Shot my 22 at 100 meters / 110 yds. Its not as accurate as a center fire rifle but thats what I expected, I'm still happy with the 25-27mm groups. (The white sticker is 25mm / 1 inch in diameter) I can do no better with that heavy trigger and temperatures way below freezing. Got some vertical POI shifts due to the low temperatures and I still need to go two more clicks to the left. I agree. The way I see it is that technology adding so much possibilities is both solution and a problem. With so many possibilities just a few mouse clicks away its easy to fix problems but its also easy to become an obsessive perfectionist spending even more time on editing than in the old days. I must set time limits per photo or I'll go crazy.

People bunching up in the freaking open with no cover at all, return fire in close groups standing without any kind of cover. Those ''soldiers'' only survived for so long because their enemies are just as completely untrained * inapt. (* Even untrained persons have common sense) Lovely.

I'd have given them two dedicated marksmen with SVD's and two MG's. The MG's just harass the enemy and makes them stay put while drawing all the fire and attention. Meanwhile the marksmen flank the enemies positions undetected and find a good concealed position. Then they pick them out one by one while the MG fire masks their shots and presence. Make the marksmen change cover every few shots and the mg switch cover (alternating)every few bursts. This sounds very armchair general but its actually a pretty simple tactic which found a lot of use in pretty much all major wars. It always proved very effective against massed infantry. (Don't know about that particular situation though, I only saw destroyed backyards and bored soldiers popping a few every now and then without any kind of accuracy or determination.) Next time they should break out those 25 shot fireworks batterys instead, those are pretty and in their hands just as effective.

I can never sleep longer than 7 hours, even after the hardest workout possible. Adding just two extra hours nukes my circulatory system- I get headaches and my blood pressure drops. I think if I slept (if I could make myself stay asleep) more than ten hours I'd die. What I'm doing: I'm editing and touching up some pics to send them to the models. Thats the part I don't like about photography, I could spend days on editing a single picture and I'd not be perfectly content with the result.

If I got one tiny cent for every unaimed bullet and RPG in this video I'd be a rich man with his own harem and private island.-

I love archery but I wish I had more time for practice. I have a 70lbs Samick composite hunting longbow which is made from rosewood and fiberglass.

Was at the shooting range, it was a f-ing horror trip. I was late so I barely ate a breakfast. At the range I found out I that I forgot my rifles magazine at the cleaning table so I had to fumble each round into the chamber manually, with super cold fingers. It was cold, minus 10 Celsius, but what made it feel MUCH colder was sitting still on a cold stool for three hours with wind blowing. My butt felt like a block of solid ice and my fingers and toes were alternating between feeling completely numb and burning like fire. Then my nose started running. I was also shivering which affected my accuracy a bit and I was super hungry. It was like a mini-Stalingrad today. But if you think that I was the only one mad enough to go shooting under these weather conditions you're dead wrong, all my friends were there too freezing their nuts off. Someone even brought a small thermo barrel full of hot tea. A bonfire would have been better though. BUT - a bad day at the range is still a fun day.

Its law here in Austria too. Driving with normal tires in winter is illegal and certain suicide.

Thats just a picture of a piece of paper, I can make a similar one thats saying that the Ukraine is selling nuclear bombs in under 15 minutes.

Covenant always reminds me of DM, both are great bands.

I like that particular color combination because it kind of reminds me of the colors of the sub-artic tundra before winter. Reddish and light brown/yellow shrubs, gray earth / weathered branches. One of my favorite landscapes. But I can totally understand anyone who finds it too busy, most people prefer two-color combinations - As do I most of the time.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Some of my friends think its the most gorgeous color combination there is while others get raging eye cancer from it. There are so many color combinations you can choose from. Thats a different stock but it shows most of the variations available ...

Just ordered a gun stock from overseas for 160 USD with shipping. Its a thumb hole stock for my CZ which is a laminate they call ''Royal Jacaranda''. Its a lovely color combination. Now I'll only have to wait....2 weeks. Examples: I have nothing against a solid straight comb walnut stock, but the ergonomics of a thumb hole stock are so much better and the laminate is more weather resistant. And as a bonus it looks better too.

Me too. See the three peaks on the left? Its the Dachstein, the three peaks are called Torstein, Mitterspitz and Hoher Dachstein. Been there countless times climbing. I see it every day and every time I wish I could be there right now, climbing. So close yet so far away; but summer will come eventually. But Sweden has wonderful locations too. I love those birch forests, especially in autumn.

Today I was on the verge of getting sick, probably the flu which is totally raging among my friends and relatives. For about two hours I felt really cold, got a headache, felt sick, my joints ached, I started to shiver and felt so tired I had troubles lifting my arms - simply all of the classic unmistakable signs. And then, BAM, all the symptoms gone and I'm instantly back to normal, just vanished in 2 minutes. I didn't even skip my bench presses and lat pullovers. Hm.

Me at the ''set''. And fooling around

Years ago I had a lengthy throat surgery, I feel for anyone who gets stuff shoved down their throat without being under full narcosis. Good luck Labadal.

Thanks, some of the models were awesome and incredibly naturally talented. The location (which wasn't my decision nor pick) was described as old spinning company from the 19th century. Sounds really cool. However, when I arrived there I found myself in a run-down (the bad kind of run-down) warehouse that was half restored with new materials. It just didn't work at all. Some other photographers just used their white screens as background and rolled with it, I wanted an -at least- somewhat better and more organic looking background though which I found outside. (I'm not even sure if that building was still part of the actual location, lol) On top of that it was really cold inside, the models were more relaxed at my much warmer, sunny set which resulted in better photos. Inside the warehouse everything was rushed because of the temperature. But there is always a downside, outside of perfect studio conditions you always have to fight with shadows interfering, especially at this time of year with the low sun. You can make shadows look cool to a certain point, but after that it gets really hard with the angles and everything, especially with dark objectives. A tad overlit maybe, I tried my best to use a neutral lighting setting, it was that bright because the sun was low angle and the snow reflected a lot (plus some models were ridiculously pale-skinned). I can, however, work better with slightly overlit photos than underlit ones, of course. With lighting curve programs I can do pretty much anything I want with the lighting anyway.

So I had a photo shooting with models. Unfortunately the location was absolutely terrible which made me erupt in anger like a volcano. Which meant I had to improvise (and to stop thinking about beating the guy responsible for the location into a bloody pulp), find a new location outside the building fast with proper lightning and at least acceptable background. I couldn't find a good spot since the winter sun cast bad shadows but the one I found had to suffice. So even though I'm far from happy with the results because of this sabotage, I still made around 800 photos. I had to tell the models how to move, look, stance, eyes, pretty much everything. I had never done this before but found it easy and it was refreshing. The models were fun and really professional, easy to work with, with only a few exceptions. I think there were 20 models total. Some shots to get an idea: (raw, unedited ) Still angry about the location, I could think of ten better ones just off the top of my head. Old 18th century paper mills, an old 19th century hydroelectric power station with all the original machinery still in there. *sigh* But it still was way more fun than my current office job. Maybe I should become a professional photographer one day.

If it were only women I wouldn't whine, unfortunately I'm talking about MODELS.

I can't, I'm making photos for a store which prevents sharing.

Photo session with Steampunk models at a really cool location, finally I can put my new camera through tis paces. I'd rather be in the mountains making panorama shots though, I hate taking photos of moving, babbling and arrogant subjects.
