NWN: Hordes of the Underdark

Buy them from WHERE exactly? The "out of thin air" armour parts Boutique? And how come its free to magicly transform it into a robe? Anyhow, it makes no sense to charge a player gold for a purely cosmetic alteration. If you could change the armours properties, then shure, itd make a little more sense even if it would still be "I pay myself". This is stupid people, admit it. Thought: Im guessing that the armour parts are taken from some kind of global resource file, wouldnt parts from the CEP show up when you do this? Or are original skins, models etc. stored separately? -

Why does it cost money to modify your armour?! Thats completely insane. You can convert your armour into a mage robe for nothing but if you want to change one stinking shoulderpad its like 6000 gold.. But the most idiotic thing is; I mean, logicly, where does the money go? -
No I had Scorponok, not FM. I was pretty spoiled to get Scopronok but to get FM you had to be one of those disgusting kids with rich parents. Like that kid that your friends cousin knew who had a real AT-AT(!) But rarity, I remember that the toystores alwayshad plenty of the obscure and pointless characters in all the toylines, you could never get the really cool ones that mattered like Megatron, Shockwave, Cobra Commander, Storm Troopers(they were really, really rare) or the Emperor. The only toys that delivered in that area was He-Man, there you could get all the cool ones, I had He-Man, Skeletor, Hordak and the Viperclan boss. I wanted Teela or Evil-Lynn but it was gay to have chicks so I never dared to ask mom for one

Ya I know ...then again in 3 movies they could create the dinobots So if no Scorponok then no Fortress Maximus either <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Never really understood what the hell Maximus was supposed to be in transformed mode. Was he a giant battletank or some kind of rolling artillery piece? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well...he was suposed to be a city A Bio <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He was the largest toy too, HUGE. I had scorponok but fort max was atleast a hand taller.

Its Lucy from the childrens book "The Wolves in the Walls" by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean. Its absolutely breathtaking, every single page is a 50000$ work of fine art. McKean is a true painter on par with Picasso, Van Gogh, Magritte all of em, absolutely bloody brilliant. The story is very nice to, makes you all happy and fuzzy warm inside. http://www.gaimanmckeanbooks.co.uk/wolves.htm I advise everyone to buy it immediatly, kids or no. ANYTHING by Gaiman+McKean is brilliant but this is my favorite. -

I figured out how to use it but I dont have a clue as to what will fit together. I made a steel chest plate but I cant find what I need to make it into a proper armour, I tried iron spikes and bands but that didnt work. I dont have a paper manual and the *.pdf only covers basic NWN stuff. But its very nice to be able to redesign your armour and make it into a dress, looks much better than the regular female armours. -

Character Creation- By the book or DIY?
Kaftan Barlast replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Pen-and-Paper Gaming
The only flaw in Freestyle character creation is that it requires maturity and a certain kind of player. We had this weird guy a friend of mine dragged into the group and he was a complete munchkin. We had to "Look, this is not how we play. GTFO, please." But other than that it works as a charm. In the last campaign of Vampire we played, we didnt even do the character sheets ourselves, we just sent our concepts to the GM and he did it for us, we didnt even have to touch a character sheet while playing. It was great because it opened the gates of roleplaying and "realism" wide open. It was no longer "I use my subterfuge skill to..etc" but we had to play it all out. It takes a good GM to do it but when it works, its beautiful. Short note about d20 To claim that the D&D variety d20 is the best is a ludicrous statement. It simply isnt true, there are atleast a dozen others that beat it in every aspect. End of story. -
(someone probably said this 3 pages ago but I cand be bothered to check) Vin Diesel is a huge D&D nerd and has written the foreword to a new adventure collection book. The soldiers of the 17th Waffen-SS PanzerGrenadier Division "G

Why Did Obsidian/Lucas Arts...
Kaftan Barlast replied to Plano Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Same reason why there is residue from KoTOR 1 left in there; its difficult to find and clean up. And since it doesnt really matter if you leave it, then why bother at all? -
When I first started playing PnP RGPs we always followed the systems in the books to make characters, rolling dice and spending points so and so. It was necessary to do it that way really, because otherwise you'd have your smelly little brother making some 3meter undefeatable cyborg with a laser cannon on his shoulder. But as we got more mature we started to notice that these creation systems was in the way because you could never get a character precisely as you imagined him, you always had to compromise and deduct this to increase that and so on. Swedish RPGs had much less of that horribly strict class-system of American D&D and such, but it was still a lot of stupid "Rangers CANT play the lute, no matter WHAT" things going on. (we did play some foreign games too like vampire, warhammer rpg, and others) So we scrapped the rules. First we made a careful character concept, then we estimated what attributes and skills and so on would be appropriate for that character and since then, we've never looked back. How do you guys do it? By the book or Freestyle?
