  1. I thought all skills will be non combat skills and abillites, spells and talents are the mentioned combat skills. Edit: In update #7 an example for a combat skill is a spell:

  3. There will be no skill classes in Project Eternity. All classes will get the same amount of skill points. Each class will get a bonus to some skills but all classes will get the same number of bonus points to skills. They mentioned that you probably can only max one skill.
  4. You will still need to fullfill the prerequisites of the recipe. see bolded part below. they only removed the skill especially for crafting, you will still need other skills for some recipes.
  5. All attacks in Project Eternity have the same hit Mechanic. Spells, Melee Attacks, Ranged Attacks and Effects all have the four grade hit mechanic. Ranged attacks compare against deflection. If the deflection of the target is higher than your accuracy the windows for each result will shift. This is a good idea. Maybe they could increase the deflection for this attack if you increase the range to the target.

Characters probably won't have multiple skills maxed, but can have two skills high. A character could have both Stealth and Mechanics high. I'm a bit surprised, that you probably can only max one skill.
  7. No it doesn't accomplish the same goal. your System wouldn't help you during exploration, the system from obsidian would help you during exploration.
  8. I think it's a bad idea. Group skills are a bad idea either more than one person needs to take the skill or you don't need to max the skill. Also you can just make your backup characters take the crafting skill and give your main party skills that they need during exploration.
  9. I think monks will be able to do a lot of status effects. see quotes below: I don't think it's a good idea if all melee classes can deal status effects. If all classes have the same abillities why do we have classes?
  10. I like the new map more than the old one. I think the icons look better than the dots in the old one. No the dark house is a big city (defiance bay is a big city and has a dark house). They mentioned that the ruins of eir glanfath will also be a main location of Project Eternity. airana's tear is close to the ruins of Eir glanfath, so it's the big city that is the closest to the main location of Project Eternity (after Defiance bay) .
  11. Thanks I did'nt know that. And they can sprint and ignore the hit effect of breaking a melee engagement but they take the full damage. They also have a different formula for converting Stamina to health damage.
  12. Why should the barbarian has the highest stamina/health totals? In my opinion the fighter is the class with the highest endurance and the barbarian is a class with high damage but also high risk to die. The stamina regen sould be equal on all levels, so either it should be a percentage of your max stamina or rise if you advance in level.
  13. 12+ companions is unrealistic. If you have so many companion they will just arcanum level companions. They won't react to any quest or dialouge options. For this type of companion is the adventure hall. I don't like it if some companions are well developed and others are not. I think It's wasted time and money to make this companions.
  14. Like I said we have three concept arts from classes outside of the core four(sagani, Forton and the orlan cipher detective). I wanted to know if they said that we will have a monk companion. We don't know if all of the characters they introduced will be recruitable: At least some of them will probably be recruitable companions, but we haven't finalized the list yet.
  15. Where did they say that there will be a monk companion? If you go by concept arts we have a fighter, priest, mage, monk, ranger and (cipher). I think they should only make one or less companions for each class. If you want to have a class and you don't like the companion you should just go to the adventure hall.
  16. Because writing companions costs a lof of money and time. They said that they will add a companion if they have enough time for it. There will be three characters left. the main character is included in the partysize (MC + 5 companions).

P:E was title story in this magazine last month, the pictures are one month old. information: in the end you will be level 8-9 with side quest you can get to level 12(level cap). cipher: they can move objects per telekenisis you must target an enemy or a friendly target as anchor for your skills. An example they mentioned is that you can make a electronical field between you and your target and if one moves the field will move with it. Your skill effects will affect the area near your anchor.

  21. I think I wouldn't like this system. I had to be careful what skills I use. in a normal system, If one enemy has low hp and I don't want to waste a spell to kill it, I will attack it with my weapon. In your system my mage would do nothing, because I would like to play a "pure" mage. Or even worse, an easy encounter and your priest didn't need to cast stamina healing spells, he only attacked with his weapons. In your system he would gain 100% combat gain to his weapon.

  25. I don't like it, if I have to backtrack a long way in a dungeon, but I like it if there are more than one way to go to the "end" of the dungeon. Josh Sawyer said that they want to avoid long dead ends. see quote below:
