  1. I have, and some SMS recs on YouTube, which between Film Riot stuff has been hilarious. It's more of a general question, like what the **** were they thinking?
  2. I love how Diana sits on Chibi-Usa's head. Why do Usagi and Luna sound like they're grannies tho?
  3. But those pesky feminists are easier to blame, especially if you ideologically support such things that lead to the lack of kiddos. The cheapest rent around me is about $800, most "good" entry level jobs (which aren't guaranteed) pay somewhere around $20/hr to start with a degree required, student debt is out of control for most people around my age, and just having a kid (not actually raising one, which is even more time and effort) could cost in 10s of thousands. Just weighing things, people in thsee circumstances not having kids is a completely logical decision based on their actual circumstances, and hook-up culture doesn't really factor in.
  4. I watched the pilot for $5.15/hr. Not picking this up is probably the biggest ****up HBO has ever done.
  5. I think these debunks are missing the point of these posts. They're not made to inspire someone to start a business instead of buying an iPhone or learn a skill instead of watch TV, they're for people who aren't working class or poor to tut-tut at the lazy proles for daring to have a semblance of a life beyond toil. The same people who make these posts could not handle the average fast food worker's job.
  6. I think Diamond is Unbreakable and Golden Wind are significantly better than previous seasons in almost all respects.
  7. Me too. At least I've been able to get back to writing a bit, maybe when the rona isn't so crazy I can finally shoot this short I've had ready for a long time.
  8. I did, if you can take some of the more silly aspects of it then it's pretty good. I've been pretty sick the last week and haven't really watched anime lately. I think I'll check out Attack on Titan soon though.
  9. That's the most likely scenario. I think the most realistic thing to hope for would some partial chapters and his assistants dropping the outline of the rest so we can get some kind of closure.
  10. I was holding out that the conclusion was close and he'd end up pulling it out, but I guess now we'll never know or see it get taken up by his apprentices. A real damn shame.
  11. Berserk is older than me and there are a lot of chapters, but yeah we're lucky to see three chapters a year these days. Apparently it's closer to finished than not, but unless Miura breaks the slow pace that has been going on for 15 years now we're probably going to be waiting a very long time if it gets finished at all. In some ways it's tamer than later manga iterations, but it is graphic to go into blind. It really does work though.
  12. I guess it wasn't a remASSter after all.
  13. After seeing the Overfiend, I wouldn't go that far. But it does fit what the show is and works well with that imo.
  14. So first of all, this forum software is atrocious on mobile when using spoilers. Secondly good luck. Thirdly, you may want to check out Devilman Crybaby. It's very different than Madoka stylistically and it's only 10 episodes so if you hate it then it will go by quick. It has a lot of sex in it though, especially the first episode.
  15. Bartimaeus is a big fat meanie. A big fat meanie zucchini. Let's chop it up, chop-chop it up. And serve it with linguine. AL DENTE. AL DENTE. AL DENTE. AL DENTE. @majestic I guess you've gotten out of the contract market. Really though Madoka is very good as a subversion of magical girl anime, of which Sailor Moon is the best example of. Which makes it a nice refresh to have after 200 episodes of SM. The way the faces are animated is a little weird to me, so was Sailor Moon tbh, but I think it works as a contrast between the general cute portrayl of magical girls and the brutal reality of having to fight monsters all the time.
  16. I was honestly thinking of adding something to that effect in lmao.
  17. Really? One thing I liked about s1 was the equal opportunity nudity instead of having all the fellas be eunuchs. I guess shooting kids is cool but b00bs is too much for Netflix.
  18. Two episodes in and so far one hit and one miss. The hit was Ice. It may not be original (almost nothing is tbh) but it felt authentic, if that makes sense. The animation was ****ing stellar, it reminded me of the Zima Blue episode from s1 which was one of my favorites. Very impressive use of shading and the contrast between most of the animation and the whales was really cool to see. The miss was the customer service one with the old folks. It really felt like padding and the animation was atrocious to boot, especially the tiny hands. Not sure why you would see s1 and think "this needs to be toned down", it mostly worked because it could be very weird. Netflix strikes again.
  19. The way some people get so worked up over having to wear a mask indoors is the dumbest thing I have seen. It's like simple courtesy is impossible for these dip****s.
  20. There's some really great direction in Madoka that just sticks with you, especially with Kyubey. I find that with most things (that are good) I watch it first and just get lost in it* and on subsequent watches take a more analytical eye toward scenes. *It's hard to describe this, like I get enthralled with the story that I just find myself focusing on the whole thing and struggle to separate it into components to analyze. So my reviews tend to focus on a finished product that can't really be broken down. Anyways you're forgetting one major thing.
  21. Maybe you should do something less creepy then. Like Kars laughing. Now that's a face you can trust.
  22. Well I'm not trusting anything that avatar says.
  23. Oh man, **** gets good yall. I can't say too much without spoiling it though.
