Should corpses stay?
I think corpses should stay, at least until you have left the area.

Please bring back the pencil drawings of items
This would be a great addition to the game! Even if it's just for those rare "named" items.

Armour & weapon designs - a plea (part IV).
I haven't gone through all 18 pages of this thread, but I do like the more realistic direction being taken (or at least implied by the majority of the posters here). Growing up in New York City, I was lucky enough to enjoy the Metropolitan Museum of Art's fantastic arms and armor exhibit regularly. One particular coat of armor stood out as being truly princely looking. Such armor could make for a fantastic, high-end set (it is my understanding that this armor was used in jousting tournaments): Armor of George Clifford, Third Earl of Cumberland, ca. 1580–85 Made in the Royal Workshops English (Greenwich) Steel, etched, blued, and gilded H. 69 1/2 in. (176.5 cm), Wt. 60 lb. (27.2 kg) Munsey Fund, 1932 (32.130.6) Collection Areas: Arms and Armor

Volunteer voice actors?
This. A thousand times this. Agreed with this, many times over.

Breakdown of VIP badges
You are likely right on the -money- with this one. Unfortunately, I was a child of the nineties and have only just recently begun raking in the pocket money. But, I do have fond memories of Baldur's Gate (simpler times!). Although I was unable to back at the gold level, I am very pleased to see that so many people have done so. As Garrick says, "Life is glorious."

Josh Sawyer interview: on combat, companions and character building
As for the comments about the cave being too shiny - I can certainly appreciate that concern. My hope is that the glow and brightness in that area is due to the crystals. Maybe they have some sort of magical glow to them, brightening the cave? It looks like they've got the dark/gloom side of things handled capably, based on the night time image of the town. This leads me to believe that the cave is intentionally bright.

How much information should be revealed before release?
Mechanics, features, and well-known lore and history, sure. But, I would prefer that they kept anything intrinsically plot related quiet. Spoiling story elements in an RPG really can sap out some of the fun.

Obsidian: Where is the announcement for spiritual successor of Arcanum?
Thanks for this post! I had no idea a new Divinity game was in development. That is great news. I really enjoyed the original games. Shroud of Avatar looks interesting too, as I missed the Ultima boat entirely.

What should a female breastplate really look like
Simple, effective, makes sense... I like it. There could be a system where, depending on what armor they're wearing, you could choose to, say, add custom-designed (think the emblem designing in Halo and the like; You can choose a symbol, background, and various colors) insignia to their armor, have them wear custom-colored tabards (possibly with aforementioned insignia on them), paint their armor... The question is, should this be a free process you can do on the fly, or will you need to go to specialty armor decoration shops to add stuff like this? The first is more convenient, but the second is more immersive and realistic. I think this is a very good idea. But, as I recall, the IE games didn't focus much on the character avatars in game -- the paper doll was more detailed and the portrait even more so. I liked having some ability to customize my characters (the two color options) and would like this to be expanded a bit. But, overall, this wouldn't be a sticking point for me.

What will the real name be?
Project Eternity is catchy. I say they stick with that.

P:E Controls and UI
My main gripe with the IWD2 UI is that the character portraits appear so small. In the IE games, the portraits really gave life to some of the characters and the art was fantastic. I didn't like how small they were in IWD2. The UI you referenced on the BG:EE forum is fantastic. Daylight (the poster there) put together some great concepts actually.

The Obsidian Order of Eternity wants YOU! part 6
I backed PE at a fairly high tier -- $8 for the Order on top. Are you still giving out the custom titles for backers?

I want a dog.
Zitchiock replied to JosephMalenkov's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I like the idea of having an animal companion, even if its not one that has much backstory or ability in combat. In Syrim, I really enjoyed having a stray dog tag along with me. It was fun and seemed pretty realistic. If the animal is going to be effective in combat, it should probably be a bit tougher than a dog -- a wolf, maybe, or a mephit. Something reasonably intelligent, too.
