Well, the quote function is your friend, so that original response is forever memorialized. But honestly, if 30 seconds is enough time for someone post something, receive an angry response, go in and revise their post only to claim never to have posted what the angry response is addressing... AND this sort of thing is happening with enough regularity for it to actually be a problem, well, that's what I call plain bizarre.

Even a 30 - 60 second grace period would be nice to see. I can't imagine that would give people a lot of time to post something, look at a reply, and then modify their post in the way you suggest. I've seen plenty of websites offer at least a shorter window. Can't say I've ever seen a forum that wasn't able to offer any window for this. But hey, if there's a valid reason I'll certainly cope with it as is.

See guys, isn't better when we have some communication (commented mainly directed to the folks who have been giving me a hard time about asking for an update)? It allows a lot of people to better plan their schedules.

Yes, indeed it is. As is regular and timely communication. No reason to laud one virtue while ignoring another, equally relevant one.

Being that I've worked in IT/Customer Service roles for around 20 years, I'm very sensitive to the level of customer communication I strive to provide in my job. I can get a little testy when I see other companies fall short of my high, but very realistic bar. And once again, I maintain that a single sentence update is not a lot to ask for. Well, maybe. But I do distinctly recall during the Kickstarter a lot of touting from OE that the crowd funding model would free them up to communicate freely with the backers, who are effectively the publishers of the game. Call me crazy, but I don't think this a quick, single sentence forum post is too much to ask for.

Even if you're right, don't mean diddly without a Steam key.
