  1. But really, that's as much on you as it is on the other person. You've got to be able to let the little stuff go. Sometimes even the big stuff. Yeah, it's not just that I have to put up with her, it's that she has to put up with ME, and I can't manage that half the time. So, ideal, as in "ideal gas" (i.e. doesn't exist in reality)? The ideal woman is the one that helps you get through those times when you can't manage yourself. And you do the same for her. It's like a team sport. Having kids is like getting called up to the big leagues. Just like in sports, some teams are better than others. My wife and I are the San Antonio Spurs.
  2. I expect Xcom 2 to get some new content that makes it worth additional playthroughs. They hit it out of the park with the Xcom 1 expansions.

  4. I actually think Portland was a tougher match up for GSW than the Clippers even before the injuries. Lilliard seems to thrive when he plays the Warriors. Griffin can also be shut down pretty effectively by Bogut.
  5. Then I'm out. Quitter.
  6. It's what's under the bikini that is important!
  7. I think I can talk about this now, since it turned out to be nothing, but I was a bit concerned about one of my testicles. It had some weird stuff going on. I went in for a physical, I was due for one anyways, and the doctor tells me it is just sperm build up from my vasectomy. Everything else was in tip top shape. Always a bit weird to go through the 'turn head and cough' routine but I feel better knowing I don't have ball cancer.
  8. I don't know if I'd call the thread serious. I just thought it was pretty telling that Kirottu began it with humor and wit and a bunch of people went straight to the physical.
  9. I don't want to jinx it, but I doubt there is any scenario in which Houston can win 3 straight. They just can't keep up with the depth. The Houston starters basically have to play the whole game to keep ahead. They get worn out, but the Warriors can keep rolling out bench players. Game 3 was basically a best case scenario for Houston, and they still almost blew it. That being said, second round will be tougher for sure.
  10. On my first date with my wife, two things stuck with me. She laughed at all my corny jokes and finished her entire meal. Those turned out to be much more important than you would think. She is my ideal partner.
  11. It think it's one helluva a stretch to say he was digging deep. Yeah.
  12. Some of you wear shallowness like a badge of honor. Looks are important, but they change with time. If you want to find an actual ideal partner you need to go a bit deeper than that. Which is exactly what Kirottu was doing when he started the thread. To each their own, I suppose, but odds are you will be on your own a lot.
  13. Kirottu has started this in good taste, but I'm pretty sure it will spin off the rails pretty fast. You can tell the single guys by the ones that keep posting about weight.
  14. I'm pretty worried, but realistically the Warriors can win the next round without him if they play like they did in that second half. It will be a much tougher series, of course, with a lot less room for error. But facing the Spurs without Curry is a scenario I do not like to imagine.
  15. Hoonding has really jumped the shark.
  16. If we really want to capture the spirit of the 2nd amendment, we should worry less about our individual stockpile of guns and get into an organized militia. But those people get labeled as crazies.
  17. It has nothing to do with morality and everything to do with maturity.
  18. Aren't you in your late 20's? When I say under-age, I'm not referring to anything sexual. There is simply a point where you are too old to be hanging out with 17 year old girls, let alone smoking pot and clubbing with them. Letting them know that would have been perfectly normal when you learned their age. Honestly I'd also say you are too old to be smoking pot with strangers in car parks, but maybe I'm out of line there. edit: Just noticed your age says 41. That's terrible.
  19. That time when Prince shredded in front of some legendary guitarists: This is also a great song: http://en.musicplayon.com/play-touch?v=399286
  20. I've never been into strip clubs, I just don't think the service of looking good and paying attention to me is actually worth money. But I'm pretty stingy with my money I suppose. I'd rather pay for a massage, and I don't even mean a happy ending one. The whole Bruce smoking pot with underage girls thing is pretty skeevy. How old is Bruce now? How is it acceptable for a teacher to be smoking out with students? How does that not raise red flags?
  21. What other reasons could there be then? Should have a good reason to say someone shouldn't own something in a society. I'd imagine he was referring to the high rate of regular gun violence, accidents, and suicides. Much like terrorist attacks, your chances of being involved in a mass shooting are extremely low, but they get the bulk of the attention. The counterpoint to that is typically something about how dangerous cars are. I'm just not feeling this debate.
  22. Been getting ready for my daughter's 9th birthday part tomorrow. I hit the backyard with the weed wacker. I hate doing that. But the house is coming together and she's got a pretty cool Root Beer theme going on.
  23. I'm not sure that the government is really all that committed though. The Assault Weapons Ban expired and has not been able to get back through the senate. The background checks are the big new thing, and those are facing plenty of resistance within the government itself, so who knows how it will end up looking under new leadership?
  24. I'm confused, did Lexx just refer to Guardians of the Galaxy as mediocre family cinema?
  25. I have my moments where I would like to see some changes in the way gun ownership works in this country, particularly after a tragic event like Sandy Hook. But at the end of the day, it is simply unfeasible both logistically and culturally to put any serious restrictions on guns in this country. Instead I'd like to see better education and awareness, and I think a group like the NRA should be at the forefront of that. But they seem to spend more time on political posturing.
