  1. I'm pretty sure there's a decent group planning on getting Left 4 Dead on the 360. We've talked about it a couple times. What about BF: Bad Company? Anyone getting it? The reviews are favorable.
  2. That's awesome!
  3. Netflix isn't worth it just for steaming. Most of the movies are older and they don't update it terribly fast. It's just a nice bonus to the mail system.
  4. Subscribe...you know you want to. Actually I love my Netflix subscription. It's fairly cheap and I get the new movies pretty much the week they come out.
  5. I didn't get the impression he was claiming Dragon Age: Origins was in any way going to the consoles. It was a purposefully vague statement about the future of a game that Bioware is hoping will turn into a big franchise. BGDA stood for Baldur's Gate: DA, so I fail to see how this isn't a part of the BG franchise. It may be a distant cousin, but it's got the name. In that same way, a Dragon Age game on the console could be extremely different than the PC version and his general statement would still be true.
  6. Baldur's Gate went to consoles as well. I imagine it will be a similiar situation, on the PC you'll have the depth of party management and more strategic control of combat, and on the console it will be streamlined for ease of play with a controller.
  7. Wow, we can get together online and watch movies together! It's like we don't even need real life friends anymore
  8. Heh, I had both Volourn and DR on ignore, but I decided to take a look at these posts. Boy was that a bad idea!
  9. That's really the key question to the whole thing. The combat is pretty much what one would expect. How much of the game is not about combat though. My expectation is that the game will be combat heavy and you won't be able to avoid it. That's the trend with pretty much every game out there today, and Bethesda hasn't ever released a game that let you sneak your way through it. I'm not going to hate the game if that's the case, but I'll be a bit bummed. If they can really capture the feel of the original, where you felt you could talk your way out of most bad situations, that would be phenomenal. I'm glad to see that the Vault experience looks like a fun non-combat episode, but I'm guessing it's a lot of run and gun after you leave the vault. I'd love to be proven wrong though.
  10. Whoa, Netflix is teaming up with Xbox Live. That means with a Netflix account you will have free access to a ton of movies. That's awesome, and I imagine it will compliment the current mailing system they have in place. I wonder if it will be streaming like on the Netflix website, or if it's a download?
  11. Great video. I just hope there is a way to avoid all that fighting with some good conversation or sneak skills.
  12. I think we should all buy Battlefield: Bad Company and squad up for some mayhem. I hear it's awesome.
  13. So Krezack is more of a Flagship Studios disciple? Ok, that works for me.
  14. I think it's lame that Favre went through all the retirement hullaballoo and then changed his mind. It was a big decision and he should stick with it. If he wants to be involved in the game, there are other ways to do it.
  15. I think we are just arguing over the word support here. Why don't we come up with a new word that means spiritually supporting a company?
  16. Maybe it's like a lightning shotgun?
  17. I liked the Witcher. I haven't finished it yet, but I plan on going back to it eventually. It was well done.
  18. Flagship Studios is a business. The only way to support them is by: A. Buying their product B. Getting other people to buy their product C. Contributing to the creation of their product
  19. Seconded. Sir-Tech went out with a bang at least, both their flagship titles released extremely good sequels right before the end. That's what was puzzling, it's not like they ever released a bad game. Wizardry 5 and JA2 just didn't sell enough, for some odd reason. Flagship put a ton of hype into a game that really fell flat. Maybe it has redeeming qualities at this stage after a few patches, but is it really revolutionary?
  20. You waited four years for thier E3 teaser? I'm sorry to hear that. I'm excited to hear more, the video was solid. Bioware has never gone above and beyond with videos, they are functional. My favorite is still that kid getting thrown over the railing in BG.
  21. Yep, you pay $5-9 and you get the actual game downloaded, you can even put it on a CD. Gametap is great because you get the entire library for a flat fee. It's given me a chance to play titles and genres I wouldn't necessarily spend money on individually. But if you want to own a game, GOG sounds good.
  22. No thanks for you Hurlshot! Whatever, I just sharpied over your face!
  23. I'm excited for Mercenaries 2, also. It's like GTA in a war zone.
  24. Neither? I suppose it shares a bit of Dexter quirkiness.
