  1. It is definitely confusing. Still not as bad as trying to buy comics on Comixology with Paypal now that Amazon bought the former and is a competitor with the latter, even though Marvel still has a PayPal button on their digital comics purchase page. Confusing for newbs like me. I think it's better to buy prints in-person from a physical store anyway ...
  2. Haha, it's only for PS4. No PC version, no Xbox version.
  3. Wow, air-cooled 5 GHz. Delayed four months ... ouch. The gentleman builder in this thread may be inclined to gnaw at their faces.
  4. Monaco! Awe yeah, mechanical issues for the Red Bull! Though of course, doesn't take the sting out of Ferrari having lost the plot this year. 66 laps to go, anything can happen ... and it _usually_ does.
  5. Man, nowhere is safe. Corporal punishment for thieving, I say. Saw the UCSB insanity all over the news here ... christ wtf. Ten different crime scenes in one place. Glad you escaped at least. Still no confirmation if it was the Sheriffs or himself that capped that nutbag.
  6. That first place was worth going to just to see how buff Emily Blunt is. I hope she kicks Tom Cruise's ass all over the space-time continuum.
  7. This seems too good to be true, especially because it may not require an investment beyond upgrading firmware. New way to write data triples SSD transfer speeds up above 1.5GB/s using 60% less power. http://www.neowin.net/news/ssd-breakthrough-means-300-speed-boost-60-less-power-usage-even-on-old-drives
  8. Speaking of keyboards, this one might be the worst thing I've ever seen ... it makes the most ridiculous noises ... I don't want this at all.
  9. at and pj clear victors. I was gonna give at double points for a mic-drop exit, but he came back. Definitely the most well-spelled back-and-forth this year, at least.
  10. It'll be available for Linux, Mac, SteamOS, PC, PS4, XB1, according to a Polygon article and publisher Deep Silver.
  11. Epic reach. Like I mean, circumference of the earth long, added with a dash of conspiracy salt and plagiarism pepper.
  12. I hope they avoid locking a conversation to combat. You know the ones, the unavoidable pre-battle dialogue that forces lesser players like me to keep skipping because I keep dying. I understand the mechanic, and its necessity at times, but it devalues the encounter to re-live it by skipping through it *ahem* a dozen or more times.
  13. Yeah, no, the camera is no longer an issue in MoB. Getting paralyzed by red-robed twit-faces is the problem. It's just my paladin and a friendly Thay wizard against two bum-rushing, planar-binding evil Reds and their two succubii minions, plus whatever else. I got a lot closer this last time, all pre-buffed and everything, but Freedom of Movement as a spell doesn't last long. I found a scroll of Power Word: Petrify, but the wiz-hats are either protected or invalid targets. It's cool, I'll figure it out by the end of the weekend. Unless I decide to go read more comic books. Since I do that now. Me, and the cool kids.
  14. Oh my god, I just got wiped all over the floor and out the door by two Red Wizards of Thay, their summons, and two succubus-looking badass winged females who successfully knockdown every time my paladin. Like I mean six times in a row they pummeled me. It's the first battle in this theatre, in this town right after leaving the barrow prologue to Mask of the Betrayer. Admittedly I didn't really go in prepared, and I see it's pointless to let Safiya cast her own spells--I'm gonna have to micro-manage every turn, which is cool. I hate how long Paralysis and Stun last.
  15. I see the 10k Raptor 1TB is $30 off this weekend, to $169. I want it, but I want solid-state more, for the money. What a great deal that Seagate was, I never thought Tiger Direct did stuff like that.
  16. Holy low-priced solid-state speed balls!
  17. The first rule of Update 79 is, we don't talk about Update 79.
  18. In any event, the writing cracks me up.
  19. I've used sponges to create dramatic effects with wall paint and concrete stain. Never to clean up spilled damage before, though. Not even sure what that would look like. Oily, or sticky, probably not sandy or dry. There is a scene in The Transporter when he beats the pants off a bunch of baddies after coating the floor in motor oil--maybe it was actually a barrel-full of damage.
  20. French-fried sideburns and spectacular particulate explosions. I'm ready. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDo0F9y16wU
  21. Went to Comics-N-Stuff for the 2014 run of She-Hulk, since I'm a savage and sensational Jen fan, now, thanks to this impressive two-part costume-history write-up. Also, the 2014 Black Widow, because female assassins. My first two collections, pretty exciting.
  22. Dungeons and Dragons / Happy Hour / Unicorn Tattoo ... Washington I want to be in you.
  23. Up to, and including, LSD? People need their responsibly-applied inter-dimensional gateway drugs. Today is no work and all Mask of the Betrayer. Haven't played since '07 I think, and never finished! Really excited after playing the prologue, the graphics are exceptional and I feel like it's a good hold-over until Eternity.
  24. It appears to be uncompressed audio files. Of the 48 GB size of Titanfall, 35 are "completely uncompressed audio."
  25. Cool. Just subscribed to She-Hulk. Mostly to spite that rat bastard, but also because she's green, and smart, and kicks ass. Interesting style in this volume, looks like. Also, can EA or Warner Bros. please alter the release date of their respective titles, Inquisition and Shadows of Mordor, both on October 7. I need some breathing room between one or the other, thanks.
