Old thread here. Last couple of replies It's a show, it airs on FOX September 21, 2016 Cancelled September 28, 2016 - as for me, I've been watching Stranger Things, Vikings and The Expanse. All really good shows actually, we're living in a tv series golden age I think.

A bit too long, so new thread here.

You've gone full Hipster buddy, never go full Hipster.. Not that I can't relate, I too find it kinda mindnumbing when you have to go through tutorials for the umptenth time with what I assumed was very basic game logic.. But then I saw my mom trying out a game and I realized those aren't meant for me or you...
-
Yeah I think I'll finally get a round to actually play a full game now as well - and now stop around midgame due to frustrations with the stupid retreat system and lag.

Wasn't he referring to the many office maps in the first game?

Earth-like planet discovered at our neighbouring star Proxima Centauri, with temperatures that allow liquid water and at 1.3 Earth Mass, it seems a potential candidate for future colonization.. https://www.theguardian.com/science/2016/aug/24/earth-like-planet-found-orbiting-our-suns-nearest-star-raises-hopes-for-life-proxima-b

So the link is down for me. A recap?

Then perhaps it's time to divorce ourselves from debt based growth? And the New Public Management ideals.. As it stands we're seeing growth for the ultra rich and austerity for everyone else. That's the kinda development that leads to fasiscm.

Or you know, maybe a restructure of industry and a breakup with the economic concept of perpetual growth. That way the economy could adjust to declining populations and it would be easier to manage resource consumption.

I read 2 local newspapers online, a very left leaning and a right-center leaning. Both very indepth and with imo great journalistic traditions. My feed on facebook is basically only information sites by now (unsubscribed from all but my closest friends' updates) For more analyctic global news I mostly have you guys and a household subsription to The Economist.

MMOs quest structures, grinding and raids seems for most players to be an acceptable substitute for a more coherent story and varied gameplay. So I'd agree, as grinding in singleplayer is always extremely boring.

I just clicked on this thread for the first time in ages and was I drunk when I wrote this or was I actually responding to someone? My opening statement in the thread I assume.

Of course the worrying thing about immortality is the old Murphey's Law problem - in that you will eventually get stuck somwhere you cannot escape from.. for the rest of eternity.

You know it's gonna be a sucky action movie with shaky cam- when they cut the trailer up so bad that you can only tell the bare minimum of what's happening on any individual shot.

Now this felt pretty good - raiding Constantinople.. A civil war and a weak Basilus allowed me to pillage their lands for almost 3 years. In fact, the sons of Ragnar have now decimated the 2 roman empires and Rome itself, to the point that Christianity is losing ground and the bigger empires are starting to fall apart. Hoping to take this game all the way to Victoria 2 -
It's getting hammered in reviews - of course.. I don't understand why people keep falling for these obviously exaggerated selling pitches. It's gonna be the same with Star Citizen, except I imagine it's going to actually be a good enough game- it's just people seem to be expecting nothing less than perfect.

I wonder if the general shift in Hollywood from very American-centric (where even Earth would generally always be shown with the North American continent facing outwards) to a more world centric view, has been due to the success of some brands abroad that had abysmal reception in the home market?

The problem with anarcho-whatever suffix you wanna put here, is of course that violence is a very effective coercion tool. So as history has shown you very quickly degenerate into have and used-to-haves. And then it starts all over again.

The state already does- but I agree in principle, I would love for all laws to be recinded, the state abolished and everyone just acting like rational ****ing adults.. Problem is when people can't handle the responsibility of that private property and starts running me over with it, just because they want coffee and can't wait 5 gorram minutes. I think some encroachment on personal liberties are in order. Especially on actions strongly and adversly affecting others- where you literally can do it anywhere else with no problem. But of course I fully respect your country's desire to do it differently, I'm just happy they agree with me here.

It's a matter of personal freedom to be a liability to everyone around you? Actually.. that explains a lot about your country come to think of it

Yeah, perhaps it's best if you put this in spoiler tags from now on Bokishi? We still have members on paid pr byte connections and those huge screenshots really mess up the mobile site. They're cool though!
