  1. Gabs, I keep trying to enter you tag, but it isn't working
  2. dear lord, you're right. hahahahahahsdlkahdklshdalda
  3. Which suggests that the 'yanks' were also fighting for themselves. Though given that their main objective was really to stop Japanese expansion in the pacific, this is sort of a given.
  4. haha, comp stomp, nice expression. But yeah, i'll tend to do that when playing with friends too (well, friend). The 'Harder' difficulty level was still enough of a challange to be interesting.
  5. Yeah, the one attraction Soulstorm has would be knowing other people who own it and want to play, since the Sisters of Battle seem interesting.
  6. http://www.techspot.com/news/29022-new-sha...-recording.html haha, yeah, that would take your eye out pretty quick. Isn't wavelengh tied pretty closely to 'power' when it comes to the lasers ability to damage eyes though?
  7. Pre Dark Crusade the general DoW online community was flaming retarded anyway. 'LOL, CAMP IN BASE TILL I HAVE 10 PREDITORS!' 'wtf y i lose' Proof of this was a game I played to test the waters where I basically held off 2 1/2 hostile players until my two team-mates stoped being Hades. I, personally, owned 3/5s of the map.
  8. 5 minutes for a battle? I like that pace. It's only willpower in the face of work that I havn't bought it already. I'm 'waiting for the demo'.
  9. Bless you FOR THE IMPERIUM. Wait, wait, are we going to get all geeky again?
  10. iirc there are two 'grades' of class 3 lasers, those which are too strong to be class 2, but still under 500nw (which is 'safe' as long as you don't stare into it for more than a few seconds), and those which are above 500nw (which is unsafe but won't set things on fire) but not strong enough to be class 4 (the nasty shizzle). DVD players fall into the very bottom of the second third class, generally being between 500 and 1000nw in power, but it's a pretty big class for memory. Blu-ray players seem to be about 400nm, according to wiki.
  11. haha, my money is going into Sins too, don't look at me.
  12. Actually, as far as I can tell the laser on blu-ray readers are less powerful than traditional DVD drives, enough so to place them in a lower laser class. The 'blu' comes from the fact that it uses a violet laser rather than a traditional infa-red laser, which is part of what makes the technology work. This laser is more focused though, so it could well be more damaging. Experimentation time!
  13. This reminds me of the time I accidently shone a class 3 laser in my eye. Freaking DVD drive.
  14. Esemble is currently working on Halo Wars for the 360. Console RTS is haha as a concept, but between this and End War we could see somthing that works. Still, haha. As far as a Star Wars RTS goes the universe has never really lent itself to the genre in a way that would inspire me to care about it more than Dawn of War 2 or Sins of a Solar Empire. Past offerings are a testiment to this.
  15. haha, I remember that game, quite amusing. Actually had good pre-NWN multiplayer.
  16. An interesting 'what if' scenario comes forth if the British had been clear victors at the battle of Jutland, since it would have left Berlin wide open. As with all things in WW1 though, the biggest enemy the british armed forces faced was their own officers.
  17. Yeah, it's funny how you've won all your wars since then too. Wait, wait, nevermind. Look ma, I can troll too!
  18. Nonsense, now pass the breastmilk yogart.
  19. 'Oh hey, a mas....MY GOD WHAT'S IT DOING T*gub*'
  20. So if the many say they want to burn your avatar you'll do that? Please?
  21. Start your own thread then, this one is obviously exclusive to consoles as indicated by the 'the best system' subtitle.
  22. People not liking the majority of nintendo games is fine, people not liking the wiimote is fine, but people writing off as 'kiddy crap' the spawn of a company to which the whole of the gaming industry owes a debt is somewhat annoying when they have, one way or another, been consistantly trying to move the medium forward. Take note that I havn't bought a nintendo console since the N-64, so this isn't rabid fanboyism but simply respect. I wouldn't have naturally chosen Halo3 as a party game, but I guess it would make sense at a sausage-fest.
  23. Are they his best cookies?
  24. I've never been a coat before.
