I guess now we wait for 4k displays to become affordable.

I've been looking into sync center and it seems to me it should be possible to use it for updating and managing shared backup folder over multiple local drives for no other reason than multiple backup redundancy. Basically whenever something gets written to a specific folder on the C drive it does the same thing in your identical folder on your other local drives, like a raid configuration for people who don't bother with that. Windows also has a backup function, but that seems to be related only to system functionality.

The levels actually look better in the xbox version in the gameplay. Too crappy rez in the video to tell the textures appart.

And just now I realise that the guy from the clip is not actually Garret, but the game's narrator. Still, nerdrage !!!

I heard that the orginal Garret was dismissed as voice actor because he couldn't come in to do motion capture, or he sounded too fat or sormething. If that is really true that's just colosally stupid. New guy is not cutting it at all compared. The voice of Garret is the single most recognisable bit of continuity in the series.

Isometric also seems to last a lot better than 3d which looks dated relatively quickly. No one would contemplate playing the EI games again if they had been made with then-generation 3d.

Would be an awesome game if it had proper PVP and bout 10-12 levels rather than 50 or is it 60. Starting to sound like a broken record here.

I just watched Ezio or whoever hotwire a galleon and high tail it out of port GTA style. It didn't exactly fill me with confidence. Looks like everything is still too easy with win button, in this case counter or disarm, mechanics. Don't know if it still has automatic fail when being discovered. The setting looks really cool. Think of all the awesome games they could have made with that kind of budget. Instead we get a severely worn out formula. I don't expect or demand developers to cater to my demographic, I understand the reality of the market, but it still annoys me to see so much effort wasted.

Being a major arms dealer is not usually compatible with many other forgein policy interests. You just have to weigh out how much you want the money vs possible negative consequences to international relations. Common conundrum.

I'm kinda interested in that STEAM controller. It doesn't look terrible. I have the one fot Xbox, I think I've used it once didn't like the feel of it. The pointing operation look ok, expecially if there a handy modifier switch which allows for minute adjustments. I hope all the buttons are programmable.

It's cheap compared to the others I've considered. I don't know that the distance from a bronze+ to a platinum+ rating warrants a doubling in price. If I'm reading that chart right It hits 32 Decibels in cooling mode (maximum) which is comparable to other gold and platinum rating PSUs I've been looking at. Although it appears the pages for the silver and bronze model is missing ?.

What are the 6 pin connectors that go into my Radeon HD 7950 called. I have been looking into Corsair alternatives and it only lists 8 pin PCI connectors and no 6 pin connectors of any kind. Surely that can't be true. Doesn't even say if it comes with converters or how many. In the review link the from your last the Tesla is the only one who get's bad functionality marks under 'negatives', specifically 'Declining 3.3 V-rope under load'. The others get more acceptable complaints like 'too expensive' or 'too noisy under load.' I guess I should look into what else is available.

I can't find much in the way of reviews from benchmark sites that I usually trust, but I might go with it on the strength that it is gold+ and they probably have some in Sweden, where Fractal is based (across the bridge)

So the power supply is a no go, the only local webshop which had it listed have given up finding one for me within a reasonable time. Fractal design make gold+ standard PSUs and the price is pretty competitive, I am contemplating swapping the board for one that is EC compliant, but I only have 650w and 800w to chose from. If I am going for energy preservation in my build SLI nolonger makes sense anyway, but it would still be nice to have the option. Is the 800w option going to suck more power than it needs to because I will be using it possibly below it's ideal operating range. It does seem like there's one every month. Doing on the 'strength' of the previous few installments I think I'll pass. I have little faith that Ubisoft will be able to produce anything I like. But different strokes for different folks and all. I really want to play The Last of Us, but I have little use for a console.
