When two cards just aren't enough anymore... www.vr-zone.com <{POST_SNAPBACK}> One problem with that setup: physics calculations require a different hardware architecture. Whereas Video is just huge parallel processing of pixels (bump mapping then multiple shadow creations, a bit like netburst), which are all read-only; the physics calculations requires that the original data be updated as a consequence of calculations, so they are read-and-write (because the thousands of objects will have their momentum impacted by the momentum of all the other objects). So it is much better to have a PPU as well as a dual-card set-up.

2006 FIFA World Cup
Although I wouldn't write-off the Socceroos until the final whistle, and even though my partner fondly remembers watching Totti play for Italy with her father (who died nearly 20 years ago), I doubt even sheer determination and perspiration can get a ball past the most expensive goalie in the world, even if the forwards aren't the superstars they were a decade ago ... Should be a godd game, though.

2006 FIFA World Cup
Australia are playing Italy. No, no no! the two scenarios are: England score in the first part of the first half, then desperately try to defend this goal all match, only to be drawn into entra time and lose on penalties, OR Ecuador keep a goal ahead of England the entire match If England had played Mexico yesterday, then they would already be out.

I'm onto you Eldar ... you will just build a new computer for yourself, and recycle the one you have now for your wife ... and take all the credit from her for spoiling her with a "super" computer. I think the real test is whether it can handle Freelancer: Discovery capital ship explosions. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Haha those lag bad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> they would need two things: a PhysX PPU or similar, a patch to second out the explosions to the PPU. :D

SUPERMAN RETURNS!
Trampolining is a very demanding sport: I used to have one and believe me it was very good for cardio and general fitness. I read that he did bulk up, though, taking food supplements and doing some weight training.

Metal polish can be used on CDs and DVDs. Until the next gen (double layer and beyond) disks, all the stratches are just in the coating, and can be removed with abrasive cleaners. (Next gen HD-DVD and Blu-ray double layered disks will have the data so close to the surface that a scratch will damage the recording.)

Do teh rocks portal, too?- the Great British Future
Imagining Albion: The Great British Future Francis Spufford charts the history of Britain - through its Science Fiction. Francis won't quite be arguing that every starship in British SF is a milkfloat in disguise but the diversity of ideas in British SF means that these novels do give startling alternative snapshots of Britain down the years. Science Fiction has always been a genre of ideas, and so, contrary to its escapist image, can provide a hugely evocative record of the time in which it was written. In the work of HG Wells, therefore, we find Fabian dreams of a future without poverty; nightmares about overpopulation and dark eugenic designs. In Huxley, a fascination with intelligence, and how it can be achieved. In Iain M Banks, curious echoes of the benign Wilson-era Britain in which the author grew up. This series features some of the biggest names in British Science Fiction, past and present, including Arthur C Clarke and Iain M Banks. Francis explores the sometimes sinister history of utopian dreams, from Thomas More to HG Wells to Iain M Banks. Linkie- What are you playing ...
