  1. Well if you'd like to be pedantic the commonly accepted "end" to the Great War was 11 November 1918, or the day the armistice went into effect. The actual peace treaty would be signed in June of 1919, and fully put into effect the following year. Also people commonly say that WW2 ended in 1945, even though the Paris Peace Treaties weren't signed until February 10 1947. There are different types of victories in war, and different parts end at different times. I don't think a soldier sees a piece of paper as the end, if history tells us anything it's the start of the next war.
  2. Just realized, this means 2077 will be releasing on GOG. Unlike the The Witchers I might get this on Gog instead. I think my love affair with Steam is finally coming to an end.
  3. The earliest comments of Kojima on combat likened it to MGS5 + Uncharted 4. Not sure where exactly it's building to. I'm sure he is taking some cues of Silent Hills after he spend so much time brain-scheming on it. Who knows where it's going. One of my favorite showings from E3 but it doesn't make the top because we haven't seen a typical gameplay loop yet.
  4. I don't think we have any idea what Outer Worlds is going to be.
  5. Oh ****, is this about the origins of Thanksgiving?
  6. I also like the third answer, that it's neither. Since the real solution would be a perfectly balanced binary tree.
  7. No, I agree. It felt exactly like how GTAV was hearkening back to GTA:SA for a few of those shots. Only with the 80's vice city feel updated for the age of social media. It felt a little too "fun and playful" which a game should be, but a cyberpunk piece of media should not. It certainly does well at conveying you'll have some sort of fun with the game, while not really saying what it's selling.
  8. Yeah, feels very similar to Deus Ex, based on the gameplay impressions. Trailer was just bad I guess. It was bad and good at the same time. I guess they are trying to speak to different people. Casting a wide net and all that. Gibson's hot take makes sense, hopefully people don't give him too much **** about it. I wonder if he's seen the screenshots?
  9. Didn't watch, but I looked it up and read a description of the premise. Having "ghost profiles" that basically convey the wisdom and lifestyle of others who have been successful or lived healthy would be indispensable to many who come from broken homes or didn't have great role-models. Information is imperative for people to operate well and life well. Especially in a world where the social environment evolves so rapidly, tons of people cling to traditional advice which is counter-productive. The next question is how ethically this is all being pulled off.
  10. When I go into my room, I guess I'm going to have to spazz out before trying to enjoy my privacy.
  11. Yeah, this game is going to be way better than I thought. First person as well. The tone looks great!
  12. I've found motion sickness is often related to the field of view. Anything under 80 usually gives me a headache. Usually I need something around 90. At least for a PC, it can be a bit narrower for a TV across the room.
  13. That came from a hiring posting, will probably be 3+ years out if I had to guess.
  14. This will certainly be one of the high points of Trump's legacy that will be remembered ad nauseam come election cycles.
  15. I think the ocean is going to devour you guys.
  16. Well they had Control, as a world premiere unless that was revealed earlier. New to me anyways. It's not surprising that they didn't reveal too much more, they need to get all these games out the door.
  17. The Last of Us Part II Ghost of Tsuhima Death Stranding Those are my three most anticipated games so far. Control also looks interest, like a game based around the Super Gravity Gun.
  18. Twitch died on me right at the start and I had to switch to the Gamespot Youtube stream, but was it just me or was Sony's conference really odd? I appreciate the music for TLoU2 and GoT, but gosh the tone was just odd. Never mind the production values, just shoddy and not smooth at all. Xbox literally recreated what Sony has done the past 2 years, what gives? Not even set piece for Dreams? I know they showed it earlier. Also
