  1. The sheer amount of cope from these people is the funniest **** I've seen in years.
  2. I can do without turkey and mashed potatoes, but mac and cheese is really good and I'll always eat it.
  3. It sounds to me like they need to offer better incentives to come to work then tbh. Why the hell should someone risk getting the rona and work 40 hours to take home a paycheck that doesn't even cover rent?
  4. I finished up Aunty Donna's Big Ol' House of Fun and I think I like it. It's not something I'd recommend if you don't like sketch comedy or have a strong affinity towards silliness though.
  5. They opened up an in-n-out close to me and it's ok, but not worth hour long lines or going out of my way. Bernies Burger Bus was probably the best burger joint around my area, but unfortunately they've gone out of business and the best now is Grub or Hubcap grill.
  6. My fiance prefers mixed drinks, so I've gotten used to making them on the weekend. Apple is pretty versatile and I think it goes well enough with whiskeys and rums to be at least a decent drink if you don't want a straight hit. For cider and bourbon I like to add a bit of honey or agave, but I don't use spiced cider so that might go terribly wrong. I picked up a bottle of Whistle Pig rye whiskey that's pretty good for what it is. I drank it straight today, tomorrow I'm going to probably try something with orange.
  7. When you say Epsteined, do you mean being outed as a pedophile or dying under circumstances that look like a hit? Because honestly I think the former is pretty likely while the later isn't. Most likely Trump goes back to slumlording and tries various enterprises that float solely due to the true believers he cultivated over the last few years. Some Republicans will turn on him, but it will probably backfire and we'll see several crops of them trying to ape his obnoxious style because that's what wins with their base. Maybe someone in his circle turns on him, but it will probably be over a personal feud and not land him in jail. 20 or so years from now Trump will be throughly whitewashed and used as an example of an "honorable Republican" against the neo-confederate conspiracy theorists who will dominate the party by that point. After the last 4 years seeing a fictional association that isn't Harry Potter or GoT is refreshing.
  8. I watched 3 episodes of Aunty Donna's Big Ol' House of Fun and it's definitely something, but I have no idea what it is or if I like it or just can't look away.
  9. And they'll end up bombing Iran to stop it.
  10. With the coup failing on the legal battlefield and electoral college shenanigans looking unlikely, who else thinks Trump will end this clustercuss of a year with something terrible that will muck things up for years?
  11. International fanny pack day? That's worse than mustaches, abstaining from nuts, or Germans singing about sweaty dudes.
  12. It's probably not all 72 million, but it's still a significant portion of that number. Furthermore a significant portion of the remainder don't believe it but would go along with it because they want Trump in office.
  13. It's Twitter showing how much of their current policy is bending over backwards to avoid banning one account.
  14. Explicitly it's meta knowledge, but it's heavily implied by the series. It stuck out too much to not quote it somehow.
  15. I smoked a brisket and it turned out good. Too good because some people including myself ate too much and will probably pass out.
  16. As concerning is Trump's suggestions of a coup are, the almost certainty of many people supporting it on facing no real consequences is probably more cause for worry.
  17. Yeah I don't make the comparison of Cowboy Bebop to Firefly because I generally dislike things Whedon touches. It honestly holds up better than it did when I first watched it because it's basically about poor people trying to navigate the gig economy which happens to be relevant to these times. I don't think JoJo has an artstyle, so much as every season does because each arc until Vento Aureo or Stone Ocean saw some tweaks in the manga until Araki hit what he wanted. I think all seasons look pretty good, but it is really boosted by a vibrant and dynamic color palate in a way that a lot of other anime (or triple A games) isn't. You can view each season separately because they're connected but not essential, so if you really don't like Phantom Blood/Battle Tendency or Stardust Crusaders you can jump ahead to Diamond is Unbreakable or Golden Wind. Crybaby is freaking weird my dude. And Asuka should have strangled Shinji long before the end of the series. All of those fit with realizing Shinji is the only other person alive. And the Star Wars Christmas Special will be getting a Lego sequel, which is horrifying.
  18. If you're familiar with some aspects of Jewish mysticism some things make more sense, but in general it's a show that's good to come back to because you pick up more stuff you would have normally skipped. I'm pretty sure Asuka was aware of what Shinji did, but on the other hand waking up to find the only person alive is Shinji is probably a big downer. Of course the biggest mind**** is the Shave Impact, which is definitely canon. Cowboy Bebop is similar to Firefly in that it's got a similar setting, but it's lacking the Whedon stuff of Firefly which is a good thing. Paranoia Agent is really good and should be given a go. One Punch Man is different from most superhero stuff because there's no real sense of danger, it's almost slice of life territory but the life is a depressed guy who isn't satisfied because everything is too easy. Personally I'd recommend Devilman Crybaby as it's short and avoids some of the more silly stuff you find in anime while still being bat**** crazy. If you liked Sailor Moon's ludicrous nonsense, you may like JoJo as well but it's umm....very flamboyant and really likes killing animals. There's also the 90's Berserk but it ends abruptly in one hell of a downer and the manga will never be finished so you won't get a conclusion.
  19. I recently rewatched Yu Yu Hakusho (coincidentally, the creator is married to the creator of Sailor Moon) after over a decade, as I remember watching it as a kid when Adult Swim first came around. The first arc holds up but after that it kinda collapses into a tournament show (which I believe is the anime equivalent of US TV turning everything into a cop show) with a brief break to deal with apocalyptic psychics before doing another tournament. Just goes to show some things don't hold up to memory I guess. That's true of most series in general.
  20. That's something about the game that really gets me, the NCR is pretty bad in a lot of respects but everything the Legion does is unforgiveable unless you're an edgelord dipstick. When your first encounter with them is the aftermath of having slaughtered a town it's hard to find a way to support them, safe caravans be damned. Wild Card makes sense, NCR makes sense, even House makes sense, but Legion is mustache twirling territory.
  21. I believe "I didn't vote" won the popular vote last time. Too bad the interstate electoral compact wasn't dominant then, "I didn't vote" would have made a much better occupant of the WH than Trump or Clinton.
  22. Mass Effect 3 - Along with the color coded ending, anything with the space ninja was awful. You could beat his ass but there would still be a cutscene showing him dominate you.
