I never saw a tv commercial for K2, that the game was released two months before it was finished and that SW: Revenge of the Sith is coming out soon as a movie and a game.
  20. Yes, but did they cut the material themselves or did Lucasarts make them cut it so they could meet the deadline?
  21. Can't really blame them, can you? Who wants to be literally abused for something they were forced to do?
  22. Or make Lucas offer Jar Jar Binks as a sacrifice to appease us. I am definitely going to have to find a way to use those endings.
  23. Lucastarts gets their orders from Lucasfilms? WTF am I only learning this now? Why do people keep blaming Obsidian Ent for a game brought to us by the people who thought Jar Jar Binks was a good idea? I knew this was a plot to make Revenge of the Sith look better! I guess we'll have to wait for NWN 2 to see what OE can really do.
  24. Finally! Another who has seen the TRUTH!!!!!!
  25. ATI does update their drivers. One of the Devs said that most of the driver upgrades during the last few months were related to KotOR 2. I updated my drivers in December and I had no problem running the game. At all. Therefore, I think you should go here: http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html and get the recent batch.
