  1. But, there was any democratic event for Saudi Arabia? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "Arab Idol": the power of capitalism has breeched the Iron curtain in the 80s with golden arches in Red Square, and the gloriously banal Pop Idol.
  2. Well, apparently so, as pictures aren't forthcoming. Still, if getting the office sufficiently presentable would delay NWN2's release by a month, then don't worry about it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, be careful what you wish for ... pointing a bright, camera-friendly light into the dank festoonery of wires, discarded computer supplies, miscellanous outer garments from seasons past, long-dead pizza boxes and their new, transgenic life forms ... I think if we just think it looks like Alex's room in Deus Ex:IW, or Eli's Lab in λ
  3. No, there is no homosexual romance in KotOR2.
  4. There is a test to become a Jedi Knight: Obi-Wan passed the test by killing the Sith Knight that offed Qui-Gon Jin. (Obviously that is not the normal test to accede to Knighthood, it just served the purposes of the Council at the time.) So I'm sure there's a bunch of tests that the orphans can try to pass.
  5. It's not an RPG, it's a FPS. The third one is the best, AFAIK, but I haven't played any of them yet.
  6. Start again. Or use the Influence adjuster on your savegame from Darth333's site.
  7. well, I think alignment is a misnomer. Force Sight should really be showing the hostility to the PC / party. But how is that possible?
  8. Yep I liked that too. "The Professional" or "Leon" depending on your country of viewing. Definitely not "Howard the Duck", or "Howard" as it was released later in the UK ... PS Optimus Prime was the last role for Orsen Welles.
  9. Wallachia sounds like it's in Poland! Moldova isn't that special ... except it's got Julie Andrews as Queen Clarisse Rinaldi. Ah, Duckula. Still doesn't beat DangerMouse.
  10. I would like it if the KOTOR games had 60 hours of content the 5th time you play. But not 500 hours of content! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If it was 500 hours of interesting content, I'm all for it. Trouble is, it was pretty turgid stuff. You could watch the 24 hour Le Mans race live, in one sitting, too. But that's not what people do. Giving people a dictionary to read cover-to-cover is not content. Writers ought to be paid a lot more. A LOT MORE.
  11. That's not actually what I said. As I understand it, what's being suggested is that these experiments revealed the essentially evil nature of the participants, and I'm saying that the situations twisted essentially decent people into doing evil things. I haven't studied psychology, so what you've said is interesting to me. I'll reflect on it and try to meet some evil people. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As my father was fond of saying to me ... "Everyone's nice until the money's on the table."
  12. Without the meaningless fed-ex missions and dribble dialogue of ES3.
  13. The first Matric film was and still is a classic. I often re-watch my boxed copy. The sequels are just Kung-Fu movies, there is no real philosophical content to get your teeth into. (Well, there is some there, but it's dumbed down. It's much more consistent that K2, however, which couldn't even decide or not. I didn't like the role they gave Morpheus in the sequels, in the original he was more the central character (like his name was meant to connote). The third one I thought was the worst. PS This topic should really be in the SPOILERS forum, for obvious reasons.
  14. I must say this topic is definitely bringing out the overactive (and undersexed) imaginations of the posters.
  15. The story of K2 was not thought out and had no foundation in any philosophy. It was just a bunch of cut scenes with talking heads speaking more gibberish than an early Star Trek TOS episode, spun together with meaningless fights and pointless dialogue trees. The characters, specifically Kreia, Atris and the Jedi Masters all contradicted themselves in their dialigues: some even in the same monologue, in adjacent sentences! It was like trying to understand a six-year-old's theory on the creation of icecream. Very poor.
  16. No,not really..the dacians were one of the thracian tribes..the biggest one actually... It was called Dacia as a province yes,tho the name is older and it's the way Romans called them, the greeks for example called them "geti" which I'm not sure if it exists in English.. After 106,the year in which the second war ended and Dacia was turned into a province,Latin is being used on a larger scale... It becomes the oficial language even after the Roman Empire abandons the teritory.. After that we get invaded a lot... But the now Roman-Dacian people remains there till this very day <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ... And you even declared war on the Germans in WW1, for about two weeks until they overran your country. Thansk for the history lesson, Baley!
  17. No..I checked it there also and it's a bunch of crap... The goths didn't remain here, they just spent a small period of time before moving twords the Roman Empire I can't belive they made such a msitake <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The quoted version doesn't disagree with your version; the ancient Romanian people were Thracian, then Rome (Emperor Trajan) came to town and killed that guy with the beard (he's on Trajan's column in Rome) and then Thrace became Dacia, then The Goths came in for a while before moving on to attack Rome. Now, the Goths, Visigoths and Vandalls sacked Rome in the fifth century, so the Goths were in Dacia from 270ACE to, say, 450ACE ?
  18. The media is a servant to ratings. They don't have a conscience; they have shareholders. A favourite trick in the societies I have lived in over the last couple of decades is to build someone up in the media, so that they can be cut down in a most delightfully tragic manner: perfect copy for the media as they feed the cult of celebrity with sensationalism on the way up and down. War is not a pleasant thing. But don't think that there isn't going to be a lot of it: you can't expect to sit at your computer sucking 300+ watts of coal fired power out of the grid whilst people in Egypt will be going to war with the people in Ethiopia because they want to damn the Blue Nile and cut off some of Egypt's water supply. The only way the West's "democracy" meme will survive is by leading by example. I see plenty of examples of hypocritical "do as I say" governments out there.
  19. I just made it harder for someone else. 30 Questions and I beat the black suited fetishist. *does little jig*
  20. Romanian... It's Romanian... Romanian comes from our Roman heritage... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not Dacian or Thracian, then. Because they was a bunch of pre-Christian heathens. Dacia: An ancient region and Roman province corresponding roughly to modern Romania. Inhabited before the Christian era by a people of Thracian stock with an advanced material culture, the region was abandoned to the Goths after A.D. 270.
  21. KotOR 3: Total Denial
  22. Okay, then definitely not EPROM. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is it in a static-insulated sleeve?
  23. We're talking about the Star Wars fantasy world here, I hope.
