  1. Why is a marriage licence clerk an elected official and why can't they just fire her for not doing her job. These are the real questions. Fix that first.
  2. Which is the most interesting class for DAI. Tried a two handed warrior with AOE damage but it got boring after I was barely out of the prolouge. Mage ?.
  3. Dragon age inquisition is installed on a loaner I got. It's.. pretty unimpressive. I chose bow-thief and combat consists of shooting ghosts at point blank range interspaced with special abilities with cooldowns, like an MMO basically. There is no dodging and rolling around like you would expect from the class description, trying to keep your distance to the target might work if it's a really slow boss but usually it's an exercise in futility. If you have a big sword you don't get a ranged attack and vice versa, just because. The pause and give order option doesn't seem to offer much advantage over just leaving the AI to do its thing. My conclusion here is that trying to make it both arcady and tactical at the same time doesn't work, pick one or the other.
  4. Yeah, is there a 'not the Ottoman Empire' in the cannon ?
  5. I wonder if we are going to get a token Arab in one of the adons.
  6. Don't know who this character is but it sounds entirely likely. Found a real crisis on the same page though http://www.themarysue.com/idris-elba-james-bond-too-street/
  7. who So too late for patches anyway. Beat the game. I think it's my favorite of the series, but there is not a lot of replayability there when it's so text heavy and you already know how it's going to go.
  8. It's 'multiplayer only' anyway. You can play single, but it's the weaker campaign, you know like every game since 2010. So tired of all the things that get broken as a matter of course when designing a game around multiplayer coop. It's always online too, for those who still care about that.
  9. How is that different from a combat round in a bg game. I can see how you might base a theater level wargame around that mechanic, a CRPG, not so much. Yes the combat in Pillars came out kinda weak. Turn based could have adressed some of those systemic issues much easier imho.
  10. The character design bothered me. I know that's a relatively strange concern, but there you go. I was also kinda disinterested in the main story. I guess I prefer characterisation and interaction over a grand imposing plot you are whittling away at throughout. Grand plots always seem to disappoint, at least in CRPGs
  11. Does the 'manage' popup you get when your item slots are full actually work. If so how ? I can't escape from the screen and I can't do anything.
  12. hmmm. Would the mobo post if it had say a broken capacitor or something. A cursory google suggests that it might. I thought since it sounds like a fruit of a poisoned tree kind of situation with everything behaving oddly. http://www.cnet.com/news/when-good-capacitors-go-bad/
  13. There is stealth ?. I thought you were just supposed to run past the detector programs while their FOV cone is pointing the other way.
  14. So if you get all the number repeats right that's a success. I think there are programs you can buy that give you more time. Gonna look into that.
  15. But a bunch of new symbols appear below on the screen after you do the number bit and the small display above starts flashing hints. Aren't you supposed to click on the rows of symbols below ? You sure the number bit does nothing other than give more time ?
  16. I have never been able to complete the hack puzzle in time and I'm at a point now where I need to or the security system will lock me out and I won't be able to proceed. The first part with the numbers you can usually muddle through, then you have to match a huge row of symbols and there is no time left. Is it always the same row it's giving hints for ?.
  17. I think they use unarmed actually. Anyway the system is very much geared toward a min max approach. Don't put points into trees you can't really afford to expand.
  18. Does base STR damage and has AP damage on critical hits. Compared to guns it gets effective faster, but it might get hard to hit anything as the enemies start leveling up and you not being able to keep up in allocation of points into melee.
  19. Considering cheating a little to not wind up with the usual min-maxed character. Doesn't really matter if you cheat abilites that kinda cancel eachother out. Having both a high gun skill and a high unarmed for instance won't necessarily help you that much. Of course if you overdo it you have pretty much ruined your playthrough.
  20. Zoning out at the long dialouges at times but I like it so far. They could have had some of the background play out on other media, like bigscreens and radio. Give short non interactive speech bubbles to random cityfolk, you know, showing rather than telling all the time. Haven't used my gun since the prolouge which is refreshing. Looks like a high etiquette build is a viable option.
  21. Anyone know why the game goes to windowed mode every time I press quicksave. The edge scroll doesn't work when it's in windowed mode.
  22. Nevermind that's what it needs for both cache and game. Game is only 2,5.
  23. 10 gigs almost. What's all that. High res 4K textures ?. I mean it's a pretty simplistic game.
  24. I was disapointed in Skellige. The realestate looks impressive but there is not much in the way of engaging questing and the scottish Vikings are pretty silly.
