So 456 Euro out the door. Still not too shabby. That leaves me 114 / week for food and booze. Totally doable in my cabin. Maybe even enough left over for a fishing pole and a bear pet.

Finland taxes people on their UBI?

Jeez, 7200 Euro a year just for existing! I would be tempted to open a post office box to receive my loot, build a cabin in the woods, and just chill for the rest of my life. Im pretty sure 600 Euro per month would keep me fed and probably drunk too.

Interesting that Finnish people still get unemployment insurance payout even when working part time. Its not like that here. As soon as you get any job of any pay of any amount of hours, your unemployment insurance payout stops. I assume this a call back to your earlier statement about UBI already existing in other forms. So, what is the annual UBI amount that Finn's receive? Do you get a check from the government even if you work full time (40+h / week)?

The Weird, Random or Interesting Things That Fit Nowhere Else Thread
It seems so silly to me to try to steal national treasures. Theres no way in hell to fence it, you cant even display it in your home else someone will squeal. So whats the point of gigantic risk without any possibility of reward? Maybe for the thrill?

The second such program to crash and burn this year. If Finland cant pull it off, nobody can.

What are you playing right now?
Steam tells me I got 14h into XCOM before I hit the same wall some of you are describing. Apparently, I just cant into multi-tasking, so I become overwhelmed. That probably also explains my sheer suck at 4x games. Just too much going on for me.

How is it to live in your country?
Yeah, "regime change" almost never works in mondern day. Imo, true "regime change" takes a level of "purging" that we no longer have the stomach for. We try some soft reboot and just wind up with another mook.

I guess "arms" doesnt cover 100% of all weapons made by mankind. Im also not allowed to own: fully automatic weapons, anti-tank/personnel weaponry, WMD, etc...

How is it to live in your country?
To destroy militarily or to destroy and "occupy"? If the former, I don't think they would last any longer than Iraq did. If the latter, I agree. "Occupying" a country is just a meatgrinder and a waste of lives.

Yeah. Stilletto's too.

At least the authors were smart / lucky enough to call them "arms", so that way we don't have to rewrite it every time technology advances.
