  1. Dont expect them to admit it.
  2. Play.com is love. <3<3 Channel island tax breaks.
  3. The series didn't go wrong with consoles!
  4. Llyranor is obviously the only person with any intelligence in this thread. Burn, BURN, HAHAHAHAH, BURN IT ALL, HAHAHAHA. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  5. Too late, bathroom time
  6. From an 'introduction to Aikido'. 'Aikido focuses not on punching or kicking opponents, but rather on using their own energy to gain control of them or to throw them away from you. It is not a static art, but places great emphasis on motion and the dynamics of movement.' Yeah, this principle is very similar to that used in Taichi.
  7. Well, people have to be actually stupid enough to invest in the first place. 'A film based on Postal you say?! where do I sign?!'
  8. There is only one colour for the rocket. Pink. MANLY pink.
  9. So basically, same controls as before, but you can actually see what you're doing now.
  10. The real test of someone's taichi is to try and push them over. A fake will go down like a brick, a master will make you push yourself over.
  11. A mix, as 'true' taichi probably should be, the basic philosophy being (for those of you happen not to know) that it's a spin-off from kung-fu (so a fighting style) but one focused more on concentration and sensetivity to the enviroment and opponent than strength and dexterity ('inner voise'). But in terms of what i'm being taught at this particular class it's more focused towards 'inner voise'. In that sense it's not nearly as good of a work out as somthing like Karate or Kung-fu, it's easy to go through a two hour session without even breaking a sweat because everything is done so slowly. However, it has been great for my energy, coordination, and, most importantly in the context of this thread, my flexability (in terms of my muscles not all being stiff from too much working at a computer). To supliment the lack of 'real' workout from this, I just run up and down the hill to campus. So to answer your question,
  12. I'm no expert, but it sounds like it could be that this is more of a problem with your hardware than software, one thing might be to give the inside of the computer (esspesally the sound card) a good dedusting with a can of compressed air. If you havn't done this for a while it's a good idea anyway, helping to keep your computers temp down, which can improve its lifespan.
  13. How dreadful. But there are other things to occupy my time with. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To be fair, it can be seen as narrowminded, but I can kind of understand your stance (at least, as far as I have understood) that console only = very bad. Without getting too far off topic or starting some kind of flame war, what are your personal reasons for this (just random curiosity here). As far as RE goes, how are the controls and camera in this ittiration of the game? I 'enjoyed' the other ones, but those were the two things that would stop me actually enjoying them.
  14. Screw sympathy for my fellow man, I want those frags.
  15. NO SEWERS?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  16. As Llyranor pointed out elsewhere, devs taking over another game IP usally ends in disapointment, and KotoR2 is one of the few examples (in my own opinion) where it actually went well. NWN2 is looking like it will almost cirtainly be another. All this means is that Obs kicks butt. For a further example, I am a huge fan of both Total Annihilation and Operation Flashpoint, but does that mean I should be exited by Total Annihilation 2 and Operation Flashpoint 2 (both made by different devs than the originals) or Supreme Commander and Armed Assult (spiritual sequals to the above games made by the same devs with a new name). The answer is pretty obvious. There are lots of people who appeasiate the work of Bethesa, but their games are VERY different from the fallout games.
  17. Oh yeah, I forgot about that feature of Trespasser, it could have been a very nice game if it didn't, you know, suck. Though the game was worth it just for DEPLOY THE HAND! Though come to think of it, I remember now the novelty of playing an FPS where I could look down at my own boobs. ...to check my health...yes... " ...shut up, I was 14.
  18. Haha, actually, the issue at the moment is purely one of time, as the only games I have time to play at the moment are online. Go go Maya coursework mode! Having said that, I wonder if there are many 3D modelers in this community.
  19. Watch out for Uwes next film, Dungeon Seige! And if you think i'm joking then you're wrong!
  20. For the right kind of game, Role-Player's idea is a very good one. Too bad all the games that were quoted with screenshots are pretty much the wrong kind of game. Another simple example of this kind of thing was the Golden Eye game for the Nintendo 64, your health would only flash up when you were hit and to pause James Bond would look down at his watch. Intigration of HuD elements with the actual gameworld is a very nice idea. Another example of this is the HuD and other functions being provided by the HEV suit in Half-Life. No HEV? no health, no armour, and no voise saying 'major fracture detected' when you throw yourself off a cliff. The suit itself became as much a character and part of the gameworld as the person wearing it, if not more so.
  21. It rocks, and on TI servers it would only add to the overall experiance.
