RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - BATTLE ROYALE
majestic replied to Blarghagh's topic in Computer and Console
I think I might have been wrong when I thought SonicMage117 is a troll. It's a semi-advanced advertisment AI co-created by Ubisoft and Valve. Not to mention GoG gives away a lot of free games just because. Even without sales. -
That's whacky and paranoid, even for you. Unless you keep a cellar full of children and feed on them. In which case, uhm, somebody call the mounties?
-
Time to nitpick a bit. There were no groups in '38... Nice try though.
-
Looks like you might get to vote a bit earlier than you assumed. Unless the issues with your government are a bit overstated?
-
England's trouncing Panama at the moment.
-
Nah, it gets better in time. Once all your pilots have Vanguard all you do is stand still and wait for the enemy. Then stand still and shoot them dead.

Go Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeden! Go!

Man, I checked three online newspapers, two TV channels and another live stream to see if mine was lagging behind. edit: Well now it's really 2-0

Yeah, no idae why they changed the Matrix to a real time stealth mini game. It's a stain on an otherwise good game in an interesting setting.

Happy! Could have done with one or two less episodes but overall very enjoyable, if you're into weird shows.

I've seen almost 600 episodes of Lassie, you can't fool me.

The combat's easier if you're caught. In most cases you can simply kill every security program on easy without repercussions.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - VISUAL NOVELS ALLOWED
majestic replied to Blarghagh's topic in Computer and Console
It's on Steam. People on this forum don't like Steam equals troll stating how great Steam (and by extension, Valve) is at every turn. -
Well we can still watch the Holiday Special for an extra load of Wookie...
-
What's up with the Premiere League goalkeepers? Something in the water in England?
-
Continued watching Westworld.

DD was an odd title for me. I got it, loved it for about 60 hours and then started hating it with a passion. I easily got my money's worth out of it, even if I never completed the story missions. The grind just got too irritating and eventually overwhelmingly and unnecessarily complicated. At some point you'll be running multiple specialized grinding parties to farm equipment and experience while you real team(s) are up for some rest & recreation.

Which games have aged well in your opinion?
majestic replied to Katphood's topic in Computer and Console
With the first Mega Man you might be right, that was still a little rough around the edges but Mega Man 2? That was one of the best games ever back then, and it still is. I bought the Mega Man Legacy Collection a while ago which has Mega Man 1-6. I'll give 2 another go someday. Maybe I'll like it this time around but as far as memory serves, I remember a lot of trial and error in thosr games which simply requires you to memorize the level layout and the enemy movements. Mega Man 2 has some fake difficulty, mostly noticable with the beams in Quick Man's stage, but by far and large you can get by with skill alone. -

This sucks and we can't even blame Trump. We can blame ourselves, more or less. I mean, the EU population as a whole, not you and me in particular. Unless you voted for some EPP associated party in Finland. In which case: You suck. -
Well KSA already announced they'll be punishing some players when they get home so that's got to be some extra motivation.

Backed for the lowest tier that gives the game. I figure I'd buy it anyway when it comes out, so that's a decent discount, and if things go wrong, well, eh... water under the bridge and all that jazz.

That's absolutely not true. An emotional gaming narrative/experience existed at least as far back as the early 90ies. You know, the very first time a PC game crushed me emotionally happened back in '91: "No, not this time. Tengoku de omachishi te imasu!" You can't be serious. Although there's one thing I'll give you: It's far easier today for someone to create and publish a game than it was 25 years ago, so games like That Dragon, Cancer or Hyper Light Drifter have an easier time being made today. That's good - I honestly mean that. But these games existing doesn't mean that storytelling has become better overall. Or improved upon it's 90ies incarnation. The narrative devices are still the same. In terms of pure tech narrative presentation has been stuck for a while now. And actually - I don't think it is going anywhere. Perhaps with VR, but that remains to be seen. There was a VR fad in the 80ies already and it fizzled out. The new tech looks better but hasn't solved the actual problems.
