Dominion Voting Systems files $1.3B defamation lawsuit against pro-Trump lawyer Sidney Powell The 124-page complaint filed in a Washington, D.C., federal court alleges Powell “promote[d] a false preconceived narrative” about the 2020 vote, which included unsubstantiated claims that the company was established in Venezuela as part of a vote-rigging operation in favor of the late socialist leader Hugo Chávez and that Dominion bribed state officials in Georgia to secure its contract. billion. ... well, it seems it is "go big or go home," for dominion. any chance tiger williams is the ceo o' dominion? edit function on previous post is wonky, so apologies in advance for the double-post biden being critical o' the rioters on January 6 is the right message. the gatewaypundit/zerohedge/qanon nutters need to be disavowed. the actions of these folks need to be rejected not just by Biden but by the republican establishment. fringe. they were fringe before bannon and trump legitimized. they need be rejected by republicans today and not legitimized by biden. that said, we welcome any trumper who is willing to peaceful protest. while we disagree with too many of them and am profound disturbed by the willingness to embrace conspiracy theories which confuse "mere possibility" with "fact," we will fight to the death (metaphorical as we will put self in harm's way before we cause physical injury to another) to preserve their right to protest... to the extent o' the first amendment and perhaps even a bit beyond. however, am drawing the same line biden, harris and lewis drew-- No Violence. failure to condemn violence is unacceptable. HA! Good Fun!

Who was Ashli Babbitt, woman shot inside Capitol building? btw, am not agreeing with using the "terrorist" label, but am sharing the following link for those who want to hear what the unfortunate woman believed in her own words.

What you've done today - One Life to Live
or you had a false negative, which is unfortunate too common. false Positive is improbable, but negative is a different situation. hope you feel better soon. as an aside, we got our covid-19 test last night at 7:00 pm and were told it were likely we would get results in five days. five days. am personal feeling terrible at the moment, but our discomfort is probable the garden variety flu (which is pretty unpleasant as we ain't been able to sleep for more than an hour at a time 'cause o' muscle aches and such for four days) and am expecting a negative result... which is too bad 'cause am not even gonna have covid-19 antibodies following this bit o' illness which we expect to last the ordinary seven-to-ten days. only positive o' getting the covid test: we took a shower before our appointment. unlike many covid sufferers, our sense o' smell is quite good as we were able to tell just how fetid we had become after four days o' cold sweats w/o taking a shower. HA! Good Fun!

biden is spelled as follows: B-I-D-E-N however, we watched the HARRIS clip and nowhere did she say it were okay to loot and vandalize and attack police. you are doing he same nonsense as were vol. ... your fluid and evasive point sux. you want to create two different standards. the message needs to stay consistent and the message is that peaceful protests is the right (duty) of every American. oh, and btw https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-harris/kamala-harris-condemns-looting-violence-in-wake-of-police-shooting-idUSKBN25N344 this is the message: While my time here has now come to an end, I want you to know that in the last days and hours of my life you inspired me. You filled me with hope about the next chapter of the great American story when you used your power to make a difference in our society. Millions of people motivated simply by human compassion laid down the burdens of division. Around the country and the world you set aside race, class, age, language and nationality to demand respect for human dignity. That is why I had to visit Black Lives Matter Plaza in Washington, though I was admitted to the hospital the following day. I just had to see and feel it for myself that, after many years of silent witness, the truth is still marching on. Emmett Till was my George Floyd. He was my Rayshard Brooks, Sandra Bland and Breonna Taylor. He was 14 when he was killed, and I was only 15 years old at the time. I will never ever forget the moment when it became so clear that he could easily have been me. In those days, fear constrained us like an imaginary prison, and troubling thoughts of potential brutality committed for no understandable reason were the bars. Though I was surrounded by two loving parents, plenty of brothers, sisters and cousins, their love could not protect me from the unholy oppression waiting just outside that family circle. Unchecked, unrestrained violence and government-sanctioned terror had the power to turn a simple stroll to the store for some Skittles or an innocent morning jog down a lonesome country road into a nightmare. If we are to survive as one unified nation, we must discover what so readily takes root in our hearts that could rob Mother Emanuel Church in South Carolina of her brightest and best, shoot unwitting concertgoers in Las Vegas and choke to death the hopes and dreams of a gifted violinist like Elijah McClain. Like so many young people today, I was searching for a way out, or some might say a way in, and then I heard the voice of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on an old radio. He was talking about the philosophy and discipline of nonviolence. He said we are all complicit when we tolerate injustice. He said it is not enough to say it will get better by and by. He said each of us has a moral obligation to stand up, speak up and speak out. When you see something that is not right, you must say something. You must do something. Democracy is not a state. It is an act, and each generation must do its part to help build what we called the Beloved Community, a nation and world society at peace with itself. Ordinary people with extraordinary vision can redeem the soul of America by getting in what I call good trouble, necessary trouble. Voting and participating in the democratic process are key. The vote is the most powerful nonviolent change agent you have in a democratic society. You must use it because it is not guaranteed. You can lose it. You must also study and learn the lessons of history because humanity has been involved in this soul-wrenching, existential struggle for a very long time. People on every continent have stood in your shoes, though decades and centuries before you. The truth does not change, and that is why the answers worked out long ago can help you find solutions to the challenges of our time. Continue to build union between movements stretching across the globe because we must put away our willingness to profit from the exploitation of others. Though I may not be here with you, I urge you to answer the highest calling of your heart and stand up for what you truly believe. In my life I have done all I can to demonstrate that the way of peace, the way of love and nonviolence is the more excellent way. Now it is your turn to let freedom ring. When historians pick up their pens to write the story of the 21st century, let them say that it was your generation who laid down the heavy burdens of hate at last and that peace finally triumphed over violence, aggression and war. So I say to you, walk with the wind, brothers and sisters, and let the spirit of peace and the power of everlasting love be your guide.--the final essay of John Lewis, published after his death. HA! Good Fun!

more than a few o' the protesters thought they were participating in a coup. more than a few thought they were peaceful protesters exercising their first amendment rights. again, it were a disorganized mob and attempting to ascribe some kinda motivation or plan to the entirety is pointless. It’s the People’s House, but the terrorists behaved as if only they should have the keys to the Capitol. One man sat in Nancy Pelosi’s office, his feet contemptuously propped up on her atop the desk and a smile on his face. Others charged at a member of law enforcement, left alone and unable to handle the mob’s surge. We saw them literally on the walls, hanging from a ledge in the Senate chambers or outside, swinging on the scaffold. Others took selfies and souvenir photographs, as if the mob’s intrusion were merely some Capitol tour gone awry. A door featured the newly scrawled threat: “Murder the Media.” Others were seen with guns, and zip ties, apparently prepared to take hostages. Washington, D.C., police found explosives near the building. A man stood where Vice President Mike Pence typically sits in the Senate chamber, taking it upon himself to declare that Donald Trump had, indeed, won an election he lost. The entire scene was a violation in the purest sense, and on top of all that, the lack of protective face coverings amid the pandemic betrayed both a lack of sense and shame. yeah, more than a few o' the qanon folks with their Storm prophecy thought The Day had finally arrived. more than one trump supporting Congressman boasted that January 6 would be a 1776 moment for the maga movement... whatever were a mob. HA! Good Fun!

it will divide but is based largely on right-wing imagination. show us where biden called vandals, looters, arsonists and folks who assaulted and killed a police officer with a fire extinguisher peaceful protesters. we will wait while you look. ... nothing? biden condemned the criminals but pointed out that Most o' the protesters were peaceful and should not all be condemned for the actions of a select few. converse, there were literal thousands o' people who illegal trespassed onto capitol property and many who destroyed property and attacked police. if all the trumpers had stopped at the barricades and shouted "stop the steal," then they woulda' been able to claim to be peaceful protesters. at the very least, the thousands who broke the law should face the same condemnation as the vandals and looters received from biden during the summer protests, no? https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-factcheck-biden-condemn-violence/fact-check-joe-biden-has-condemned-violent-protests-in-the-last-three-months-idUSKBN25V2O1 am knowing reuters ain't zerohedge, but... so, am calling bull. were there some lefties saying the violence and criminality during the summer protests were justified? yup. bad on them. we don't agree even if we sympathize with the anger and rage. however, biden and many others consistent condemned violence and criminality whenever it occurred. bs HA! the curious behavior o' more than a few o' the capitol police should be investigated. am not a fan o' social media and we don't understand the selfie reflex, but the mob's desire for recognition, resulting in widespread filming and photographing o' l00ters and police by journalists as well as mob participants, has resulted in considerable video which reveals considerable odd police action. you are asking for a reasonable answer from people who willing joined a mob? the stolen election narrative ain't reasonable, but more than 100 million americans believe such stoopid. georgia handcounts complete undermine the dominion machine conspiracy, but how many people insist on perpetuating such nonsense? seth rich? reasonable is not relevant if you are questioning motives. @Guard Dog and others has discussed the lost cause mentality and the motivations o' the confederacy is endless debated when the civil war is discussed. nathan bedford forrest and james longstreet both fought for the confederacy, but their motivations were extreme different. The Confederacy were wrong, and slavery were/is integral and unavoidable linked to perpetuation o' the lost cause myth, but try and distill the perception on the ground o' the confederacy is impossible. a soldier from virginia and a plantation owner from south carolina and James Longstreet might have been equal devoted to the confederate cause, but their reasons for doing so woulda' been different and even impossible to align. those involved in the january 6 mob were all wrong, but they were wrong unique. some kinda generalized perception on the ground is an unnecessary rabbit hole even if it will be debated endless. you are making a similar mistake as vol were doing not so long ago. applying motives to a mob or any large and disorganized group is a mistake. point to an individual as if their actions and words is shared by all in the group is not reasonable. the group which marched on the capitol had diverse goals and motivations. the proud boys wearing their 6mwe t-shirts didn't necessarily have the same motives as the pregnant woman who were escorted down the steps o' the capitol after the dc police finally showed up to reestablish order. https://nypost.com/2021/01/07/who-are-the-djs-promoters-playing-parties-during-covid-19/ can find any number o' individual examples based on media coverage or social media posts from the protesters which reveal that individuals involved in the events yesterday were serious 'bout "taking back" their government and they were clear willing to do so by force. were more than a few hard working and patriotic americans who believed they were following trump to the capitol and were just showing their support for their President as they remained peaceful outside the capitol building. qanon, white nationalists, proud boys, ted cruz. were a whole lot o' bad actors involved in yesterday's events. four years o' enabling the bad actors and trump made yesterday possible even if it didn't make it inevitable. perception on the ground is a myth. excuse. one terrible and unaddressed aspect o' the events yesterday is that it gives too many complicit republicans cover as they abandon trump. the election in georgia made clear to the republican establishment that trump has lost the suburbs, which were bad news for republicans going forward. such shpoulda' been the lesson they took away from november, but to be fair democrats ain't been any smarter 'with their election post mortem. regardless, the problem for folks such as marco rubio and others were the difficulty o' distancing selves from trump as they look forward to 2022 and 2024. typically a faustian bargain is unbreakable, no? too many tweets and examples o' support o' trump will make it difficult for the rubios to pretend as if they were not coconspirators in the trumpism movement. trump were no different yesterday than he has been since he ran for office. muslim ban? nevertheless, republicans who were looking for an excuse to abandon trump now that it is clear to many that trumpism is not a viable option for the future had a gift handed to them. mock shock and dismay. january 6 trump were too much for them? is gonna be many republicans who use yesterday to reinvent themselves. unfortunate. oh, and for the folks who has been invoking summer protest whataboutism, we set the way back machine to january 20, 2017. Anti-Trump protesters risk 60 years in jail. Is dissent a crime? Prosecutors eventually dropped a few defendants, like journalists and legal observers, but simultaneously increased the charges against everyone else. The most recent indictment collectively charged more than 200 people with felony rioting, felony incitement to riot, conspiracy to riot, and five property-damage crimes – all from broken windows. HA! Good Fun!

consistency 'mongst states is impossible. we don't even have consistency w/i states, but this is another issue we has addressed to death. "perception on the ground" is not a police problem. education is the issue. the events o' today occurred precise 'cause too many people were poor educated 'bout relevant issues. is a fact too many people believe stoopid and that is a genuine problem which need be fixed. real solution to so many American problems is education. not only does bruce misrepresent what happened in portland, but he ignores what were the criticisms o' police actions during the summer protests. other than a few board anarchists, the objection hereabouts (and elsewhere) o' police efforts in places such as portland were not 'bout police stopping illegal behavior. arrest actual vandals and trespassers? fine. good. the criticism were two-fold: 1) the fed had no authority to take the actions in which they engaged. 2) too many people being attacked by fed police were not committing crimes when they were detained assaulted and/or detained. actual looters and trespassers who were arrested by police and charged accordingly were not receiving sympathy from anybody here or elsewhere... again, save for from a few wingnuts. the problem were that far too many peaceful protesters were being identified as seditionists by barr and trump and those protesters were not getting benefit o' civil rights from the fed cops who would accost such people off fed property. label any protester as an antifa member? fed cops using tear gas and violent force to suppress protesters who had a legal right to be on streets and protest were unconstitutional. am not sure why we need keep repeating it, the fed agents on streets of portland and not federal property were acting unconstitutional. we told you what were the law, more than once. portland and the attack on the capitol not even close to analogous. and again, the situation in portland were never as bruce imagines. were not months o' uninterrupted lawlessness and protests. there is a reason why the rnc had to use stock footage o' riots in spain during their inauguration event in lieu o' actual portland film. compare today to portland protests is worst kinda whataboutism. HA! Good Fun! ps given recent events am deciding to observe the lunar new year as 'posed to the gregorian calander. as such we will recognize today as being part o' 2020 as 'posed to 2021. f you 2020.

The TV and Streaming thread Series 3
finally watched the third season of true detective and season 1 of doom patrol. every main character performance in true detective were great, and that includes stephen dorff. (pausing for effect and self reflection. stephen dorff?) even so, something were missing and am not sure what to identify as the problem. too much flash-forward, flash-middle and flash-back... and then flash mostly forward but not quite full forward? too much flashing? enjoyed the show overall, but nevertheless felt let down 'cause it just seemed as if so many great performances did not add up to a genuine great show. good show. enjoyed doom patrol in spite of our low expectations. am thinking some of what guardians of the galaxy did right were captured with doom patrol. similar team-as-surrogate-family-drama, with tongue firm in cheek for a large % of season one. also saw ww84. ... a movie in need o' serious editing. Jonathan Swan Describes How Lincoln Project Pence Ad Set Off Trump: He Was ‘Enraged’ “The president didn’t realize Pence had this ceremonial role — he didn’t know about it until very recently. And the way he found out about it was the Lincoln Project came up with this ad… and they ran it just in the DC market. Mostly on Trump’s favorite shows on Fox, designed for an audience of one. And the ad sort of, in an over the top ominous framing, points out to their audience of one that Pence actually plays this role and will be sort of putting the ceremonial sound of death to President Trump’s presidency. Trump sees this ad, becomes enraged ,and begins to take this up with Mike Pence privately.” HA! Good Fun!

is not possible. but again, this administration has done illegal and impossible many times. is not legal possible, but if senate were to be complicit and the Court decided that the issue were a nonjusticiable political question... impossible or illegal is only having meaning if the people with power involved accepts rule of law. example: https://www.npr.org/2021/01/05/953738158/in-explosive-debate-pa-gop-refuses-to-swear-in-reelected-democratic-senator am repeating, but what if mitch mcconnell refuses to accept Presidential and runoff results and a senate majority backs him? what if the Court refuses to hear any election related issues, asserting that all such is non-justiciable political questions? am not suggesting such will happen, but is so many things which has occurred the previous four years we thought were impossible. at the moment it don't appear as if the trump loyalists have a majority in senate or house supporting the unconstitutional efforts to reject state certifications. moot. even so, has been numerous times in the last four years when illegal happened with support o' the senate. 'course by tomorrow afternoon it may be clear the senate minority leader is mitch mcconnell. will change the dynamic significant IF that happens, and not necessarily for the better. biden may wish to heal old wounds, but many democrats will be looking not only for change but for payback. republicans claiming payback rights has been a big reason why the last four years were such a mess. an eye for an eye for an eye for an eye... *sigh* again, the vp didn't decide the 1796 and 1800 elections. were pluralities leading to multiple votes. you misunderstand the issue or are reading wrong. the only election where the vp were arguable deciding the election were 1876, and 2020 ain't presenting an 1876 issue neither. HA! Good Fun!

doesn't matter if you said his name or not. is no plurality this time. the pre 1804 scenarios have no relevance. biden & harris ticket has been certified by enough state legislatures. 306. again, is the 1876 problem and chaos which trump is trying to suggest gives pence some kinda authority to decide the election, but legislators is not same as legislature. all state legislatures has certified the election results. a random collection o' legislators protesting is irrelevant. 1887 act makes this a non-issue... although it were never actual an issue. HA! Good Fun!
