  1. Very interesting. So, if the average level at the end of the game is 16, then we will receive 48 point, 5 for character creation, for a total of 53. If you distrubuted them evenly over all 6 primary attributes that comes to 8.83 per attribute. Any news on what the ceiling is per attribute, if any? Could a mage dump all the points into the "Magic" attribute and pump it to 63 if they so desired?
  2. Hmm, so if its not gear (or tome) centric, then how? Maybe allow +1 to a characters primary stat every level? Could attribute it to "training"?
  3. That I do. I remember the elation I felt when I found the Machine of Lum the Mad in BG2 which allowed me to raise one stat by one point per character. Oner does have a good point, this isnt DnD and we dont know how +3 relates to this game world.
  4. It will be interesting to see what happens when we have socialized medicine for the entire country. Mass outlawing of everything unhealthy, which we should gladly accept as the "employer" has final say.
  5. Hehe, lets not get crazy. Im sure those represent middle-of-the-road weapons and are nowhere near what you will end the game with. The best long term item in that list is the +3 to all stats as that will never be replaced by something better down the road.
  6. Hey man, Im a WoW player. If the goodies dont come with double digit bonuses and actually enlarge my wang, Im not satisfied.
  7. ^Wow, those sound like decent additions.
  8. Because the "employer" is also the "government".
  9. I think you misunderstood MC. He means players will release the extra items to the internet for download almost immediately, much like the "bonus merchants" from BG2.
  10. Today I learned, via wow heroes, that Im the 347th best geared mage on my server. LOL, I suck. On the bright side, Im the 8th best geared in my guild out of all classes.
  11. Is Obama taller then average or is everyone else short?

  13. HUZZAH! Its the pipe and monocle, chicks find a debonair fellow like you irresitable.
  14. Careful with the brutal method, it does nothing for thr registry. Meaning, you may go in Explorer and just delete the entire folder but that doesnt necessarily mean it will reinstall as the registry will still think its there.
  15. Hmmm, its just a shot in the dark but maybe you could re-install BG2 over top of the existing install and then try to uninstall again?
  16. :highfive:
  17. This thread just reminded me that last Friday was my three month anniversary on quitting smoking. Carry on.
  18. Wow, un-F-ing-believable.
  19. Lol, thats not too far from the truth, at least in the first few months till you get the hang of it.
  20. Yeah, I probably did but just dont remember. Its been a long time since I fired up BG1. Stupid Saervok at the end. *shakes fist*
  21. Is that a mod? I dont remember weapon degrdation / breakage in any of the BG's.
  22. That looks awesome. Right in the lower right of the trailer it clearly states "in game footage".
  23. @Hurlshot: Awesome pics, keep em coming. I didnt even know we had 13th century castles in the US, I shall have to research Hovenweep Castle. @Wals: A funny thing happens when you have your own kids, you become immune to their annoyances as it just becomes part of everyday life. That and kids are awesome little mini-you's that you get to watch learn and grow. I highly recommend it.
  24. I agree, let the player play how they want to, it just seems like a strange departure from their intentions. I dont understand what immediately revealing the results of a choice brings to a game focused on "choices and consequences". Granted, Im a munchkin first and a role player second but if Im presented with a choice and one choice gets me a great reward while the other choice gets me a spear to the taint, Im reloading.
