Looks like you've graduated to the big boys now, ehh? :D Good 2 c u get your own thread....
-
It means that it is just an early design for a more professional drawing I plan to do when I find the time... :D Of course, that just my lame excuse... "

Nice work Sentry! EDIT: She looks a bit thin though... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Does she? She is at an akward angle, but ya she does look a bit thin... That is because this is a quick concept sketch...

Sorry guys, I'm way too busy at the moment to draw anything worth posting... I've got a massive backlog of homework this week... PS: funny stuff DL :D Great pic Bastilla Skywalker PPS: I've finally roughed out a bastilla pose I like, but who knows when I will have the chance to actually draw and color it...

Here is some really crappy hk stuff I drew while watching TV an hour ago... I was playing with perspective more than anything. Sadly, the paper was all bubbled up so it didn't scan well <_< PS: I like your Exile, Arkendale. Kor that wild wookie pic is pretty sweet too! EDIT: Actually, I think I put the shading in to hide my numerous screwups.... " Its a bad habit I used to have. Thats why I rarely hand shade my stuff anymore. I tend to give in to temptation! Perspective is hard to play with. I would love to ignore it, but i'm trying to get better at drawing figures from every angle. Its frustrating . In a lot of ways it is easier to mess with perspective with a computer program like photoshop, because it allows you to erase you mistakes a bit more gracefully...

I'm stuck in a 5 hour saturday XML class... I'm bored, so I made a little sketch of the Exile using good old Windows paint...

Ya, thats better. I like it! She looks like the type of old hag that eats small children... Creepy, very creepy Uh, sorry... no. I'm actually a computer science student. I have only had one art class since High School and that was just a design course... I haven't really done much art since HS. Figure drawing is pretty new to me. I have a more traditional, still-life sort of art background... I'm afraid that art runs in my blood. My family is made up of artists. You should see my older sister's stuff. Art was her College minor. She can actually paint, something I just cannot seem to do (not well anyway). (Probably because i'm a bit color blind... " ) Colored pencils, chalk, charcoal, pastels; I can handle, but paintbrushes are just a pain... That is why I use photoshop EDIT: But as you may have noticed, I tend to just use a plain old mechanical pencil

I did a sketch this morning while reading my homework... Its a bit more artsy than my other stuff. Hope you like T3! EDIT: Hmmm... I realized this pic actually looks better as a tiny thumbnail... Probably because its a really small drawing (2'' by 2").

I'm 22...

Sweet stuff! (w00t) Great muscle work on Bao Dur! Possibly, who do you want to see? I'm thinking of doing two large pics that will have the crews of KOTOR and KOTOR2 in them....

Thanx guys! gals! :"> I was going to say, "of course not! I like this thread! BUT, it seems to be degenerating quickly..." Sure thing and somehow I'm convinced Sentry will think the same. Poor lad, his really pretty pic is like two pages ago now... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whatever, it happens... " Wow, I posted my pick at 3:30 AM then went to sleep. When I woke up this thread was about 10 pages longer... Somebody had to say it... Please people, just edit your old posts if at all possible! PS: Hmmm... Arkendale, your Malak pic looks suspiciously like my avatar!

My 1st attempt at art (2nd sketch patch May13)
Sentry replied to TetsuJedi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hey , believe me you do not suck. Your stuff is extremely good for a beginner If you are havin trouble, I would recommend that you spend more time sketching, without using an eraser. Just draw, use as many crazy lines as you want. Most artists have to warm up this way. It may seem like a waste of paper, but its the only way to learn. It also gives you a chance to work out poses and action lines for your more professional projects... Also, you might want to check out some library books. It can help to have a handy reference guide to explain perspective and all that jazz Cheers, ~Sentry -
More art for you guys... A grayscale shaded version of my Revan/Malak pic EDIT: I uploaded a slightly better version of the pic...
-
Hey , at least your profs are observant enough to notice you're not paying attention... Mine tend to just drone on without acually looking at their students. Madly tapping keyboards are kinda the norm. Of course, I go to a slacker community college, so I guess that makes sense... PS: Sorry, I'm OT
-
Ya, he kinda looks like he forgot what he was about to do... " Malak: "Die Revan, you scu -... Wait! who am I? What is this glowing stick? What happened to my Jaw? Why do I feel a breeze around my thighs?"
-
Anyway, I drew a truely horrible Malak picture today. I mean god awful. So I had to make up for it somehow, else I would get a depressed. So, I drew this... Its Revan fighting Malak on the Starforge. I drew it while I was watching TV, so I wasn't really paying attention (sometimes thats a good thing...), so its a lot more cartooney than my usual stuff, but it was a lot of fun to do... Hope you like, ~Sentry PS: I don't know why dark lord's robes are always swirling around like that... They must have a wind blower under there somewhere. It must be in the dark lord catalog
-
ya, thats always how I saw her... She has to have some reason for falling to the dark side, being an abandoned child makes for a good starting point, I think Thanx for the nice link...
-
ya, true.... I'm thinking that he/she took it at a young age, but it is, of course, up for interpretation. That leads to the question of when exactly Revan fell to the darkside... The masters at the conclave kinda hinted that Revan was always suspicious and that he/she fell before the mandalorian wars, but the council was unable to bring them back to the light... Juhani, on the other hand, remembers Revan as a rather heroic lightsider, so that must have been when Revan was younger... 20, 21 YO How old do you think Revan is during KOTOR2... 30? 35? 40? older? I would say he/she is roughly 35 to 38... which means that Juhani is probably in her early twenties...
-
Darn, that kinda destroys my theory that Bastilla went with Revan... It also creates some continuity problems, because Bastilla was a rather important Jedi. The sith would want her almost as much as Revan! She would be hunted everywhere... And wouldn't the Jedi council have known she was still around!? It brings up to many loose ends and questions... <_<
-
Well Revan doesn't have a lasr name ..it was never mentioned in the games... Revan might be an alias tho ...perhaps he's name was so ugly that he had to change it " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm thinkin its just an alias. The only Dark lord that actually used their real name was Malak, so the chances that 'Revan' was his/her real name are rather small...
-
Hmmm... What does she say? I have only played it once: LS female Revan LS male Exile So, I missed out on this stuff!
-
I likey... Especially his chin! (w00t) Its Carth Leno! PS: I'm still working on a bastilla concept... Give me some ideas, should she: 1) be fighting Malak, 2) be fighting Revan, Or 3) be posing?
