  1. I'm ready for more Shadowrun.
  2. Do you really even need a car if you only put 40k miles on it over 20+ years? There are so many other transportation options nowadays, you might want to think about just letting it go. Get an e-bike.
  3. My mom bought me this book because the guy started with triathlons. Yeah, I'm not trekking across Antarctica, but it's a great book about his journey.
  4. But do we get to shoot at a bunch of stuff?
  5. MLB The Show is the greatest RPG ever created.
  6. https://thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/482463-texas-sues-over-california-travel-ban-to-11-states Huh, so we have a state's rights case here. Which state deserves their rights? Hard to imagine the Supreme Court doesn't throw this out. Texas is asking the court to force California to do something, whereas California isn't forcing Texas to change anything.
  7. Red Dead Redemption 2. I mean, it even had realistic horse testicles!
  8. Box offices in general are in decline, I thought. I mean, there are just so many options out there to see good entertainment.
  9. Not really a gaming opinion, but this is a myth. Games, movies, TV, and literature are plowing through sensitive subjects at a greater rate than ever before. There has been a massive jump in the amount of media we all have access to, but that has also included a massive spike in the ability to criticize. I'm curious what subjects you think western games are not addressing?
  10. Yeah, that might beat vulture for worst bird choice.
  11. I finished Dracula on Netflix. It was only 3 episodes, I guess. It started off really well, but fell off a cliff in the last episode. I'd recommend the first 2 episodes.
  12. It doesn't count because you don't mean it.
  13. Yep, I agree with Lexx. RPG Maker is a perfect starting point for creating a game. Lots of art assets, tutorials, etc. to get into it. RPG Maker MV is the most recent release, and probably the easiest to jump into. But they all have different strengths and weaknesses.
  14. While I am sure there are plenty of good reasons to complain about MMO's, I've never understood the monthly fee complaint. First off, how many single player games do you actually play longer than a month? Secondly, I cancel and re-up regularly. It is typically always worth a good chunk of hours of entertainment when I do that. The cost tends to be pretty low, much lower than a new game, so I would prefer being duped that way than buying a brand new game for full price and it being mediocre.
  15. My wife is out of town this weekend, so I am responsible for taking my daughter to her dance competition. It is amazing watching your kid grow into this amazing graceful and focused athlete.
  16. MMORPG's are better than single player games.
  17. Decided to watch Suicide Squad with my daughter, since we will probably catch Birds of Prey in the next week or so. I enjoyed it in the theater when it came out, but I so rarely go to see movies that it is always a bit of fun just to have the big screen experience. I still really enjoyed Margot Robbie and that is what makes it a watchable film. But it was not fun watching more Jared Leto and the silliness of the plot didn't hold up well with a second viewing. Also it was a TBS version, meaning it was edited. I think that might have helped by shortening it up a bit.
  18. The crazy thing is I would love to see the vocational and trade school stuff brought back into High Schools, and he covered that in the State of the Union as well. It's just hard to celebrate that in between all the rhetoric and sniping.
  19. I am all for major educational reform. Yes, a good start would be not throwing 30+ kids in with one teacher and expect they are all going to thrive.
  20. Also: https://www.publicschoolreview.com/blog/new-study-confirms-that-private-schools-are-no-better-than-public-schools
  21. Yes, clearly the best way to improve our public education system is to send more people to private schools.
