  1. What a ****ing weirdo. When did acting change to mean role-playing, or is it all just an excuse to be sordid.
  2. Wasn't NZ recently trying to get it's own flag? I guess they are both momma's boys in the end.
  3. Wait, for real? The culture around Valve that I grew up with seems totally gone now. I don't want to act like the earlier PC consumers were more informed than the "general masses," but now that custom rigs and PC gaming are increasingly mainstream it seems like not enough of consumer base even cares. Or maybe it's a case that Valve has cornered the market enough that they are no longer in the careful tiptoeing stages of building credit with consumers.
  4. How will the Demo-"Helping the working class"-crats ever recover from Trump enacting a $12 Billion dollar bailout for farmers as a Republican?
  5. When your enemy is the other half of the country and not foreign threats, then wonder why your policies aren't working. Goes for both parties.
  6. Hopefully Disenchantment is good. I hope it doesn't have any single premise but instead just explores a bunch of themes like Futurama does.
  7. If you're predisposed to being attracted to what female hormones do, then I don't get the whole "ha, you're attractive to a trans person" shtick. It's still just being attractive to what female hormones do. A mug shot is different than a romp is different than raising kin. Transhood can be a deal-breaker like anything else, and is separate from being a bigot. Some people think the male sex is shallow, but man can a male's attraction be switched off for a plethora of non-visual reasons. When it comes to playing up attraction on the screens its more than just what the actor plays, but how people envisage their crush. Passing on one's genes is a huge component in attraction, from pheromones and beyond, to education or financial stability and personality. Obviously normalizing trans people in society is a progressive win, contriving yet another guilt trip for straight white cis men seems like a wasted effort when you really need to show up the bigots who will be launching disgusting volleys. Even by the actresses own words, it's about fighting discrimination and giving young trans people a superhero to look up to. Not to say ignorance of the masses won't take the day, but that's why efforts are made to normalize things. This seems more like incremental progressivism than any of that woe-seeking warriorism, which hopefully has hit it's peak by now.
  8. Speaking of The Rock. Jumanji was pretty good.
  9. For when you need to earn your child's seat amongst the relativist cosmopolitan elite.
  10. They have two teams right? The Dis2 and the Prey one? Unfortunately I think Harvey Smith is taking an extended sabbatical, much like Josh Sawyer, last I heard. Hopefully it comes back to direct something new.
  11. I want to see them make another new IP personally, something to replace Dishonored. As much as I like Dishonored myself, I feel the market needs something fresh and I don't want them relying on a waning IP. Dishonored 2 is highly underrated and under-purchased.
  12. Recently watched Shutter Island for the first time. Really enjoyed it. Also so Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. Always was a fan of the first one, and likewise enjoyed this one. Lily James is fantastic.
  13. At least chanters are the absolute suck this time around. Shame though, seeing as ciphers were a tour de force last time...
  14. That's not really the divide I'm talking about. What seems to be trolling is often just people speaking with the only medium they have power in, and degrading the quality of their own writing to do it. All while reconstructing established characters which are beloved by more than far-right straight white bigots. I was more talking about how the industry doesn't really sell to people who have already experienced most stories. Coming up with something new in the canon of entertainment is low priority when you can repackage an old story with some fresh varnish and market it as some ground breaking piece of media to a naive new audience. Throw in some pandering and selling this generation on the idea they are different than the past, and boom. You have a profitable product on your hands. It must be pretty soul sucking to be the creative type, but stuck working with someone else's IP or what is essentially a recasting.
  15. Nothing really landing for me, a lot of these scifi/cyberpunk projects really seem to just be chasing each other's tales and rehashing the oldest tropes and set-pieces of their respective mediums. Female Doctor looks solid for those fans. The GTAV conversation was interesting. Of course Better Call Saul will be solid. Honestly, the comic / fantastical fiction industry really seems depleted with their operating costs needs, they seem to constantly focus on selling to new upcoming audiences that have yet to experience something but refuse to indulge the entertainment of a past generation. At this point I just want to know what the next new big GoT or HP will be. I guess Westworld is sort of that at the moment.
  16. Well, The Forgotten Sanctum very much sounds like it's about Wael. I suppose Seeker, Slayer, Survivor could be about Galawain, though I feel it might more be about Skaen. The second dlc is supposed to focus around combat content.
