Conan Exiles is releasing some hero companions with backstories and quests in October, so I've been building a bit. They are also supposed to be updating the whole NPC system so they seem more lively.

I have been working my way through The Clone Wars. I just started season 4 and it has been a fun ride. I plan on jumping into Bad Batch after that.

France Olympics 2024
It's not really a dream team scenario anymore, as countries have caught up in sports like Basketball. Sure, the US has a lot of depth, but Serbia had the best player this year.

I don't know man, that sounds like a convenient story that is pushed by big tobacco. "Oh sorry we gave everyone lung cancer, here's a chemical filled robot **** for you all to suck on so you can quit cigarettes. It comes in fun flavors!" https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/can-vaping-damage-your-lungs-what-we-do-and-dont-know-2019090417734 It sure sounds like we don't have a full grasp on how harmful vaping is long term, and use is skyrocketing by young non-smokers, not just people trying to quit smoking. Sure, it doesn't make all of your stuff smell bad, and hopefully the 2nd-hand effects are a lot less devastating, but it is still harmful chemicals in your lungs. As to them being better than fermented beverages, I'd like to see that study. The reality is most people have a few drinks a week. I doubt you can find many vapers that take a few hits a week, so the amount of consumption s going to be vastly different. Sure, vaping is probably safer than being a full blown alcoholic, but that doesn't mean it compares favorably to having a glass of wine with dinner.

I'd say he's super exclusive. He doesn't care what color your skin is as long as you can feed his ego.

Yeah, smoking is messed up. My grandmother has emphysema and it was miserable for her final years. I'm pretty worried about what is going to happen to all these young people who are vaping. I get the feeling that in a couple decades we are going to start to see some horrific side effects.

The All Things Political Topic
He has always been about the politics, though. Or rather, he has always been about power consolidation, whether it is in business or politics. Not that it excuses his actions and words, but it does all go a bit deeper than just 'racism' when it comes to Trump. I'd almost say it is more dangerous that isn't just hatred that motivates him.

The All Things Political Topic
In his pseudo-defense, I do think for Trump it is less about the color of a person's skin and more about winning over his racist base. So maybe Trump isn't racist, he just does a lot of racist things.

She is a genetic anomaly, which around 5 percent of the population is. But she was was born female and didn't ever transition, which people seem to be struggling to understand. But that's the whole issue with all of this gender politics stuff. Genetics are not black and white. They are complicated.- France Olympics 2024
I just read the story on this. Your hot take is dumb. Imane Khelif is not transgender. She's not even new to the Olympics. She lost in 2020 in the semi-finals. https://time.com/7006338/imane-khelif-lin-yu-ting-gender-controversy-olympics-women-boxing/ Genetics are complicated. Griselda - Damn, Sofia Vergara can act. This is a very well done mini-series. Very similar to the one done about Pablo Escobar.- Cinema and Movie Thread: coming at you at 24fps
Deadpool & Wolverine - I took the whole family and it was a ton of fun. If you didn't love the first two, then obviously it isn't going to be for you, but it had some amazing cameos. I don't want to spoil anything but:- France Olympics 2024
People are freaking out about the Last Supper. I mean, it looked like a bacchanal feast to me, but whatever. Everyone is so reactive. I love the complaints about keeping politics and religion out of the Olympics too. They have always been political.- The All Things Political Topic

Xenonauts 2 - They still have one big update to go before the game is able to be finished, but I couldn't help myself. The game is fantastic early on. Fighting the cleaners at the start instead of jumping right into it with aliens is a nice touch. The combat is great. I've got 17 soldiers right now and they are starting to get a bit decent. I've got one sniper who leads the pack in kills. In the first downed UFO mission, he ended up with 4 kills, and the last one was with his sidearm after his rifle ran dry. He's a legend already.- The All Things Political Topic
It's not a requirement in High School in California (nor is the SAT test). You don't usually take it unless you've met with a recruiter for service. You only have to take the SAT's if you want to get in to certain colleges. It has become less important in the last decade, although it seems to be making a comeback. The SAT is a **** test, btw. It isn't a good indicator of the modern skills students need to succeed today. It is outdated and fails to really measure cognitive ability. It does not hold up to Bloom's taxonomy. I have no idea how the ASVAB does in that regard. I hear it is better.- What You've Done Today - Yesterday is but today's memory, and tomorrow is today's dream.
