  1. Been sweating like a pig all day, no air con at work. @Walsh, I've just gotten a referral to a foot guy to get rid of my disgusting foot wart. He's either going to lazer it or deep freeze it. I tried digging it out with a scalpel just like you, but it's a virus (the same virus that causes common brown moles/birth marks-whatever they are called) only when it taeks hold on the bottom of your feet it somehow manifests a lot worse. It's going to come back.
  2. Unreal tournament 3 was disappointing to me, it plays well, but they seem to have removed many of the options that meant you could have the kind of game you liked. Also one or two of the new versions of old weapons are lame. A minigun that turns into a shotgun with altfire. please. Even the menus are ugly.
  3. I liked it, although the Tokyo dialect was so thick my vocabulary failed me almost completely.
  4. Angles and demons. The Illuminati try to blow up the Vatican with an antimatter bomb they stole from CERN Indiana Jones, played by Tom Hanks this time, tries to stop them by going on a treasure hunt across rome. Why did this become so big, I mean one should never compare the movie with the book, but you have to admit the whole premise is pretty laughable. I left before it ended but i'd bet anything Obi Wan is the Illuminati infiltrator.
  5. Went from black male to asian transsexual, some really poor choices in plastic surgeons.
  6. Is TFT good or bad again. I still haven't ordered mine, I keep putting off researching which is the better purchase. They are relatively cheap, but that could just be that they are relatively easy to mass produce.
  7. Good to see the vanguard of political correctness are out there fighting the good fight, warms my heart it does. Also I think 'racial stereotype' would be a fitting end to Jar Jar Binks, if it means we never, ever, see him again.
  8. Well me neither, although I can think of a handful of pretty horrible Tom Cruise movies off the top of my head, but everybody makes a stinker once in a while, unavoidable that. I wish I had some of that Tom Cruise/Jhon travolta lunatic energy. It gets things done like nobody's business. Minus worshiping the ravings of a dead Sci Fi writer.
  9. Valkyrie wasn't all that bad, I dunno what the Germans were fussing about. Probably more about Cruise being a lunatic cultist than the movie itself.
  10. Yeah, it was way too obvious, the ending I dunno, I would have preferred more choices.
  11. But now she is going bankrupt, and for something that 99 % of the internet using world has done at one point or another, that same 99% having the luxury of not ending up a test case with an bottomless amount of legal resources arrayed against them.
  12. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_F._Hamilton I read The neutron alchemist and one other I can't remember the name of right now. Check your library, although with 1000+ page books you might want to get the paperback anyway if you like his style.
  13. The PTA are really bad at the PR game. A bunch of reporters call them up asking for a funny quote about about the president swatting a fly, and they play right into their own negative stereotype. Don't they have real battles to fight.
  14. The Samsung I had kept crashing, also the touch pad operation was horrible, many many times worse than actual buttons. I liked the folder navigation though.
  15. Ahh... 'bad' drugs, and 'good drugs'. Such nonsense, given that chance, cultural preference and prejudice rather than any objective criteria determine what gets the official stamp of approval and what doesn't. You might as well have said you intended to shoot the first bartender or supermarket cashier you met.
  16. I never actually tried LSD, but they sold shrooms where I bought hash in ye olde days when I was interested in that sortof thing. I spent what must have been a half hour staring into a wall which appeared to be melting. I would never touch anything that I could overdose on, I guess that practically makes me a virgin, at least among my more adventurous friends.
  17. It's easy to exaggerate the effects of various hallucinogenics. The survival instinct is so deep in our source code it doesn't just disappear from one moment to the next. Hendrix was suffering from mild psychosis though, brought on by excessive cocaine and speed use. He had assaulted a number of female fans for no apparent reason.
  18. Italian authorities have not yet determined whether they are real or fake
  19. One thing that annoyed me about Creative is the lack of folder navigation. Rather than just sticking your music folders on the player, you had to neatly arrange everything according to album and artist meta data. Can't complain about the sound though. With mp3 players the sound quality depends to a large extend on the capacity of the power supply, the 'mini' players should be avoided for this reason.
  20. My Creative player just died on me, or rather I accidentally stepped on it. Next one I'm going to get is a Hacha, Chinese made, open source. Ogg. and Flac. compatible, able to play common video formats, not that I care about that, well priced too, and a power supply capable of sustaining propper headphones, not those horrid ear plugs.
  21. 10/10 on my oral exam. I rock.
  22. Written exams are the pits. They still force us to write, you know manually with a pen - no spellchecker. I mean, Jesus, who does that anymore. I have to revise what I write several times before it makes even an ounce of sense.
  23. Now that's what I want to have power my laptop. Whats the use of a netbook with a 4hr battery life.
  24. Edit : Nevermind.
