  1. Canine is the dog family. Like ours is Homonid or something similiar. Really not sure where the race thing comes in. It's been a while since I had to study anthropology. By race I assume you mean the three ? I believe none of those are enough to make a classification of speices or subspeices. Which is why we are all stuck being sapiens.
  2. Is that the lords prayer is Swahili ?
  3. Actually they have spieces. We are all homo sapien by definition. Culturalism though yep. Humans are not the only sentient speices either.
  4. Because it was tied up with the original nazi movement too.
  5. Most people have moved onto culturalism, except the buzzwords havnt caught up yet.
  6. It wouldnt happen to be this under a different name would it ? http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/produc...ductcode=PP0013
  7. Halo II was well worth a rental. Why people can make a Halo movie and not an MGS movie is a mystery. It's not like you have to make anything up to make an MGS movie. Heck, remove the gameplay elements and there is your movie
  8. The mysteries of pokemon Emerald - Release date 21st oct 2005
  9. Reading the forum put me off a bit. I think I'll dig out SMAC and see if I still have a taste for this sort of thing. I do like the idea of having to run less cities though having to manage 30+ cities bored me silly so I would leave it to the AI most of the time.
  10. Thats because Atari package it with everything. I got a copy of NwN with TOEE for the grand sum of
  11. Not a bad idea. Mines currently gathering dust. I quite like Everybody's Golf if that helps any.
  12. Most people who bought the game never played a mod. Most of the games money is made in the first couple of weeks, then the price drops. Good mods take time so you cant capitalise on them in that initial sales period (unless you stick the toolset out as a seperate utility). The core of the Multiplayer market are MMPORG players. The other big thing about long term games is want to make sure you pulling in some revenue off them. Because you dont want people playing free mods when your trying to sell your second game. Shouldnt be a problem for Obsidian since the "other game" is on a different platform.
  13. I think she was sort of hispanic in Evolution. I'd never heard of her before playing Legends though so I thought they just made her up for the game :">
  14. We just finished the first one again and overall I think I prefer it to the new one. Granted that the hanging around is a pain but overall it just feels less like fantasy and the story hangs together better, like you are part of something bigger, rather than just running through level after level beating things up.
  15. Yeah apparently we were not respectful enough to them
  16. So far, the biggest problem over at the CivFanatics Forums is with (stop me if you've heard this before) drivers for ATI cards. As for myself, I got it to run okay on my desktop (with recommended specs in everything except my ancient 64MB GeForce 3) with a just little skipping in the intro video. (Thankfully, the in-game movies work fine.) After about 4 hours of playing, I'm impressed. The only real negative so far is that the Civilopedia has taken a major step back from Civ3. It's not searchable, and everything (techs, buildings, wonders, etc.) is indexed by the in-game symbol rather than the name. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Look forward to reading them. Much appreciated, actually not as bad as I though one extra memory stick and a DVD rom drive.
  17. No it just proves that I'll pass on any info I come across. the PC i'm currently using wont even run NWN let alone NWN II
  18. Quite likely. When I was playing Warhammer I used to make my own trees and base them on 1p coins. Someone told me it was treason to super glue a tree to the queens face and I never did find out whether or not they were joking. So no political motive on my part, 1p pieces just happened to fit the requirements.
  19. The demonstration game Enoch linked too makes for a good read. I'm even thinking about getting it, but I'd have to either buy or build another PC and I really dont want to. If someone has the specs could they post them please ?Gameplay dosnt seem to include them these days.

  21. The only game I've put those sorts of hours into is Pokemon and thats really more a hobby than a game when you get into the breeding and training. And just to stay on topic. Yes the screenies do like nice especially the indoor one, it has a very homey feel to it. And no I'm still not overly interested in the game in case anyone is wondering.
  22. http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=61432 More controller related stuff. Akihiro Hino, producer of Rogue Galaxy and Dragon Quest VIII, said the arrival of the Revolution will herald the arrival of entirely new types of game. He said he was up for developing an RPG where you hold shield and sword peripherals and even wear a headset, but that this was probably impossible. Hino's a bit worried that using our hands so much to wave around the Revolution controller might be knackering, though. He said he hopes designers will take note of this, and create games that don't tire people out even after they've been playing for a while.
  23. It's usually the other way around in Europe , nudity not a big deal.
