When I tested it with Toybox, Lich got 10th spells at MT 10. So both could be true, in which case merged spellbook is even more powerful.

I appreciate that somewhat actually. It makes some quests less essential to deal with especially if you're trying a rp run and don't want to be too evil or something. PoE did definitely over do it though. I didn't know that. Regardless, I'd apply that statement to mythic tiers or any other power source that isn't directly tied to level. Getting the cool stuff right before the final battle seems like a huge waste. Like the 10th level spells in WotR which will get used once or twice in the whole game.

Yeah, more and more I appreciate games with enough xp that you can actually play your max level for longer than an hour at the end.

But it does have moments that are absolutely hilarious.

If you double XP gain in Kingmaker you'll hit the last level right around the house at the edge of time.

Honestly, I'd peg Bruno more as a Naruto fanboy or tentacle aficionado but ecchi makes sense too. One of the hilarious things about WotR is that seems to have both given the edgelords some of the most evil options they want in a game while simultaneously having some of the dumbest evil lines of all time. That's true, I've heard it compared to textures that end up enhancing the main thing they're trying to emphasize. The problem is, and I say this as someone beat Kingmaker but haven't gotten past the water elemental in WotR, that the timing is just incredibly wacky. Maybe Owlcat has improved, but seeing "I don't like you, die!" makes me doubt that.

I completely forgot about The Northman. Looks like less than a year away. Lost Highway and Brazil almost took out Thunder Road, but there's a charm that movie has that I really like.
