Fables is awesome in every way, Sandman is more like Watchmen - a comicbook for people who dont enjoy or know anything about comics. Brain K Vaughn did do the Mystique 24-issue solo run, which is very good but kind of rough and uneven in quality. It doesnt help that he left the paper at around issue 20, leaving some poor intern at marvel to wrap it up.. badly. edit. Baley lives!!

I watched three episodes today and I have to say that these people are thouroughly retarded. Its absolutely mind-boggling how a group of immature, whiny, useless a-holes like that can get people to give them the millions of dollars they need to go do whatever it is they do. Greenpeace wont even reply to their radio calls, thats how popular they are. I liked the part when the "captain" went ape and started critizing everyone loyalty when some people didnt like his "lets cause an international incident by having two guys jump in the water and be rescued by the japanese, and then we call it that theyre taken hostage" scheme. Obviously he couldnt jump himself, he was way too important and like a 1000x times more vegan and save-the-whales than everyone else on the boat combined. ..I hate activists.

Im too lazy to discuss the main argument, so Ill cling on to this one. Uh, yes, your countries are "secular," but secularism is different from "free of the religious taint on their state institutions." Example: xenophobia of muslim immigrants. QED. Muslim immigrants are not disliked because they are non-christians, they are disliked because they are too different from the native population. Sure, a lot of the cultural differances are religious in origin, but the main factors are the ethnic and cultural differances. A christian arab in sweden is going to get just as much crap as a muslim one.

Every strip is really intelligent and he makes jokes about technical stuff that only smart and special people like me can understand. XKCD actually has about 3 funny strips, the rest (although technicly funny) are completely negated by how retarded/obnoxious his fans are.

I couldnt actually be bothered to play the final release of BC, but I heard it took stupidity to a new level. Pretty, though. With both Avalanche and GRIN doing massive layoffs/closing the job market is oversaturated. And foreign companies dont hire foreigners without years of industry experience, so it looks grim. Im thinking about becoming a magician/illusionist instead, I hear there is money to be made in that particular banana stand.

Some guys from my Uni that works there have confirmed that they're closing down, and no one knows why yet. Swede paper IDG reports that ex-employees have said that it was because they lost contracts they had counted on getting. So whats the lesson here? I thought Ubisoft had confirmed BGE2 long ago? I mean, why would they promote a game theyre not making? And AC was dreadfully repetitive and there were inappropriate console-ish elements like having to collect flags, that didnt fit the otherwise serious tone.

Although some xkcd strips are quite funny, its usually too soaked with "Im so clever and well-read that its ridicilous" smugness for it to be enjoyable. And it has some really annoying fans that make it even worse.
