  1. Just bought $237 worth of games on GOG.
  2. I've seen it in both and I can guarantee it is. Sure, 3D adds a bit (and is cool), but it's not what is making this movie so awesome, IMHO. Yep, I've noticed this too. Seen it three times now and it manages the flow so damn well that you're never going "I'm bored, get a move on, uhg another hour left".
  3. Spiders are hard. They never seem to kill me (can they at all?) but I always drop to between 1 and 10 health and they take so many power strikes to kill.
  4. The trick is to hit and run with power attack. Failing that, creep up on some enemies and use the charm spell so they spot your minion before they spot you. Then pick them off with power attacks when they focus him.
  5. Ever read 1984 or Animal Farm? What's the moral of those books. 1984 is one of the most powerful and instructive books around and it's message isn't "communism is evil" it's "totalitarianism is evil". The fact that you confuse the two so easily is indicative of your inability to distinguish the two. Ingsoc is as close to socialism or communism as Nazism was. I.e.: they both include the word 'socialism' in the name and that's about where the similarities to socialism end (cue Wrath of Dagon trying to 'explain' to us how Nazism and Fascism are left-wing).
  6. Yeah, the game can be too easy, especially if you abuse the heal spell. You should use hard or very hard difficulty, I use hard. For very hard you need to be Conan the Barbarian on speed or something. I have decided to stick with being a Thief with the defencive magic tree on normal for now. We'll see what happens.
  7. Indeed. On a silver platter no less... Thread pruned a bit. Now, if the freeloaders and parasites of the net could kindly wait and at least pretend they are decent people. Like waiting until the official release date? Wow, yeah, because whether or not somebody downloads works without paying for them is an accurate indicator of their decency as a human being. Fair enough that such discussion isn't allowed on here, but perhaps tone down the vilification.
  8. IMHO, this game style is far more suited to free open world exploration than linear plot and advancement. Imagine Oblivion with the HL2 engine + Dark MEssiah's skill and combat framework. Now THAT I would play... ... Although it'd also help if they gave Oblivion some sort of story and plot in the process.
  9. Same. They've been pathetic for many years now. I was hoping one day their reputation would catch up with them but it seems that pandering to the publishers has been working well for them.
  10. *sigh* I just slew like 15 orcs in open combat with my daggers and without a shield and my health didn't drop below 50%. And before that, it was the same but with the black guards trying to storm the ship. There's little incentive to use stealth. Edit: Don't get me wrong - it was fun, but... maybe I should have chosen hard. Hmm.
  11. Individuals do, corporations are not individuals. Make things equal and tax them like individuals perhaps? And why won't you let corporations run for office? Discrimination! The constitution makes no distinctions between companies and individuals on this matter. Oh, go on!
  12. Maybe because we're not in the North Atlantic. Liar. You clearly failed geography class. Or you would have if students were allowed to fail anymore. I suspect you got something like 51% (i.e. 2%).
  13. I wish you'd stop saying **** like that because given the evidence it makes no sense. Perhaps you should start by defining what you mean by 'isolationism'? You want the Moon on a stick, don't you? I'll ring your neck!
  14. Individuals do, corporations are not individuals. Make things equal and tax them like individuals perhaps? And why won't you let corporations run for office? Discrimination! P.S.: I was deeply disgusted by this move when I first read about it, and still am.
  15. System Shock 2 is the most voted for game on the GOG 'want list' by users, so SS2 would make sense.
  16. We could argue about where we live and whether we can or cannot see it all day... ... or I could just give you the link: http://store.steampowered.com/app/2100/
  17. So why isn't Australia in NATO? It always seemed silly to me to name a defence alliance after a geographical area.
  18. You know, that sounds even more pathetic than your usual drivel.
  19. K guys sorry to spam but this deserves it: OMG you can dropkick stuff! Pick something up with E and then kick with F and it kicks the object forward low in a straight line. More accurate than a normal toss I think.
  20. Hey guys, is it worth playing the game on Hard as a Mage? I heard it's just plain painful and annoying as a fighter but considering ideally a mage wants to avoid close quarters and getting hurt at all, maybe Hard is good fun for a mage?
  21. The thing is, it's more likely you just suck. Edit: But I still love you.
  22. I bought this off Steam for cheap and am playing it now. I find myself liking (loving?) this game for one of the same reasons I loved Deus Ex 1 (and even NOLF1): the combat is darn fun. There's so many ways to do any one fight. I especially love kicking enemies into fires or shooting them in the head with a fireball when two of them are on a ladder coming up to kill me. Shooting the top guy knocks him onto his mate so they both plummet to their doom.
  23. Not really.
  24. It's still on. Go see it.
