:"> I think your artwork is great. I wish I had the time and patience to sit down and create some artwork, and especially try to create digital artwork.

Is the character interface inconsistent?
metadigital replied to metadigital's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Really? Hadn't noticed... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Strange that they kept all the temples and mosques and churches spic and span all through the communist reign ... all those gold domes. And isn't there about 5 churches inside the Kremlin? You mean the Religious Mafia? No, I'm not a member... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought that was the Roman Catholic church ... " -
Excuse me...He/She. Rocky 4 Now that you mention it...that is the typical western stereotype isn't it? Is your whole idea of us from Rocky 4, Rambo 3 and James Bond? No wonder you thought we wern't a serious threat... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That and Yul Brenner in the Potemkin :D ... Dang! I got my sequels mixed up! I pity the poor fool who don't know that Clubber Lang was Mr T in Rocky 3. Wasn't Rambo 2: First Blood Part 3 (that's Rambo 3: old location joke) a terrible film?

That's what I mean ... talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place! And you wouldn't be allowed to adhere to your faith in the Communist party (as I'm sure you're aware): they are devout atheists. " Incidentally, are you Russian Orthodox? -
Only a spring chicken. Uh...well, actually...I'd rather let your creative juices flow, so MY vision of the Exile would be a 5'11-ish brown-haired (marine-cut) lean built soldier-type (He was a general, after all), with a dash of whatever your stereotypical Russian male looks like in your head...thanks for thinking about it! No facial hair. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was with you until "He" ... :D Stereotypical Russian ... A bit like Dolph Lungren in Rocky 3, perhaps?

I believe it does, actually. Religion is either the product of Psychology, or the explaination for it... Better, since I left the Communist party... " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> All the communists in the West (well, I say "all", I might be exagerating a little bit) joined the Greens. So they have interesting policies like: 1. Putting the environment FIRST and inveesting in renewable energy. 2. Re-nationalising all critical industries. ( ) Still, it seems that the Communist Party is gaining support again in Russia ... and Putin looks and sounds more and more like a Tzar every day ... -

High on LIFE. (Gah! I sound like a born-again Christian!) A professional what? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Psychologist, specializing in mental disorders. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I for one feel right at home. (Does that include the study of religion and those under its thrall? :D ) So tell me about your relationship with your parents. ... -

Character Look-a-likes
metadigital replied to Royal_Nonesuch's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Haha! Well, then, this will be even more spooky... Since Mira kinda reminds me of Gillian Anderson! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah, gillian wasn't as defined and thin as mira.... Mira always reminded me of that young girl who took care of the olsen twins on there one show... not full house but when they were older, the college chick.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, really, tell us all about this fantasy you have ... Did you know you can buy a Dancing twilek?!
metadigital replied to Arim's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes. You can also win her in a Pazaak game. And let her go for Light Side points. -

What a strange comment! Totally non sequitur ... I think the better word is share. -
KotOR2:TSL combat mechanics questions

I must confess to not checking this out completely -- and not understanding it completely, either. (I'm sure Darth Frog will be along soon enough with a complete spreadsheet of all the different permutations!) All I can think of, without checking -- which I am not prepared to do at the moment -- is that it is something to do with the "base". What level are you -- 13 (based on your comments about BAB)? -
'Nuff said. :D
-
Yep, I swapped between them all the time. (May not work in the Ebon Hawk, as the interface defaults only to the Exile there, but even so, just use T3 outside.)
-
HK-47, once all his assassination protocols are initiated, of course.
-
Sounds awfully conveniently contrived Deus ex Machina to me. PS Is that a Jedi Kamino? I always wanted to play one of those.
-
It's random. You can try again. (Check out the mechanics of the various dice rolls in the log screen.)

Is the character interface inconsistent?

1. I thought we were looking through the first person view of each player, just back a little so that it appears third person. For example, when the PC uses Force Sight, we get the expected view. (We also get the Force Sight view for all the other team members, so you could also argue your viewpoint, that the game is in third person view. I think it's just an easy fit. Just laziness, in other words.) I am mainly suggesting it because I think it would have added some richness to the roleplaying. Sure you don't need to use the Exile's Force Sight if the other two are in the party (in fact, due to the link Kreia's would mean it was permanently on whilst she travelled alongside), but any time they weren't present there would still be the opportunity to use the Exile's. And it would still be used more often than the stupid Animal Control and Force Breathing. 2. Otherwise the characters would be tripping up when their sight fails and they trip. 3. Well sinister might be appropriate for Dark Side ... you could have characters favouring their left hands as they fall to the Dark side ... -

Could depend on Dexterity bonus and/or the armour maximum dexterity bonus rating. e.g. Heavy Armour might have: Defence Bonus +6 max. Dex. Bonus of +2 So for your character with Dex of 16 (+3 bonus) whilst wearing this armour will be +8 better off in defence (+6 armour +2 dex), because you only derive +2 of your dexterity bonus in the armour (rationale probably being that it is too restrictive to grant full dexterity bonus). -
Actually you can circumvent the Exile repair limitation:

Isn't that what the "Gold" and "Platinum" titles mean? (Gold = 1000000, Platinum 200000) Or is that just a swanky word play to get people to think the same old games are *new* and *shiny*?

I think it should display the same thing as when you activate Force Sight. And Force Sight should take no FP, either, as they obviously can use it continuously, so why can't other FS? (That's a rhetorical question Baley ) -
I would like to agree with you for my own pet philosophical angle on the whole Kreia-is-the-Prophet-who-understands-the-true-malevolent-nature-of-The-Force, but alas I think it is far more probable that it is just a loose end that was never cleaned up in the rush to throw the game out the door. " So, yes, I think the Force is working towards some aspiration is has, a secret agenda known only to it, and manipulates those Force Sensitives and others proportionally according to their innate Force Sensitivity. And this proves that Kreia is actually the harbinger of the next great galactic struggle: the battle between the disciples of Kreia, the Counter-Force Forcce, and the pawns of the Force, the Force Sensitives.
