STALKER had a certain charm that was brilliant when it worked, it's sort of a b-league game though so its not fair to compare it with FNV. I mean, neither one of the three stalker games are playable without mods.

COD4 and MW2 are the only really good ones, although CoD1 was interesting when it came because of the way they stole scenes from war movies and let you play them

Compared to Alien Versus Predator 3, the graphics look like they're missing a lot of detail. I see flat, non-reflective surfaces where there should be loads of greebling and shiny metal. Though its hard to tell from still frames.

There are like a gazillion lame fantasy games out there, there is no reason to go add more to that pile. It's like saying "Gee, Id really love me a generic WW2 shooter right now, there so few of those and I feel that the genre has so much more to give"

For me, my sense of esthetics is making the game very difficult at times because 1) I refuse to wear ugly armor 2) I dont use guns that look weird like the massively oversized hunting shotgun

Isnt the game quite hard if you play on the hardest difficulty with hardcore enabled?

I dont know how close Alpha Protocol came to bancrupting Obsidian, but I think its pretty safe to say they will never go there again.

Bethesda are probably happy-slash-angry right now. They've made a ton of cash, but their inhouse dev team has been thoroughly 'pouwnedh' by the Obsidian guys. But this might be a sweet deal, keep those awful people working on crap like The Oblivion Scrolls or whatever those game are called

I have it from reliable sources that the next Fallout will take place in Tijuana, where you play as a young individual emerging from the impoverished Vault Cinqo and your goal will be to make it across the border to NCR where you will find a job washing brahmins. The token evil mob of badguys will be a bunch of crazed and bloodthirsty luchadors.

I was wondering where and how you can get that armor that the guy on the covers wears? Ive never seen it in the game and Im pretty advanced in the plot

Well. The problem is, Baby. He speaks his lines. Like he reads. Them. And stops. Like I'm stopping. With what. I Type. But the real bad thing is that he says everything like he's reading it from a paper without regard to the situation. If you tell him you're going to kill him he just calmly says "cash me out here" like he was asking someone to go fetch him a coffee.

It was too sentimental and sappy for me, I like that UK zombie show better where they're in the big brother house :D

I finally got around to visiting Benny, that guy from friends really did not make much of an effort there. Sounds like he just went into the soundbooth, read the lines from a paper and left to collect his paycheck. "Doing voiceovers for a videogame?! Geez, who do you think I am? David Schwimmer?!?!"

Theyre supposed to "warp" to your position if you leave them behind, but that doesnt work all the time. Just yesterday I turned around to find Boone wasnt there anymore, I used the console to teleport to his position and found that he was below the map in Freeside, so I spawned him to me instead and that worked.

I lose my NPCs all the time, if it wasnt for the console I wouldnt have completed any of their quests because theyd be stuck in rocks or just plain missing.

Today I finally managed to find me a hunting shotgun, only to discover that someone got the scale wrong when importing it into the game. It's ridicilously huge compared to its real-life size and those of other rifles in the game. It looks so silly I cant bear to use it. If I knew how, Id make a special version of the 1887 lever shotgun with the same stats, but i cant be bothered with GECK

Speaking of ammo, why is 40-70 so damn hard to come by? And I cant make it either because you cant find casings for it.

ED-E took care of my excess money problems by despawning with 90% of my accumulated gear in his inventory. Being a troll has also left me rather impopular with most everyone in the wasteland so I buy at 200% and sell at 10%, which means Im dirt poor, I cant even afford to repair my guns and armor

It was a bug, but it was fixed with the patches. Does anyone know a caravan player whop is filthy rich by any chance? I used to be able to play for hundreds of caps, but now its just pocket money
