  1. Ah! I wondered if that might be the case, thanks very much. Btw C2B? What stats are most important to dialogue, is it a chance hit resolved by having the correct nominal stat ? Also, is there a reputation element? thanks in advance
  2. Before I submit a bug report I want to make sure I am getting this right, when engaging in dialogue I chose the character with the highest Intellect and Lore which happened to be BB Priest, I started chatting and up came some dialogue branches requiring INTELLECT 14 and LORE 5; however, they were red stating that to use that dialogue branch I needed Intellect 14 and Lore 4, I checked three times, BB Priest definitely has the correct stats, so is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?
  3. You're not wrong, the music is gorgeous, PoE has all the hallmarks of a classic crpg in the making.
  4. The king is dead, long live the king! I've been waiting fifteen years for a game similar in quality and atmosphere to Baldurs Gate and BF II; well, it looks like I've finally found it. The moment the game boots you realize that the product has very high production values and possibly epic rpg potential, the sound track is absolutely gorgeous, evoking wonder, danger, unknown threat and darkness. You will be immediately comfortable in the character generation scheme which though in beta has all the hallmarks of a classic crpg to come. God bless you Obsidian.
  5. You need to get the $25 beta pledge, its in the pledges add-on section, worth every penny! I spent $60 total, $35 on the game and $25 on the beta.
  6. ignore, key generated )
  7. You don't need to find $125 MrMonocle, just $60, $35 for the game and $25 for the beta but be very quick as pledges lock down on the 22nd!
  8. Nice name. My first name is Juan and my second surname is Sánchez, jeje. Peeps giggle so funny in Spanish jejeje
  9. Guys, where do we download the beta from, the Pledges page?

  11. I bow my chain-mailed head in shame
  12. Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez or if I choose a female character she will be called Chesty LaRue or Busty St Claire.
  13. I am stoked for the game but forgot to find out (not that it's important) if there is a multi-player element to the beta? thanks in advance
  14. Tapping foot..........................................aren't we there yet?
  15. England calling: "Aren't we there yet?"
  16. That makes a lot of sense, isometric on consoles has been a tide of woes....wait didn't Diablo 3 come out on the PS3? Be interesting to see how that looks and plays, I gather they added roll to the mechanics.
  17. I'd love a proper boxed version with a cloth map and a lovingly drawn manual laying out whats what.
  18. Hey everybody I am SO hyped to discover that Obsidian are working on a new rpg especially one that ISN'T first person which leads me to wonder...just why did isometric 3D rpgs fall out of vogue? Darklands, Wasteland, Ultima, Dungeon Seige, Fallout, Planetscape: Torment all had one thing in common; they were isometric. I suppose you could argue that as technology improved it was a natural progression to move to first person; however, I disagree, why weren't the advances in technology applied to isometric 3D? This article indicates that the genre is back in a big way, so why exactly did it fall out of favour? Best wishes
