  1. A new screenshot for KOTOR2 has appeared on http://www.lucasarts.com/. Nether seen it before. Take a look. (only one new shot mind, but i thought i would let u all know). Anyway, i find the single saber most flexible, with the best chance for big hits and defence.
  2. Bastila, that vision of beauty. She is a Goddess. Atris is very good aswell, as is Mira, but Bastila is my fav all da way. http://knights.theforce.ru/winopen.shtml?/...oad/SWKotOR.JPG So This is what my character head that i always pick looks like darkside. I only played darkside once, but i didnt make him evil enough to make him look like dat. Now i know, damn he looks evil.
  3. Yes it is. Either u hav a high persuade skill, or talk to her enough in the second chapter, and she eventually gives u a ring of hers. Use this later in the game in chapter 4, and u can redeem her.
  4. Single saber for me. I just like it since it was the first style i saw, and the style i hav grown up with. Plus with the dueling feats, the single can become just as effectice as two or doublebladed sabers.
  5. Rigourisly seconded, thired, fourthed and fifthed. I hav nowt more 2 say.
  6. Kumquatq3, thx for that, but i would also like to hear from the devs. (pls read first post devs, and answer remaining 2 questions pls it has been edited)
  7. Question1, will at least some music from the original be used. Question2, is there any hint about Revan and Bastila being in the game as characters themselves, and not just discovering there fate without actually meeting them.
  8. I will tell u by monday for certain, maybe sunday. Bastila as the main character would be nice, but as Revan, with your own name input (at least until the leviathan), your own customization, to me, he seems to be an extension of me into the starwars universe. To put it simply, i feel like i am Revan, and i like it. Customzing Bastila would be nice aswell, but would it ruly hav the same effect if u customized Bastila to be a tough, rugged male, rather than the gorgeous vision of beauty she already is. (edit) this is a nce discussion we are having aint it
  9. But if the desperation of the situation was toned down, i beleive that the story would not be as affective. I am guessing u will disagree Nur. I got the starwars dvd trilogy around 1 hour ago, and the basis behind that story is the desperate fight of the rebellion against the empire(preordered it before u ask). Think about it. If u had 2 superpowers, facing off against one another, who r just about exactly equal in ships, troops and resources, it would not make an as effective story. In desperate fights like the small rebellion against the empire, the fights put u on the edge of ur seat, because in hoth and endor, the rebellion r fighting for survival. Would it be as goodd if the rebellion could afford to lose endor, and could afford to hav nearly all there forces on hoh wiped out. I think not. This is the basis of KOTOR, the Republics desperate fight for survival against the sith empire. If Bastila was to suddenly shoot off to find the starmaps without help, the Republic would lose even more battles that they couldnt afford to lose, Bastila would most likely be killed, or captured and turned by Malak. (she was both in some ppls stories i know). If the fight was the Republic, equal in resources to the Sith Empire, they would not have as much need of Bastila. Only to find the starmaps, and even then, she would most likely be killed/captured and turned bu Malak.
  10. Has to be the single saber. It is the style i first saw, and the style i hav grown up with. Single saber all da way.
  11. In my opinion, both Revan and Bastila are very important. Without Bastila's Battle Meditation, the Republic would not hav been able to survive as long as it did. Bastila helped the Republic win key victories, which helped the Republic to hold on to the core worlds for as long as they did. Revan's hidden knowledge about the starmaps made him indispensible. Without that knowledge, the search for the starforge might hav taken a lot longer, longer than the Republic could survive, even with Bastila and her Battle Meditation. I am speaking out of lightside terms.
  12. It is a constant battle for the jedi to control there passions, it seems. Without passion, they become emotionless and do not feel sympathy. Too much passion, and you go to the darkside. I doubt that even the jedi would a passionless love life, again, they would need to control there passion.
  13. I've played both games, and the similarities are there. The bald head on Malak and Maugrim for example. Still, with both games so damn good, i aint got any complaints about the similarities between the 2.
  14. Heh we r having a good discussion, dont ruin it. I know it aint real, but i illusinate, and i think walls talk to me. What?. Theres a boy trapped in well. I WILL SAVE HIM
  15. It is actually important (Revan and Bastila), since it shows how vunerable that padawans are to emotions such as love. I mean these midicolorians (sorry if spelt wrong) most likely do pick people at random, but a family line can also hav an affect. This is seen with the Skywalker family. If Revan and Bastila were to start a family, there children would be very powerful jedi aswell. I am guessing that the coucil in the KOTOR era were perhaps a lot more flexible than in the movie era, and would allow jedi to start families on occasion if they were either mature enough, or already way to far down love road to turn back (ala male Revan and Bastila). Just my idea.
  16. I am guessing it is simply a new character. I hav another theory, it is a charcter u met in KOTOR met, but i hav no idea who.
  17. Well from someone who has only evr done ds once and ls 99.9% of the time. I do not tink that the jedi r 'faires' as Darth Sirius put it. I may just be a big softy/all round good guy but i hated the ds. I do not think that this idea of bullying cash out of somone is cool or fun. Even if they r just compuetr game characters. (I did reach ls master, so i must be a real good guy B) ) I know it is just a game, but for such a great game (KOTOR) i take things a little more serioulsly as many decisions u make affect ur alingment. I just like being a good guy in games.
  18. True, but in that, if u only hav one save that is only either ls or ds, u would hav to play through KOTOR again; (not that i is complaining) some wouldnt want 2. With the question system, u can get both ls and ds endongs from the original a lot quicker.
  19. I aint gonna qoute it either, but a very good post indeed azure. It would make more sense than running out and slashing one droid individually. Unfortunately, none of us is George Lucas, George Lucas is George Lucas, and he decides the script.
  20. I think u missed the point. Jedi masters hav feelings, despite keeping them in check extremly well. I didnt say nowt bout sabers being banned. The point is that Luke had to learn himself to control his emotions, based on the newer jedi teachings of love being banned. He still fell in love with Mara Jade. So perhaps the jedi council from episode1 onwards were perhaps a little short sited about love, only seeing its path to the darkside, and not how it can be lightside aswell. Plus u dont seemed to hav mentioned anything on the Revan and Bastila bit i put in my last post. I think i got u there eh.
  21. Lets not forget it Revan was captured because Malak fired on his masters ship and Revan was badly injured. The jedi would only hav been able to alter Revans mind if his previous one almost wiped out, which it was.
  22. True, true, but even jedi masters could hav trouble controlling emotions that strong. Anakin got training, and never controled his emotions to well, yet he still brought the force back into balance. Luke was never taught to control his emotion by ObiWan, he had to learn himself, and he still became a jedi master. Revan and Bastila were sent on the quest for the starforge both as padawans. Bastila with less training than most would hav for a mission of this importance, and Revan will little at all, and certainly no training to control his emotions. If the romance angle between these 2 is in KOTOR2, would the jedi coucil hav forced them to be taught to press there emotions deep down, or since it was so far along, would they hav left them to there own devices. (Of course the romance is only for male Revan and Bastila)
  23. Lets not forget jedi hav feelings to and they aint just spirtualist monks. They r also diplomats and warriors (peacekeepers for the most part). I mean Bastila showed that jedi hav real feelings with her mother issues (and if u do the romance angle with her as Revan male), and what about Jhuhani and Jolee (i know he is a neutral jedi). Then there is Anakin Skywalker, and Luke Skywalker aswell (Anakin marrying Padme, Luke marrying Mara Jade) My point is if family members if murdered will always cause people to be angry, even jedi.
  24. Would u not want to take revnge on the guy who killed a family member of urs, especially if it is ur son/daughter/wife/husband/father/mother. I problably would. I aint sure u read my earlier post properly but ifu did, u may hav misuderstood.
  25. I assume this snotty girl u is talking bout is Bastila. Dont forget that Battle Meditation is a rare and powerful force power. It also requires great concentration. By the time of the first movie (Episode 1) the knowledge for Battle Meditation appears to hav been lost. Besides, it is a computer game, it doesnt hav to make total sense, does it? Not everything in the starwars universe needs to make sense, just enjoy the ride i say
