so, Gromnir were right after all? ... the teaser video were kinda silly, but am ok with the concept. HA! Good Fun!

based on the questions at the linked site, am gonna make a guess. US Senator a crpg in which the player starts out as a lowly habidasher (or whatever) with the goal o' becoming a US Senator. blackmail, bribes and boondoggles is your weapons? perhaps. you must choose how you will become a Senator, and if the costs is worth the power... power for good, or evil. no? oh well. HA! Good Fun!

the thing that has surprised us 'bout harrison ford is not that he is getting old. he is old. what shocks us is just how old he seems in interviews. am always asking our self if harrison is drunk while doing interviews, 'cause he gots the pregnant pauses and lapses in concentration we associate with the aged and the serious inebriated. HA! Good Fun!

kaepernick is a classic gm/coach killer. am figuring one or two more teams will give him a shot based on his physical gifts and the promise o' his early career. is understandable why elway feels empathy for kaepernick-- a young nfl qb with a strong arm and incredible athleticism is taking heat 'cause o' his attitude problems... problems often linked to his public admission that he don't wanna play for particular teams. since becoming gm in denver, elway's qb instincts has been a seeming benefit. running tebow outta town were not popular at the time, but it were the right call. acquiring an old manning who were recovering from serious injuries were a questionable decision in 2012, but it paid dividends. could kaepernick have a second career in denver? it could happen, but the more common result o' taking chances on gifted young qbs who has already failed once is that they will fail again. am trying to think o' the bag o' money we could justify as trade value for kaepernick. ziploc sandwich bag full o' money? old lady change purse? as much as this fella can fit in his cheeks anything more than the peanuts zippy is trying to hoard strikes us as wasteful. HA! Good Fun!

Is this true, I've never been able to suss a bias. Gromnir is not a broncos fan. if we were a broncos fan, we would be equal scared o' the prospect o' mark sanchez or colin kaepernick being our starting qb this coming fall. apologies. we were placing our self in shady's shoes. ... am hopeful that shady is also a magnanni man. HA! Good Fun!
-
well, as an experienced backup qb, sanchez is a decent acquisition. shady knows more than most that starting nfl qbs rare make it through an nfl season w/o incident. the thing is, with fitzpatrick seeming no longer an option, as a bronco fan, am not sure who we would actual be enthusiastic seeing as next year's starter... given the options available. the remaining free agent pool isn't exactly deep with quarterbacks. the draft? lynch, cook and hackenberg are early round guys that the broncos have a shot at and they all have positives and negatives. am not sure if lynch were ever under center in college and all three o' the guys we mentioned have question marks related to accuracy. ... it would kinda suck if sanchez became the broncos starter by default. HA! Good Fun! ps we all knew that eric weddle's time in san diego were over once the chargers put him on ir... in spite o' the fact that weddle seemed healthy. dunno. so many nfl teams is mired in 1980s complaceny when it comes to certain positions. you can always wait til late rounds o' the draft to pick up a competent offensive guard or safety, yes?

Frank Zappa is cool, but he's clearly not in education. It varies by state, but in California they teach about the Constitution in 8th grade and then again in high school, typically in your senior year as part of the principals of American Democracy and Economics content standards. This can be called a few different things, depending on the school district. edit: The term social studies, which is actually called social science, refers to a wide range of topics that are covered throughout the k-12 curriculum, including 'civics' never let the facts get in the way of a good rant. HA! Good Fun!

in this case, less = more. am genuine concerned that thor: ragnarok is following civil war, 'cause one o' the more ridiculous aspects o' civil war were the cyber-clone of thor: ragnarok. civil war were such a mess that a massive reduction in the plot lines is likely to help. HA! Good Fun!

am not certain how far $130 will get you insofar as hookers and blow is concerned, so perhaps the ce for sod is the more enlightened option. our imagination is getting the better of us at the moment as we envision snaggle-toothed prostitutes wasted on coke cut with bath salts. *shudder* obviously Gromnir ain't the target audience for the sod ce. we suspect that beamdog would get far more ce purchasers with a more modest offering o' the collector's edition bundle o' an expansion for a +15-year-old game.... leonard nimoy's suspect business advice notwithstanding. that being said, the ce extras is no worse than is typical o' collector's editions for more robust games. even so, sod looks to be a genuine expansion that will be offering a fair amount o' additional gameplay to the bg catalog. without having played the title, am not gonna complain 'bout the $20 pricetag for sod and we sure ain't gonna try and convince folks that beamdog's efforts is little more than a mod. $130 does strike us as a bit steep for the ce. aside: nepenthe can acquire the original bg soundtracks by purchasing the $40 package, yes? sure, you won't get the amulet, dice and cloth map at $40, but... *shrug* as we said, Gromnir is clear not beamdog's target purchaser for the ce. HA! Good Fun!

well, the fact that you had garfield plush toys made us wonder if perhaps manifested were a girl when he was young. 'course, Gromnir had a pony, so am not certain we can be too dismissive. HA! Good Fun!

Sue was on Cap's side, Reed was on Tony's, Johnny was on Cap's after he woke from his coma, and Thing was reluctantly part of Tony's, but buggered off to France after he decided both sides were stupid for fighting and putting civilians in harms way. All are owned by Fox right now so won't be part of the movies. I hope Fox lets go of those rights soon though. Marvel is going to need some of the villains bundled into those rights to keep their movies going. Fox owns the Skrulls, Galactus, Kang, Doom, etc. ... he did ask you Not to tell him. HA! Good Fun!

we were sixth grade (if we had gone to public school) in 81-82. *shrug* no lasagna though for bill. he drank to excess, smoked and free-based tender vittles. a "vegesexual" and bartles & james junkie, bill's long running affair with jeane kirkpatrick were not the kinda thing content that woulda' been appropriate in a jim davis comic. ... am pretty sure he ended up with donald trump's brain near the end o' bloom county's run. HA! Good Fun!

recognizing your ff affinity, am gonna recommend that you do not read civil war. odd handling. one o' the most perplexing civil war moments for Gromnir were ben grimm related. HA! Good Fun! ps is our opinion that every comic title that runs long enough is gonna provide multiple instances o' childhood memory ruination. no biggie. just roll with it.

when we saw the trailer, our first thought at the conclusion were that something looked distinctly off with spider-man... kinda like the weird cg fight scenes in the matrix sequels where neo and elrond looked almost cartoony. spider-man looks weird, which actual takes some effort given that spidey normal is a blue and red gimp suit. am gonna admit that we weren't a fan o' the comic civil war. am thinking that a movie version is actual a positive as much o' the padding and idiocy from the comic book storyline can be excised... or exorcised. regardless, we disagree with the assessment that spider-man looks great... unless civil war is actual a who framed roger rabbit sequel. HA! Good Fun!

'cause "mod" sounds more dismissive? trick question? am not thinking that fairness or accuracy were the goal. HA! Good Fun!

eder had a bonus talent. eder had an extra talent. kinda quirky though as you could cheat yourself outta the bonus by acquiring eder pre-level 3. it were kinda cheesy, but for eder and kana it made sense to let the game auto-level them as they had bonus talents/chants. for our most recent run, we saved 'fore eder acquisition. regardless o' whether we set as allowing us to re-level from 1 or not, no free rufian for eder. no biggie. odd that the freebies were removed. HA! Good Fun!

am personal not seeing the issue, but to each his own, eh? if you do not like the obsidian joinable npcs and their quirky attribute spreads, you can create your own party members. is not an ideal solution for some folks, but it is a solution to a perceived problem. why create custom party mates if one can complete respec all the joinables... especially now that we got at least one joinabale for every class? that being said, in earlier incarnations o' poe, the joinables frequent had minor bonuses that could not be replicated with a created npc. e.g. eder had free ruffian talent and kana had a free chant. weren't major stuff, but it were making the joinables unique. am not certain why such stuff were removed. seemed like a nice way to makes the joinabales more appealing, and such bonuses were reminiscent o' more than a couple bg joinables who had unique abilities. in any event, we got near full respec for the protagonist and we can alter the talents and abilities for the joinables. such options is more than satisfactory for our personal needs. add functionality so that folks can tank durance's resolve strikes us as unnecessary (excessive even,) but if enough people complain, then perhaps obsidian will listen. the complaints appear so trivial given the functionality we already got. is not gonna be high on our list o' remaining priorities, but not everybody need be the same as Gromnir. bang the drum and perhaps obsidian listens. HA! Good Fun!

Pictures of your Games Episode VII The Screenshot Awakens
Gromnir replied to Blarghagh's topic in Computer and Console
it is a given that combat in virtual all computer games forces us to ignore reality. even so, anime inspired w.o.u.s set our teeth on edge. am not certain why weapons that would drive atlas to his knees if he attempted to wield 'em bothers us more than literal dozens o' other typical reality bending concessions. is it that such weapons is so unnecessary? is it that such aesthetic choices by the developer is particular silly? ... dunno. those tiny elf girls in high heels wielding swords with blades that looks more appropriate as a c-130 turboprop propeller blade, drive us to distraction. HA! Good Fun! ps please excuse the cheap princess bride reference. -
Update 3.02 Beta is Live
Gromnir replied to BAdler's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Announcements & News
it is possible that the developers is using feedback to adjust their patch notes. am suspecting that more than a few fixes didn't take with 3.02. rather than mistakenly claim that distant advantage or mc faith and convictions were fixed in 3.02, the developers wait a day or two and then prune their list o' fixes to more accurate represent reality? dunno. our conspiracy theory is based on nothing save the absence o' such notes and our personal experience that a few o' the fixes that were announced as being addressed in the next patch continue to plague poe with 3.02. most likely reason is simple that whomever was s'posed to type up the list o' changes into a coherent patch notes release... didn't. HA! Good Fun! -
benjamin has deep speed. on the negative side, he has a rather thin resume, a reconstructed knee, and hands made o' glass. is doubtful that benjamin's signing signals the end of sd's off-season receiver moves. that being said, we actual like travis benjamin as a player, given what little we has seen from him. also, we can't fault anybody for wanting to leave the browns organization. the fans in cleveland deserve better. HA! Good Fun!

2.6GB steam download. 3.02b?
Gromnir replied to a topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
funny aside, faith and convictions appears to have been fixed by lowering the value o' benefits from dispositions so that the peculiar totals from 3.01 whereby max benefits to deflection (+ 8 ) and other defenses (+17) is now correct? the question is: how? bonus value from maxed dispositions through 3.0 were +6 deflection and +12 other defenses as only the first 3 tiers o' dispositions were utilized-- +2 deflection & +4 to other defenses per tier o' relevant disposition. so, with max dispositions, for a main paladin, we should be getting +10 deflection and +20 to other defenses. current 3.02 in-game explanation o' totals is base +4/+8 faith and convictions modified by dispositions. so, how on earth do we get +8/+17 for a main paladin with maxed dispositions? somehow am getting +4/+9 bonuses from maxed dispositions? am confused. HA! Good Fun! ps freaking emoticons... sheesh. -
[v3.00.929 PX1-Steam] Faith and Conviction Nerfed of Bugged?
Gromnir replied to limaxophobiacq's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
with 3.02, the value from dispositions has been decreased so we get a net gain between 3.01 and 3.02 of +0 to deflection and +0 to other defenses? am... confused. HA! Good Fun! -
is 'cause peyton were qb on the team that won the sb that he gets credit for leading? the broncos defense led the broncos to a 2015-2016 sb win. perhaps you can say that kubiak led the broncos to a sb win. peyton may have even deserved credit for leading the broncos, but not for his play at qb. peyton were, statistically, one o' the three worst starting qbs in the league last year. statistics are an objective standard, and they very much corroborate the feelings o' most football savvy folks who watched peyton play in 2015. peyton may have been some kinda emotional leader who helped will his team to victory, but he wasn't a very good qb. even if you do believe that peyton were the/a cause o' the broncos success, it weren't 'cause o' his qb play that the broncos were successful. second best broncos qb... maybe. oh and marino never won a super bowl. tarkenton, fouts, kelly and moon never won a superbowl. converse, wanna name the sb winning qbs that is never gonna make it to canton? is more than one... or two. the sb is the ultimate goal, but is not the ultimate indicator o' talent and ability. is so many great players that were never on a sb winning team, 'cause football is a team freaking sport. lee roy selmon? barry sanders? the aforementioned dan marino? http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/peyton-manning-super-bowl-performance-worst-article-1.2524194 peyton had equal bad performances in the playoffs, and in the majority o' his 2015 regular season starts, with a couple notable exceptions, he were little better. for current nfl players to mock peyton's 2015 efforts does indeed look like sour grapes. peyton got a sb win and deserves credit, but he doesn't deserve credit for his actual play at qb. team leader? savvy self-promoter? whatever kudos peyton deserves for 2015, it ain't gonna be related to his play at qb... save for in a couple amazing regular season games. am actual feeling a bit bad for the broncos d. if not for the fact that peyton were the qb o' the 2015-2016 broncos, more folks would speak o' the broncos defensive efforts for the year with greater reverence. the 2015 broncos d deserves a place with pittsburgh's steel curtain and the 85 bears, but somehow peyton as qb is still considered as a blessing rather than the obstacle it were. am hopeful that in the years to come, the broncos d will finally be accorded its true place in football history, 'cause the broncos not only overcame opponents, but they survived some historical bad qb play from peyton manning. HA! Good Fun!

it is so difficult to repeat as super bowl champs in the fa era. brock osweiler and danny trevathan are lost to texans and bears respectively. woulda' been tough to pay trevathan what he wanted, particularly in light o' his injury problems, but osweiler were the broncos best qb last year, and he were clear gonna start for the champs in 2016. one positive for the broncos is that they acquire donald stephenson who is an underrated ol. pretty much the only way one gets caught for performance-enhancing drugs in the nfl is if the player is dumb and/or reckless. stephenson is unlikely makes same error multiple times, but you never know with these guys. regardless, is a nice pickup. HA! Good Fun!
