Samurai Champloo 22: The Mushroom episode. Probably the 2nd weakest in the series, only the clip show ranks lower for me. I thought it was ok, but I can see how a lot of people may not like it. Right now it's an issue with pacing, other than Najimi no other character besides Komi and Tadano have been allowed to hit more than one note. And the dog girl really annoys me for some reason, more than the yandere stalker.

Reported for not including the U at the end. Oh yeah, and more Cowboy Bebop. This occupies the space as not being outright awful but not being nearly as good as the source material. A lot of the dialogue feels like they're doing a pastiche of Marvel movies and I don't like it.

Yeah, to me it seems like that outside of Tadano and Komi (and to a lesser degree Najimi) the other characters are mostly one note. Stardust Crusaders 21 and 22 Cameo's Judgement. Hail 2 U! Yes I Am! Hell 2 U! What a ride. As for the twist...

Komi can't Communicate 4 or 5 I think. Probably one of the best ones, the cat ears get deployed quite a bit. Dog girl and the stalker are more bearable. JoJo Stardust Crusaders 19 and 20 Mannish Boy's Death 13. One of the creepiest stands to date. Lali-ho!

You're forgiven. McDonald's here is ok, it's not as bad as the worst chains but it's mediocre enough that you can find better stuff without much effort. You also can't throw a rock without hitting one here. I think Ebert was right. If StrikerS is the best cheesecake shonen can be, rate it as a 10/10.

I live in the south too man, I just don't get the joke because how widespread avocados are where I live. In terms of food stuff the **** midwesterners and north eastern folks eat looks worse than west coast stuff. Like dumping chilli on pasta and then dumping cold cheese on top is a crime against humanity.

Mayonnaise has always been gross and I don't understand why anyone uses it outside of an ingredient. I dunno, I eat a lot of avocados and I have never set foot in California.

JoJo Stardust Crusaders 18: Arabia Fats' The Sun. Interesting stando, but the real standout moment was when the gang broke out in laughter. Because no one in this show laughs normally. So first thing, I would only eat McDonald's if the alternative was something vile like Burger King or Subway. If I'm going to eat a fast food burger, it's going to be Whataburger. Secondly, there's been a trend of high profile chefs starting restaurants featuring simple street food like burgers, hot dogs, tacos, etc. Now some of this is a desire to break into a more casual dining market, which can be more lucrative than haute **** only affordable by rich ****ers, and some of it is trying to bourgeois-ify casual food to provide a novelty to rich ****ers. This is relevant because sometimes the former is just pretty damn good, like I love good barbecue or hot chicken and waffles to the point that I'd prefer it over most of the haute stuff some of the wealthier forum members eat, while the latter stuff like $100 burgers can go **** themselves. Now what this has to do with anime....well I think what makes both food and media work for me is feeling. Like I enjoy a stylistic romps and heartfelt stuff like Watanabe's animes, deep and horrifying **** like Berserk (90s), silly light hearted stuff like Sailor Moon, deconstructed versions of silly light hearted stuff like Madoka, and....well whatever the **** JoJo is. Sometimes you can look at them in terms of quality, ie Watanabe animes seem to have a very solid production while Sailor Moon was a low budget cash grab that somehow worked (aside from a certain horse), but I don't put much into that. The bigger qualifier for me is how did it make me feel, because at the end of the day all the technique or production values in the world can't save something that just isn't good while something good can bring subpar or mediocre things together to create something great. I don't know if this makes any sense at all, but I'd recommend anyone check out the live action movie Thunder Road (2018) to kind of see what I mean. It was made on a shoe string budget and imo easily beats out a ton of movies whose budget was gargantuan.

That's what you get for watching from the couch. MOTOR BOAT IN A BATHTUB. I was going to compare him to Nolan, in that both make big budget blockbusters that aim for being more profound/thought provoking than your average action flick but fail (for me at least) at doing so. Maybe it's the curse of the big budget only producing kid movies and boring action stuff. Arrival and one of his early films are really good though.

I think Dennis Villeneuve's sci-fi movies just aren't that interesting and end up being boring for me. I dunno.

I think the Dune movies should end with the worm-human hybrid god emperor and no explanation at all. Anyways I'm going to read Hero of Two Worlds soon.
