  1. You just earned yourself a severe lashing from Darque. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm still trying to work out if that is a good or a bad thing ...
  2. No! There is a difference between writing a conclusion and leaving the story untold, and this game was unfinished. Need I detail AGAIN the party members -- the NPCs we spent 40+ hours meeting, influnecing and generally trying to empathise with, only to have them ... what? What exactly happened to all of them? That is not a conclusion! And the big difference with K2 and LotR: Two Towers and even ESB is that in both those films, the third had been written (at least in some detail, for ESB, and completely for fifty years, with LotR), so although there was a cliff-hanger, the subplots were summarised before the end of the film and so we -- the audience -- didn't have to "use our imagination" to work ou what happened to them. If we're going to "use our imagination", why bother geting the game at all? I can imagaine a whole bunch better than a mere video game can deliver: I can lucid dream about flying, and there is no computer in the world that can give me that sensation. In other words, your argument is specious.
  3. Hey, ever heard of lurking, n00bie? How about Search? Try putting your suggestions in the 6th volume of the thread (<{POST_SNAPBACK}>)
  4. It's the sound that a psychopath makes just before bludgeoning his next victim to death ...
  5. Just because the game finishes, does not an ending make. You are confusing a stopping of further progress with a written and directed conclusion to a story (remember a story needs a beginning, a middle and an end!)
  6. Females in England hate very attractive women. They are pillored and ostracized (except by men, who tend to drool a lot and look at their chests ...)
  7. None of you are taking this posting seriously
  8. Regrets, I've had a few ... But then again, too few to mention ...
  9. Now, now, no need to be hostile. As for wit, it's not really a witty subject, gender re-assignment; so it is a little difficult to make light. (Oh, I'm sure Billy Connoly or Chris Rock would pull it off, but then again none of us here get paid shedloads of money to appear on stage being funny ...)
  10. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth. Oh, that's nice. I'm glad they'll get something.
  11. I wonder where the Mods are ... ?
  12. I would certainly not make a pre-judgement; no -- I am quite willing to try them first. They did get rave reviews, IIRC, so they deserve that, at least. (I am quite fond of adventures ...)
  13. I resemble that remark. I am ready and waiting for you to begin!
  14. And for all of you out there in IhateMorrowindLand, here is the game beaten in 15 minutes! Talk about Warhol Fame!
  15. 5 Free games included with PC Gamer this month: The White Chamber I Of the Enemy HHGttG (This you play online, so you can do it from work ...) GTA 1 & 2 Beneath A Steel Sky
  16. It is a secret mind-control experiment ... the weak-minded are the first affected ...
  17. Well, it's just you asked us for advice without supplying that info, so we are really the blind leading the blind ...
  18. ... More virulent than the Cane Toad ...
  19. Thats my favorite Adventure game ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1. Why is it your favourite (or near-as, damnit!) game evva? 2. Why didn't you review it in my thread? (Of which this thread is obviously a blatant rip-off ...)
  20. Number 9 on the all-time high scores list, with a bullet. Just overtook Mr Spamman, none other than Baley himself!
  21. He has a wife, you know ...
