  1. This post doesn't even make any sense. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> neither does the vol "minority" nonsense, but you keep responding to him. but who is Gromnir to say anything, eh? typically takes us 2 or 3 pages of BW before we simply give up trying. HA! Good Fun!
  2. we takes exactly what we needs. HA! Good Fun!
  3. call it planning troubles if you want, but what difference does that make. for chrissakes people, ferret leaves and suddenly he is replaced by josh, who announces on the board the some areas needs must be cut to makes deadline. is those cuts really big? who knows, hopefully not, but how can you possibly thinks that ferret leaving right before original release date and the sudden cuts announced by josh would be unrelated. throws in fact that some obsidian guy let slip that dm client ain't shipping in box neither, as evidence of mr cuts that needs to be made to get game out by september, and you is still blissfully optimistic 'bout nwn2 prospects. oh sure, cuts were made and a new lead were brought in, but that can't possibly mean that cuts will be made to the sp oc or the toolset. ... honestly, if Gromnir weren't fully expecting your reaction we would be disappointed... but this willful self-delusion is just part o' the human condition. am not speaking of eldar personal like, but rather of all the folks who ain't expressing at least some 'mount of genuine concern. some of you people is working real hard to pretends that all this stuff is unrelated and innocuous. maybe josh is able to pull fergie
  4. repost: I think most accurate gameplay lenght estimate comes from the guys who are playing NWN 2 and that is the qa guys. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> josh, the lead on nwn2, has said that nobody can give an accurate estimate at this time... and josh is one of those self-destructive straight shooters. nevertheless, after the fergie fiasco we has seen previews (and where you think they get their estimates) and obsinaties that all says 30-40 or 40 or some such. you peoples believes what you want to... am gonna be a bit more cautious. HA! Good Fun!

  6. "Also the credibility of Obsidian has been tarnished somewhat." no it hasn't... not with the mass of posters at bio. "did you seee that interview with so-n'-so. he sure seemed genuine about the dm client and i am sure that they won't cut anything else from the game." says fan #1 "yeah, and did you see some of those game footage movies? i thought they were the bomb." is pages o' that stuff over at bio. there is some small group of fans that is really steamed 'bout horsies and the dm client and no z axis and other stuff, but is gonna take some serious effort to knocks folks out of their love of a game that ain't been released yet. oh, and to be fair we will point out that shortly after we was told by josh that no reasonable estimates of nwn2 could be made at this time, some obsidian qa guy mentions on the bio boards that 30-40+ hours o' gameplay is what he thinks nwn is gonna include. so you folks who is looking for any reason you can to be happy 'bout the cuts that has had to be made to stay on schedule (including game areas and the dm client,) and for you folks that wanna stay optimistic in spite of fact that you is worried that the lead designer left the team shortly 'fore all these new problems came to light, well, not to worry, 'cause nathan did an end around on josh and lets us all know that 30-40+ is the newer and frendlier obsidian estimate for gameplay hours. cheers. HA! Good Fun!
  7. as much as we likes ati video cards, we always has driver issues with games. am not sure what is the problem with ati drivers... so stick with sli. am a big fan of msi for mbs. were an asus snob for years... but am a convert. http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod...asterid=6417699 am not convinced that the new diamond series is better than the platinum, but as the platinum sli seem tough to find they tends to be more expensive than the newer diamonds. best cost v benefit ratio for cpu is probably the 3800+x2 http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod...terid=10479095/ HA! Good Fun!
  8. got a half-page preview from some site we ain't familiar with, written by a guy we never heard of. 'members that black & white won all sorts of Best of e3 awards from a number of different reputable sites. am gonna wait for somebody we respect to play and give feedback... rather than reliance on mr. smapdey. HA! Good Fun!
  9. we can't see a damn thing in the low-res vid...bunch o' little characters and some flashy lights and differnt colored text stuff. did it look nice for those who did hi-res? HA! Good Fun!
  10. how do some of you people work at such small desks? yeah, our monitor is a 21" crt so we needs a big desk, but even when we hads a 19" crt or a 19" widescreen lcd we still needed a big desk. heck, our desk at work is even bigger. HA! Good Fun!
  11. nope, they don't frequent the boards too often... but they does read previews in print and on net. is any wonder that in spite of josh pointing out that hours is too hard to guestimate at this point somebody at obsidian and/or atari is giving previewers estimates? ... the developers and publishers, as much as they seems to dislike the gaming press, uses 'em to sell their games... but you can use'em to. how often has you seen gamespot or gamespy or ign repeating a stoopid rumor you seen first on these or other boards? more than once we imagine. HA! Good Fun!
  12. "That could mean several things...the modsquad decided against it, Feargus figures it's already been taken care of by Mr. Sawyer, Feargus is, rightfully, scared to unnecessarily fan the flames, it doesn't fit well with PR, or it's so completely wrong that he thinks it's not worth even addressing...etc...etc..." please note that only one of your potential rationales were that the modteam decided... you gots a short memory. go back and review thread. most of your possible reasons is stuff that plays into what Gromnir were suggesting: FERGIE is the guy who not wanna answer. you getting paranoid? HA! Good Fun!
  13. "Hmm.. This kinda proves the DM Client *is* more important than the German article/OC length is." could just as easily mean that as bad as the fallout were with the dm client answer, fergie thinks that the fallout from being honest about his 20 hour estimate would be even worse. is always cost v. benefit. you has proved little... other than that fergie has time and ability to anwer fan concerns if he wishes to... which were never in doubt. "edit: "then hit
  14. don't worry yourself on that account. is not like Gromnir is done with this issue... not by a long shot. the thing is, we knows the bio boards. the nwn2 bio boards is very heavily weighted towards the modders as 'posed to the sp fans who makes up the majority of potential nwn2 purchasers. so Gromnir is gonna let those folks stew 'bout dm client for a while
  15. So, I'm not paranoid and haven't come around to your way of blatantly negative thinking? Of course, I must be a fool. It's all so clear to me now...and this "reality" you speak of...it's news to me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ah, so demand of an answer, in the absence of one, makes us paranoid now? how quaint. the reality is that there has been numerous lengthy threads 'bout fergie's 20 hour estimate. the reality is that fin suggested that asking fergie in the 10 questions thread 'bout the 20 hour estimate would be a good idea. the reality is that fergie responded very quickly to the dm client issue, when it were somebody else who screwed up release of such info. the reality is that anybody at obsidian could answer the 20 hour Q in less than 5 minutes... but none has. we could go on with more reality, but you got Faith. is no way for Gromnir to combat that. HA! Good Fun!
  16. "Huh? I don't accept the 30+ hours estimate as fact. I'm using it as evdience that these previewers don't know whhat the length will be.. because Obsidian isn't 100% sure yet as evdienced by Mr. Sawyer's comments." & "Afterall, the most recent article has it in the 30+ hours range. Think of that, SUCKA!" ... kinda loses punch when you read 'em together, no? so the previewers is just coming up with numbers on their own? is the numbers they is reporting coming from atari or from obsidian? if obsidian why is they coming at all. if atari is the folks behind the estimates, then say so... but that still leaves us with the only estimate attributed to an obsinatie (please looks up word "attributed," this time,) being the fergie estimate. oh, and in case you not noticed, if the issue is dead, then why is you still arguing it? in any event, if you simply accepts the pap disguised as explanations you is getting from obsidian then you is indeed fergie's clown... dance and caper for him some more. he would be much happier if everybody else were willing to put on the motley so readily. HA! Good Fun!
  17. if obsidian can't get a quality product out by date X, then we thinks it is a good notion to delay client... is one of those aspects that most purchasers will not even miss if it ain't included. ... 'course a problem occurs if we apply same logic to other mp aspects of the game, and the toolset. *shrug* HA! Good Fun!
  18. if it ain't actually a quote from fergie, then simplest expedient is to clarify. so, you simply gonna ignores that your reliance on the josh answer conflicts with your acceptance of the 30+ hours number? hopes that would just go away maybe if you didn't respond? heck, why not, eh? fergie ignores tough Qs and he is the boss at obsidian. you just following his lead, right? HA! Good Fun!
  19. "Afterall, the most recent article has it in the 30+ hours range. Think of that, SUCKA!" HA! you is the fool who just pointed out that josh answered the Q already. you recall what josh's answere were? no? josh said that no answer 'bout game hours were possible at this time. ... so, who told one previewer that game would be at least 30. who told another reviewer that game would be 40? so far the only estimate we got attributed to an obsinatie is 20 hours, and that estimate were from fergie himself. you happily cite 30+ hours AND claims that josh answered question. ... oh, and the threads that is dying... ain't dying so much as they is being killed. is not the same thing. let fergie makes you into a clown if you wish... ain't gonna happen to Gromnir. "Basically, I give the benefit of the doubt. It doesn't make me a fool." so you willfully ignore reality, but ain't a fool? okie dokie. personally, when it comes to Faith, we save such things for our God, and fergie has not shown that he deserves similar consideration. HA! Good Fun!
  20. do you know that he wasn't asked? just 'cause the question not show up on the list not mean that it weren't a mod team choice. HA! Good Fun! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope. I don't know. And my point is that neither do you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> again, don't you think you is being naive? he has refused to answer, direct or indirect, for quite some time now.... in spite of the fact that numerous very long threads on this and the bio boards has been asking the questions over and over and over. yet you think that fergie would answer if the mods honestly put the question to him? ... please. and no doubt you believes barry bonds 'cause he never actually failed a mlb drug test. bah. HA! Good Fun!
  21. "Grom: He doesn't answer the questions about the camapign length as the Lead Designer Mr. Sawyer ALREADY answered them. You just haven't accepted his answer yet. That's your problem." too bad that weren't the question... otherwise you might have had a point. HA! Good Fun!
  22. do you know that he wasn't asked? just 'cause the question not show up on the list not mean that it weren't a mod team choice. HA! Good Fun!
  23. the mod team? you think that if mod team presented eldar's Q fergie woulda' answered? don't be naive. HA! Good Fun!
  24. you should be, griping that is. ... how little is some of you willing to accept? that being said, *&%$ all the non-sp oc stuff. don't get us wrong, we will eventually be more interested in those mp and toolset aspects we is suggesting they abandon for now, but Gromnir is well aware that the success of the nwn franchise depends on the sp oc. if you can't satisfy the sp fans with the oc out of the box there will be no expansions or sequel... and given how little seems to be on the menu for the nwn2 release you is all gonna need those expansions and sequels to makes a complete game. and yeah, we noticed that fergie chose not to makes the 20 hour Q one of the 10 he chose to answer. so, anymore of you folks coming over to Gromnir
  25. am hesitant to do this. Gromnir actually does have a picture of his desktop from the den in his home... oh well. btw, the rig is most times under the desk, but we were working on it at the time o' the picture. ... this is a bad idea. HA! Good Fun!
