POST YOUR SPECS
What made you go for the Gigabyte MB? I'm thinking of ditching Asus as their driver/bios support is kind of weak.

Politics 20/20
Invasion of Poland was pretty much a land grab by the Soviet Union in preparation for the war they knew was coming. They wanted to have as much of a buffer zone as they could against the Germans.

Almost makes me want to be a trucker, it looks strangely comfortable.

I'm interested enough to see where the story is going. Besides I already watched half of it.

Seems there was one more episode... It improved my opinion of the story somewhat, less convoluted I guess.

Baldur's Gate 3 - the 2nd thread
All this talk has reminded me to give Pathfinder Kingmaker another go. I would think they patched all the issues by now.

Wow, that sucks... Like the whole point of these games is in doing different build...

I haven't realized, until I watched the gameplay for BG3, how much I miss the chanting of spells from the IE games. And I really liked that you could interrupt the casting of mages, I wonder if BG3 has some spells cast that last multiple turns, or for that matter if you can fail a spell cast? Other than that I really don't like how the camera clips the terrain, I don't understand why they can't just cut it in the middle (vertically). Then again Imagine it's because it's not a real top down game... Still think it could have been done for certain camera positions.

Much better now. The bigger size will take some getting used to, but I wouldn't say it's bad that it's bigger now.

Politics 20/20
We were talking about border towns with paramilitary assailants, that is something that is absolutely under the military purview. Police is not trained, or responsible enough to handle military grade weapons. An argument could be made to give them access to military grade body west, but not for weapons. That such a scenario is common enough, where civilians are committing crimes with heavy weaponry, is something that should be handled at the root of the issue. Not fighting fire with fire.

They should then call for military help, just like civilians call for police help. There should be a hierarchy.

It was both I think, just not on the level of other Forsaken who fell/failed after him. Also I think it was Moridins decision to do that, as I recall he made most of the decision for what happens to Forsaken who fell/failed. I don't think that Jordan spent much time thinking about having LGBT++ characters in his book.

The Athenaeum - Reading updates and Literary Review from the Obsidian Elite (this means you)
Finished The Dresden File Battle Ground. The book is on par with Changes as far as action and consequence are concerned, but it definitely should have come out as part of Peace Talks.

His comparisons are asinine, as they work against his point.

It was clear pretty early on it to production that it wasn't going to be 1:1, the biggest question that remains to be answered is how much of the content they are going to cut.

Raised by Wolves, 8 out of meh. I skipped though most of the scenes after episode 5 to see where the story was going and color me not impressed.
