  1. Just keep forgetting. Always get sidetracked by the RPG section.
  2. According to George Wookie cant be Jedi which is why Hanhaar wasnt one I expect since he screamed Sith Maurader. Not sure about the others. An Ewok Jedi would be hiilarious like a teddy bear with a lightsaber.
  3. I keep meaning to get it.
  4. Dunno , thats why I mostly rent that kind of stuff. RPGs are about the best value for money although strategy games are up there too.
  5. Both sides are having a big protest together in Iraq.
  6. Sounds about typical for that sort of game.
  7. Sounds like it could be worth a look. I'm playing Suikoden Tactics, which I'd recomend to any PS2 owner who feels gyped at not being able to play Fire Emblem. But I'm not really in a strategy sort of mood at the moment.
  8. Which version would that be ?
  9. There has to be a worthwhile reason to replay. I know some people like doing the virtual life thing, but I always think well I'd be better off spending that time doing real life . On the other hand a story based game is like reading a good book for me, although interactive.
  10. Yep apparently you will be the controller in the same sort of system that the Revolution uses to sense motion and movement in 3d. Somehow I dont see it being a home device. The technology is all there so it's feasable but dosnt appear particularly practical.
  11. Miyamoto was working on one. Although it would be more like being inside a room of TV screens (walls, floor and ceiling) than an actual holodeck.
  12. That would depend on our definition of deep story. Anything that gives the character an identity or a purpose beyond that created by the player would break my rule for example. Sure if you give someone a pregen to run through a maze you can write a great story around that character. But thats not what I call freedom. Even if you take something like FFX (you can name the character) you have full freedom to create the character any way you wish statistically. The only thing you cant do is determine the appearence. You can also go where ever you please as long as you have the appropriate transport. Even if that sometimes means running into something that can kill you outright, you still have the freedom to do it. But thats far removed from my idea of freedom which stems back to PnP roots.
  13. A lot of things could be done with unlimited time and money. It's whether or not it could be done realistically and it's really out of reach of all but the biggest outfits. I dare say Sqenix could do it if they had the inclination but they already have a formula that works (though not afraid to make changes looking at FXII). I'd say you would have to be in a posistion where you are able to publish yourself because I cant think of any publishers who would be that understanding offhand.
  14. Using Keanu Reeves would be like making KOTOR with Jerry Anderson puppets.
  15. Just what I was going to ask.
  16. Huh ? Yes but if you have something on demonstration as launch title you want it to look good dont you ? I'd guess why thats why they have been at it for an extra three months (if this current date is accurate) because of the feedback from those pre launch demo's. We are talking at most two weeks prior to the planned release. You posted the specs I didnt even know what the PC specs were remember. It's pretty obvious that a 360/PC cross over is going to need higher specs than an Xbox/PC crossover though isnt it. I based my opinion on what I saw, your the one who decided it was some sort of anti PC thing.
  17. It was released same time as the PC version over here. Only the US got it in December. {KOTORII} Well I'd assume it was the 360 version. No way to tell for sure since it was all locked away in a cabinet. Where did I say the PC version would be extremely screwed ? What I said was what I saw was unstable and not smooth. Hence I was not in the least bit suprised when it got canceled as a launch title.
  18. Not since the 10th Feb 2004.
  19. I thought that only cropped up after you found it ?
  20. Can't say I do.. :"> Have you changed your name ?
  21. Such is life.
  22. By the time you got your patch I was already playing something else. Not a big deal. Yeah Oblivion was on show just prior to the 360 launch , though wasnt particularly stable or smooth. It was supposed to be a launch title if you recall ?
  23. That sort of thing tends to polorise people even more. It makes some more moderate and some more fanatical. I'm sure the idea of blowing up mosques of what ever sect is pretty sickening to a lot of muslims. All in all though I'd rather be in Ireland than Iraq.
  24. Well we do, but we also live in a world of laws. Because the baddies are protected under the same laws killing them isnt an easy option. Thats probably the largest difference. In a "fantasy" game not only are the bad guys not protected in that way, but they are actively hunted. There are a few games which are the exception. What seperates Sci-Fi and fantasy is that Sci-Fi is grounded in principles of science where as fantasy is made up. Star Wars is a good example of this. Things just tend to work and if they dont you get out your hydrospanner. But there is no real explanation behind why they work. Although typically when you say fantasy most people will think of Swords and Sorcery.
  25. "I worked for Bioware and all I got was this lousy T-Shirt"
