  1. In this world, is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law? Is it like the hand of God hovering above? At least, it is true that man has no control, even over his own will.
  2. It could be, it could also be that at that point when WotR was announced there was not too much content out for 2e (I think one adventure path and the player's handbook), so they just went with the system that had a decade of published content. Either is plausible and makes sense. With 2e releasing more content I think a 2e game isn't far off. But I don't think it's next for Owlcat. 2e differs significantly from 1e that they'd need to scrap a ton of stuff, while comparatively Starfinder is more similar to 1e, is currently being published by Paizo, and does fit with that hiring notice for a people with experience in scifi games. Right now I'd bet on that the next Owlcat game will be Starfinder and a 2e game follows that. If they keep the same pace that they did with KM and WotR, then I guess we'll probably see a kickstarter in mid to late 2022.
  3. Well Pazio did license WotR after 2e was published so I think they're at least willing to license their 1e adventure paths. While I agree that they'd prefer some advertisement for their current product line, any attention probably helps when you're a distant second to DnD. Personally I'd prefer the dark horse wins. But my money is on that they'll give Starfinder a shot next. It's a step up from pf 1e if only because mythic shenanigans can't compete shooting a techno-lich with a plasma rifle. I guess we'll just see what happens. The forum software must be hungry today.
  4. Yeah, I think it could very well make Deadfire's ship combat look good. And given Kingmaker and WotR, it will be mandatory. I think Abomination Vaults and Fists of the Ruby Phoenix are both half the length of the usual adventure paths, so I could see either being an expansion length dlc added to an adaptation. Maybe even both, who knows?
  5. I think Starfinder is most likely, followed by another PF1e game, and then a PF2e game being a dark horse. If it's Starfinder I'm worried about starship combat, if it's 1e again I hope they get all the classes in WotR sorted out first and maybe not do mythic stuff again, if it's 2e I hope it's Strength of Thousands or Agents of Edgewatch. In all cases I want guns.
  6. Steins;Gate 0 13 and 14. Brainwashing and stuff lmao. Mayushii also tuturus via text. I think globally, the mask coming off so to speak is increasingly a component of right-wing politics. In actual policy I don't think it's going to immediately get too much different (for example Trump was really just a more vulgar edition of Bush Era ghouls, so much that the guy who stole the 2000 election also tried to steal 2020) but it's going to gear up for some not so creeping authoritarianism being normalized and pushed through. Basically the dream of rich guys who think killing kiddos is a-ok and can't use question marks.
  7. I think Steins;Gate is internally consistent but......I can't really explain without heavy spoilers.
  8. Oh just you wait. Things get a lot stranger and more techno-babbly. On the bright side, no more Hounin Kyouma laughs.
  9. Well...real spoilers ahoy
  10. I take it the Skald is still broken?
  11. Daru confirmed as the self-insert.
  12. Maybe, but I think it's more likely Trump gets taken out of the race by a heart attack (after all this is a guy who chows down on fast food and thinks exercise is bad for you) than by losing the primary. Given the level of hero worship he has in the GOP, any rivals would immediately alienate the base they need to win the primary. Though it would be funny to see a bunch of guys aping Trump accuse each other and Daddy Don of fraud and corruption on stage. And then it ends with a ton of lawsuits.
  13. I watched up to episode 12 on Steins;Gate 0 over the last few days and it's weird. Anyways, I guess @majestic is going to see the shift from Mad Scientist Kyouma to PTSD Okabe. Tu...tu...ru
  14. Oh Mayushii's watch has stopped.....
  15. That was episode 12 and no they aren't but that's because something spoiler heavy. I won't spoil you on your predictions, but the twist isn't any of them.
  16. Making some beef fajitas with some guacamole and roasted vegetables. I hope it turns out good. I don't blame him tbh.
  17. I guess I won't have to report you for bad taste after all.
  18. She isn't. Do spoiler in brackets at the beginning and then /spoiler in brackets at the end. It will **** up the post if you put stuff past the spoiler, because this site sucks on mobile. I did not know that.
  19. You'll have to wait and see. Tuturu.
  20. No to both.
  21. Five months ago.
  22. I think ItMoM is the probably the only movie I can think of that does cosmic horror really well. I watched the apocalypse trilogy together a couple of years ago and while the Thing is good and Prince of Darkness was pretty good, something about In The Mouth of Madness made it feel more unique. Do you read Sutter Cane?
  23. Because that wouldn't be near as indecent for Daru. Uhhhh
  24. My dog just died. She was diagnosed with lymphoma about 3 months ago and given about 1-2 months then. She had been slowing down but was otherwise OK until last week, when she started swelling up and stopped eating very much. The vet recommended euthanasia and warned me that if she crashes it would be a nightmare. Bitty seemed to bounce back over the weekend but I knew that we were at the end. Last night she hardly slept because she's been struggling to breathe and this morning her legs had a ton of fluid in them so I called the vet and made an appointment. It's done, and I came home for the first time in over 20 years without a dog there. Half of me hates myself for doing it, and the other half hates myself for letting her suffer because I couldn't let her go. ****.
  25. You've scared the abyss. What's next, a 6 hour workday? A living wage? A transportation system that isn't falling apart? Not droning a wedding because the AI thinks 3+ brown people = bad? I think you need to reflect on why you hate freedom and bootstraps.
