  1. Continue? A game where you play the life of a failed video game character as it wanders the detritus in the system's RAM, trying to come to peace with its inevitable deletion.
  2. Somebody needs to let them know that they're going to get lawyered on by The Unwritten if they use just "Unwritten" as the main game title. Unwritten: That Which Happened had to change their name to Unwritten Passage: That Which Happened.
  3. Pandora: First Contact now available If you don't know/remember, it's TBS heavily inspired by Alpha Centauri.
  4. Nope, sends me to the countdown in IE and Firefox. Weird...
  5. I got the Pledge Confirmation e-mail, if that's what you mean.
  6. Try this link You might have hit the wrong one.
  7. Final 38 Studios auction set for December 11 - includes unreleased Mac game Rise of Nations: Tactics
  8. Good way to keep the sales manageable: Pop that up whenever volume's too high.
  9. Obduction broke 1 million Their daily totals have been climbing for the last week and it looks like they hooked a few major backers today. $100,000 in three and a half days looks possible if they can keep the momentum, but I'm not holding my breath for the Oculus stretch goal.
  10. New trailer for The Forest Open world survivor-horror with some ability to build defensive structures
  11. Microsoft engineer confirms you can hook your PS4 to your X1 to your TV
  12. *gives the dedicated Torment thread a significant look* --- Microsoft Studios, to prove their renewed dedication to PC gaming... are now selling a fan-made mod for a 14 year old game Still, hopefully they'll get around to some of the other games they're hiding from digital distributors, like Age of Mythology.
  13. Activision claims one billion dollars in day one sales of CoD as jab at GTA V - Forbes calls BS To summarize: GTA V brought in $800 million from retail purchases while CoD simply shipped $1 billion in units to retailers. PCGamer gives a first look at JRPG-inspired Child of Light
  14. Do you remember Grim Dawn, the Kickstarted aRPG from the lead gameplay designer of Titan Quest that nearly doubled its target near the start of summer 2012? It has snuck its way into Steam Early Access. I wouldn't have even noticed it thanks to the dozen or so "You Don't Know Jack" iterations clogging up the recent releases window, but spotted it in their flier. Current content is the first Act, covering approximately 1/3 of the game and estimated to provide 8-16 hours of gameplay without repeat play and/or farming.
  15. Bloom: Memories A fantasy aRPG focusing on a conflict between nature and technology - may also heavily focus on the relationship with the character's mother This is actually their second go at Kickstarter. Their first go ended short with only 70% of funding. The first go they had more concept than game but the new campaign's trailer shows nothing but game, which notably looks much cleaner than before. Taking a look at both may give you a better picture of what's going on here.
  16. After much hemming and hawing, Bungie finally gives a "no" on Destiny for PC Apparently they can easily do four different console versions, but a PC version would destroy them. How shocking after they couldn't even be bothered to port the complete Halo trilogy to Windows, just stopping at 2.
  17. Considering it's at nearly 70% of its target and still bringing in 10-20k a day during the slow period, it's not too bad. They really need to get some more media attention to give the campaign a new kick and get a strong surge at the end. Paradise Lost: First Contact A 2D stealth/horror game where you play an alien plant that has escaped from the researchers studying you and are now trying to grow and spread beyond the facility The video doesn't seem to have been properly uploaded on KS. Here's the trailer on YouTube.
  18. Wadjet Eye Games offered treats to the gamers and got tricked And this is why the internet can't have nice things.
  19. Bioware = Hitler. He played the Hitler card. With this, all of Hurl's arguments are invalid. And all of Bester's. And any other post in the last three pages, even ones without an argument in them. --- Clockwork Empires video snippet released
  20. The Girl and The Robot The ICO is strong with this one
  21. Sneaky, slipping it into the update like that. Nicely bridges the working name with a legitimate name game. Sim Cell looks like biology edutainment done right I always kinda liked edutainment games, and this looks like they managed a good balance.
  22. You Are Not The Hero This one slipped past me before - platformer RPG where you live the life of an NPC trying to get by in a hostile world and retrieve the pendant stolen when a bunch of hoodlums masquerading as "heroes" looted your house So long as it doesn't go over the top with the mockery of standard RPG tropes, the game concept looks good
  23. Elegy for a Dead World wants to bring out your inner poet Interesting, and I can see how you could continue it in the future by adding new worlds to explore. Hopefully the number of NSFW journals uploaded won't destroy the souls of the designers.
