  1. Whilst that comment originated from a drunken haze, yes, there was quite a bit of resentment (now largely subsided) in Australia when the UK ditched the Commonwealth for the EU, but exporters picked up the slack by targetting with South-East Asia, which has turned out to be an economic stroke of genius. I've always wondered: suppose Australia were still part of Britain today, as French Guiana is to France. The timezone difference (12 hours) would be interesting!
  2. "God dammit Deraldin! Stop shooting me in the back! I've taken more damage from you than I have from the zombies!" "Hey you jerk! Stop hogging all the pills!" "Oh no, don't mind me, I'm just being torn to shreds by a frakking Hunter over here! No rush or anything!" Guys, let's play L4D. I'll play Derladin.
  3. You can install the game on as many computers as you want, and if you buy the PC version you can also install and play it on your Mac (if you have one) for no extra cost. Steam doesn't have 'activations' as such. You can't use your Steam account on multiple computers at the same time, though.
  4. I think I slept with a shaved wookie last night
  5. Oh goodie, I can give up on the game already.
  6. Do you have issues or what? There's zero hard infos out there yet, so why are you blasting it already? Oh I dunno, could it possbly have anything to do with Deus Ex 2 and the piece of arse that was or am I just crazy?
  7. Quite true. Instead you pay 30 quid on 6 DIFFERENT high-end AAA games that are on discount on Steam, and save yourself the hassle worrying about any Ubisoft games until they are actually worth giving a **** about (i.e. when they have realistic DRM scheme).
  8. Why? I mean given your experience with Dues Ex 2, don't you find yourself wishing it was a bit of a Planescape: Torment? Excellent title, self-contained, doesn't need a sequel or 3 to rape it up the bumhole. Literally.
  9. A dissertation is roughly equal to hang man. In my humbe opini mon..
  10. Oh. Means I support Walsinghams' Philosophy Doctor.ate.erate.
  11. a) a **** b) love beer. too much Kilkenny. St Patricks day. Love beer. c) I love grass. Excellent to smoke. d) let us all abort the stuff our ladies don't want oh
  12. a) Tories are ****ed up. b) Labour is even more ****ed up. Hahahaha Australia doesn't have this problem but you **** ditched us for the EU so ****en sod off bitches! :D
  13. In a multiparty system, sure. But my conception of Britainia's legal/democratic/political system is that it is ****ed up like America (i.e two party preferred is all that ever matters) Alcohol.
  14. This is twisted logic. If party A royally screws you over continually, you don't keep supporting party A. Simple. You instead support the unknown, party B, in the hopes that it might be better, and mainly so that party A gets a ****ing punch in the face from reality and lifts their game so that you CAN vote them in again in future when party B inevitably becomes a load of bollocks.
  15. How about you don't post in a forum about a game you're not interested in..... How about YOU being BANNED. FOR LIFE.
  16. I can certainly see where you're coming from, I'm just not sure you're correct. I'm not sure I'm correct for that matter. We're really just grasping at straws without and firm numbers or comments from those in the know.
  17. Portal 2 HL2 Ep3/HL3 Diablo 3 Fallout: New Vegas Alpha Protocol
  18. 1 million sales is huge. I really think you're overestimating how many sales are needed. Consider that it would be about $50 million dollars in sales (obviously minus costs but...)
  19. Just more British than usual. That's not been my experience. Most vegetarians I know (which admittedly is only half a dozen or so) prefer not to even mention it, because it's annoying having to justify ourselves every time someone realises we don't eat meat, and then ensues the typical jokes and whatnot. On that note, I normally wouldn't participate in a thread like this since it typically just invites scorn, but I guess I felt some kind of compulsion to explain things from the other side of the fence.
  20. While I understand your ethical reasons for being a veg, what I don't understand are your reasons for painting red meat as inherently unhealthy. Any diet based solely on one kind of food can't be very healthy... but that doesn't mean that food is bad by itself. I mean, if you are so convinced of the advantages of your lifestyle, why misrepresent the alternatives? Red meat is reasonably bad for you in the sense that nutritionally the alternatives are superior (and I'm conceding that includes some other forms of meat here), while having far fewer (if any) of the downsides. The optimal healthy amount is roughly a maximum of a fist-sized amount once every two days. Given that the majority of red meat eaters consume far more than this quantity (i.e. unhealthy amounts), I think it's reasonable to portray red-meat diets as unhealthy. So I guess in summary, no, I am not misrepresenting anything. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...9032301626.html http://www.csiro.au/resources/The-facts-on...g-red-meat.html
  21. Also note that FO:NV has sold 18,701 pre-order copies.
  22. Isn't that the number of copies Icewind Dale 2 sold in the first year? Anyway, it's a few million dollars.
