  1. If most of those reviews seem to be coming from people that haven't played the game, absolutely. Nothing about the setting or storyline seems to be pushing some agenda. It looks like a pretty typical fantasy game.
  2. My kids are excited about Ratchet and Clank, so they must be doing something right. I was always a fan of the Resident Evil movies, but I can also just spend 90 minutes staring at a picture of Milla Jovovich and be content.
  3. In a lot of ways, Hillary is simply the safe choice. She is going to continue business as usual and nothing major will really change. She's actually a more conservative option than Obama. Trump seems to be running a weird parody campaign, and as entertaining as it has been, I hardly say it warrants an actual vote. Realistically I'll throw a vote to the Libertarian or an independent candidate, but for the purposes of this exercise, the choice between a career politician and a theatrical real estate developer seems pretty easy.
  4. Why is it worse to ISIS as an enemy than any other real world faction? Granted it is a lot less likely than China, Russia, or even North Korea, but those all get plenty of play as the bad guys in games.
  5. According to google, she was the little girl from Hook.
  6. That's hardly an epidemic unique to the Hillary supporters. There is a fairly large contingent of people that think Obama is a Muslim.
  7. Clinton will still pull in all of the democratic base in a general election, particularly against a candidate like Trump or Cruz. Bernie Sanders supporters don't hate Clinton the way some Republicans hate Trump. The Republican party had a great chance to win with a more moderate candidate, but that has clearly floundered. Clinton is a tired candidate with too much history. But versus Trump? I don't see how he gets enough support. Granted, Trump's entire campaign has defied political logic. It's been a bizarre election.
  8. Huh, I'm actually surprised at how well they are pulling off the look. I didn't have much faith in it being live action, but I like the style. It still looks a bit goofy, but that fits with the setting well enough.
  9. Ugh, I hate when I get sucked into reading the Codex. That being said, this thread would probably get more attention in the C&C area. Not a lot of traffic comes through this way.
  10. I've visited a number of places where it was pretty uncomfortable being the only white guy around. There are places all over where skin color can make a difference, but I'd say you are better off in Mississippi than you are in many countries.
  11. The whole video of a dumb college student giving another dumb college student with dreadlocks a hard time about cultural appropriation is blown out of proportion, too. These are dumb college students, they are being given way more credit than they deserve. Most people see that video and go "well she is crazy" and that's that. She'll probably outgrow it, or she'll move out to some commune somewhere. All these protests about her protest simply amplify her voice. If you take a side on these issues you are a part of the problem. The only reasonable path is to roll your eyes at all parties involved.
  12. What an insufferable a-hole. It's basically him saying "I don't like what these people are doing, so let me sink down to their level and wallow around." I'm 100% positive that is a ridiculously dumb tactic and will only make things worse. Take the fricken' high road. You obviously didn't watch the video to completion, or what Whittle ultimately said is very lost on you. I watched it to completion. I didn't say I took offense to his convoluted message, I said it is a stupid way to make a point. Who does he think he will convince with such gibberish?

  14. Well I certainly hope I'm in the boat with GD, and not Vals.
  15. So the Sharks are up 2-0, which of course is part of their plan to emotionally crush me.
  16. I agree with this quite a bit, although I don't think anyone here was really doing that. But the people that act like their pets are the same as children are annoying as hell.
  17. Well I'm already pretty deep in the red on my relationships with my kids and wife, so I'm hoping there is some sort of price cap.
  18. As a Giants fan, it's pretty crazy to watch. Sandoval was a favorite, but everyone in the organization knew he had serious nutrition issues. He's a big guy, always will be, but after a fantastic rookie year he ballooned and got sent to the bench for the 2010 playoff run. So the Giants worked with him, had him on a restricted diet, and he had a bunch of very good seasons and two great postseason runs. But he seemed disgruntled by it. He left for Boston, which I totally understand, I'd love to play at Fenway. He said the Giants disrespected him, which seemed a bit overdramatic. But now he's just out of control with his weight. The guy has so much talent, it is a shame that he can't see that the Giants were just trying to help him stay on the field by keeping him on a diet.
  19. You are not competing with other teams in the state. California is huge. It is really just about overcoming the apathy of the LA area.
  20. Not quite sure how you describe Hunger Games aa tame. They are pretty dang brutal when you think about what is happening in them. They lack the subtlety of something like The Giver.
  21. Yikes Tale! Last night Carrot Top rubbed my head and complimented my wife's boobs. Then he gave is a shot of crown royal. It was a good night.
  22. Speaking of paninis, we just ate at a place called Stripburger. I had a decent cheeseburger, but my wife had one of the better veggie burgers ever. It was quinoa with veggies and spices, and it clearly wasn't a frozen patty. We had them with adult milkshakes. I had peanut butter, chocolate, and vanilla vidka in mine. Excellent.
  23. I have concerns about where you guys are putting these paninis.
  24. Ate at Carbone last night, a classic italian place that originally started in New York, but they have one in Vegas now. I had spicy rigatoni and chicken scarp. It was an amazing meal.
  25. Had something called a Moscow Mule last night, served in a copper goblet. It was fantastic.
