Well when Ep 4-6 were made the technology wasn't as good as it is now, so understandably there were much less special effects. Also Luke wasn't a reasonable educated Jedi until episode 6.

Maybe they have changed the amount of xp you receive by killing enemies or solving quests. And I do have the impression that there will be more sidequests this time around, thus more potential for xp points.

Well the PT had to be made in a such a way so that their failure with the SIth (Palpatine) could be justified. Nevertheless the New Jedi Knights trainned by Skywalker were the best Jedi ever.

Ok, seriously, your going to have to clear yoru arguement up or pick a side or something You were arguing that you wanted a "authentic" Jedi expirence and you wanted Lightsabers to go through metal/swords with no problem. So if you want an authentic expirence and a lightsaber that almost nothing can stop, you kinda have to one hit kills or it is even worse than having swords blocking lightsabers. Unless you want to argue skin and bones stop lightsabers, but metal doesn't in the authentic SW world. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just want it as an option feat/power against some weak opponments. Is that bad?

Luke Skywalker was the mosyt powerful because he rarely used his awesome command of the Force to break out of difficult situations. But I'm pretty sure that if he had no another means of doing something when he could pretty much do anything he wanted with the Force.
