  1. Thats because now FPS's are two a penny on consoles these. Rare kind of reminds me of a really great footballer who gets transfered to another club and then never plays the same way again. As I recall in Kameo you play a sort of pixie thing that can morph into other creatures to solve various puzzles, kill stuff, that sort of thing. Pretty standard action/adventure fare.
  2. I know, thats what among others refered too. It was a long time ago now though. As I recall I got a demo of Kameo with Sudeki and wasnt hugely impressed. Rare have made some fantastic games, but the recent ones have either been remakes, or just not very good.
  3. That is true, although you can set the mic sensitivity Nintendogs isnt the easiest thing to play when there is background noise. Although the mic/headphone attachment will mitigate this somewhat.
  4. Pretty much on the money. The PS3 offers something new in the fact your getting a free new gen media player as well as a console (plus whatever the cell kickstarts). The revolution has the same possibilities as the famicom when it comes to innovation. The 360 is not much more than a PC upgade and the games reflect it thus far. It has to be one of the most unexiting lanch line ups to date. I'd be mildly interested in Kameo, but Rares latest offerings have been less than steller, and Kameo was supposed to be an Xbox title (among others) before making the switch. Don't know about anyone else, but If I'm supposed to pay another
  5. I don't think they gave anyone enough time there is a definate feeling of rushing to be first.Oblivion is supposed to be out the week after the 360 (in the US at least). PC version is dated 25th of november in the UK wouldnt say that was set in stone though.
  6. As long as they do the characters right playing in the Original Trilogy would be a blast. I still remember flying with Darth in Tie Fighter and that was years ago. None of the new trilogy characters have the same gravitas (unless they were already in the OT).
  7. Never played it, I'm pretty much over MMPORGs now (hopefully).
  8. Usually a good idea. Never know it might suprise you (in a good way).
  9. There is probably some sort of timer in there.Bigger weapons swing slower than small weapons, thats basic stuff after all. Morrowind combat was awful so I dont blame them for trying something new, although it could turn out to be just as awful at the end of the day at least they recognised the weakness of Morrowind combat (actually that pretty much goes all the way back to Arena so it took them a while).
  10. First impressions of games like Oblivion are pretty worthless. Even I can enjoy them for a couple of days before the cracks begin to appear in just how repetative the whole exercise is. You can probably get a pretty good handle on an FPS or racing game in an hour. But your not going to see much of an RPG in that time.
  11. Wow what happend to their user base ? Or was WoW close
  12. It's not like thats a suprise it's not exactly something they just sprung , it was intended from the outset to intergrate the stats into the action. Granted Bethesda is a bit of a one trick pony games wise, so perhaps your fears about FO3 have more weight than if it were another company. I'd wait till they release the updated version with the bug fixes and the extra content anyway. I looked over the titles list for the current consoles and I don't see much point in being an early adopter.
  13. Logically it goes next to the TV. But its not required. I'm still trying to work out how you would play and not have a direct line to the TV. Perhaps a corner mirror.
  14. Thats a pretty clever, or sneaky ,depending on your pov. way of keeping people logging on and paying.
  15. Technically every time we mention a game, we are advertising. When I linked the gameplay site for people from the UK (because they have a really good coming soon calender , that was advertising. Care to be a bit more specific mr moderator ?
  16. You dont, although that would be the most common and intuitive approach. How do you see the TV if your not pointed at the screen ? Sounds weird
  17. Deadpool is pretty good. Yuki likes him cause he's a ninja End battle was fun in the end I had to switch back to Wolverine.
  18. It's just some extra weirdness around a pyopop fever type game.
  19. Thats how it was spelled in the article. It definately exists anyway so no harm done.
  20. Wouldnt bet on that :"> I know the evolution cartoon pretty well , and the original cartoon , otherwise I dont know much about Xmen. We just found Iron Man so I have a new character which is around 20 levels behind the girls and they are starting to call me a potion hog I've been looking forward to getting him since I saw the armour. If we start a new game after this will he carry over as a playable character from the start or do you have to get him all over again ?
  21. Long time ago :D More stuff on the controller. It can be used like a laser pointer. It can detect movement in 3d, even goes as far as sensing if you slightly rotate your wrist. Should be able to wave it around like a sword, use it as a golf club etc.
  22. You do know there was a his and hers game for the PS2 dont you ? Never made it outside of Japan of course. Basically it came with a device which plugged into port 2. Depending on how skilfully you played (it was a shooter) the device would give of rythmic pulses the better you play ,the more the device responds and no I'm not kidding.
  23. It's got built in rumble so given it's shape I'd say it's pretty inevitable...
  24. It's called Ouenndan and it's a cheer um up (I kid you not). You control a squad of male cheerleaders, the premise being that with your squads help you can inspire people to great feats. One scene involves a robot invasion being repelled by the police. But rather than call the army, they call you ! Your goal being to cheer the cops to victory. This works by tapping the DS screen in the rythm of the tune currently being played. Do well your squad inspires the target to greatness, do poorly and your target is overcome by the situation they are facing.
  25. Ain't that the truth Still it does stop people crossdressing.
