The Costa Ricans need inspiration. Wilson Phillips wasn't enough, I'm going to have to break out R. Kelly I just hope this doesn't cause them to urinate on underage girls.
-
Even Wilson Phillips couldn't help Costa Rica keep the lead. How in the world are they going to get through another 30 minutes a man down?
-
Greece scores in added time
-
Come on, Costa Rica, just hold on for 15 more minutes. Hold on!
-
Ruiz! Goal Costa Rica!
-
Greece thoroughly controlled the first half with their ugly brand of football.
-
Yep.
-
Go Costa Rica go!
-
Huntelaar! 2-1 Oranje What a stomach punch for El Tri. Horrible, horrible way to go out.
-
PK! Mexico is going to need a miracle save from Ochoa to survive now.
-
SNEIJDER!!! Ochoa had no chance on that one.
-
I wonder why they didn't play this well right from the start? It might cost them the game. I'm not sure they could have kept it up for 90 minutes in these conditions.
-
What a save by Ochoa. Damn he's having one heck of a tourney.
-
That was a thoroughly boring half of football.

Grim Dawn is half off for the next couple hours.

As an aside, the most baller entrance ever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BikzaM61UeA Conan the Barbarian entrance rising up out of the stage with lamentation wenches (no offense intended) on both sides disrobing him. I'm not sure it's possible to get more badass than that. How can you possibly get more badass than that? ... ... Oh. Rising up out of the stage with a buster sword next to a freakin' raptor while money rains down on the crowd. Game over.

The best rasslin' entrance themes according to Keyrock: 1) Christian - "At Last" Opera mixed with heavy metal? Yes, please! 2) Jeff Jarrett - "My World" I'm not a fan of Jeff Jerrett, nor do I think this theme is all that special overall, but it has the most important part, the opening hook which is instantly recognizable. It cannot be overstated how important that is to a wrestling theme 3) Edge - "Metalingus" - It has the most important part, the opening "You Think You Know Me" which has been the intro to most of Edge's theme's throughout his career, plus a recognizable melody with easily dung lyrics. 4) The Brood - "Blood" - Sure, Edge and Christian were vampires, or whatever, at this point, but the theme is baller as ****, no denying that. 5) Ms Chif - "Repined Bastard Nation" - Leave it to a super badass female wrestler to come out to a theme by a Norwegian Black Metal band. 6) Harlem Heat Theme - Those who didn't watch WCW in the early 90s don't remember how amazing the Steiners/Harlem Heat feud was. Also, R.I.P. Sherri Martel, one of the most underappreciated talents. Sherri was amazing. 7) NWO First Theme - The theme before they polluted it with a bunch of samples 8] Kenta Kobashi - "Blazing Sword" - This one probably won't resonate with those that never saw the greatest wrestler that ever lived. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNjQilnp-7Q Fun fact: When I hear this theme I cry. Every time. Because it's Kenta Kobashi. 9) Alexander Rusev - "Roar of the Lion" - Rusev's current theme. This is some serious final stage boss battle type ****! 10) Bullet Club - "Last Chance Saloon" - I'm so sad they don't come out to this theme any more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2oQFPfw_nQ

People forget how awesome Michael Jackson was when he was still an attractive black young man, before he became an ugly white woman.

Predictions for tomorrow (I'm doing them day by day, because I'm special): Netherlands over Mexico Costa Rica over Greece

Colombia were clearly the better team today, granted, Uruguay was without their best player. Had Uruguay had "Mad Dog" Suarez on their side, I would have had this as 50/50, but without him Colombia was clearly the favorite, and it showed. Obviously, James Rodriguez was the star, but the whole Colombia team played well, with a special bit of props to their keeper for really solid play. It should be an entertaining quarters. Obviously, Brazil will be the favorites, but not overwhelmingly so. I think Colombia not only can beat them, I think they will.
-
James Rodriguez scores again. BEautiful unselfish team football. Absolutely lovely goal. Uruguay are in deep deep trouble now. It will take a miracle to come from 2 down against a Colombian side playing so well.
-
What a goal from James Rodriguez! Phenomenal strike from distance. Keeper had no chance whatsoever. Colombia 1 - 0 Uruguay.

I'm playing Football Manager 2014. I decided to start over and give myself an bigger challenge than managing Wisła, a perennial powerhouse in Ekstraklasa (which literally translates to "Extra Class" or "Above Division"), so I decided to manage Cracovia, a club that has bounced between 2nd division, 1st division, and Ekstraklasa recently, and is in a dogfight just to stay in Ekstraklasa and avoid relegation. In my first year, I'm keen on doing just that, avoiding relegation. I have no delusions of making a run at the title, that's not realistic, especially with the changes I'm making. Cracovia's squad, as I inherited it, is likely best suited to 4-4-2. While I am keeping that formation as a backup I can switch into, along with 3-4-3, I am keen on playing 4-1-3-2. There will be some growing pains as my club learns to play that formation and as I look to get the necessary personnel to make it work. 4-1-3-2 is an attacking formation that can take advantage of quick counters and exploit the wings, but it can leave the defensive midfield heavily exposed. It relies heavily on having very fit attacking midfielders on the wing and fullbacks to run back and forth when switching from defense to attack to fill in the gap on the wings in the defensive midfield. Obviously, you need to have a strong defensive midfielder too. I'm okay when it comes to attacking midfielders, but I started with a real need at fullback. I acquired a good youngster for the right fullback/defensive winger position who's raw but has immense talent and potential, I'm still very weak on the left. My hope is to get through the season and keep from getting relegated, ideally finishing around 11th or 12th, as my club learns the formation and I get the youngsters into shape and acquire assets. I'm not looking for guys in their mid 30s, I'm looking for young guys to grow with the club. This is a marathon, not a sprint for me. I'm also loaning out quite a bit of players to get them match experience elsewhere. It's risky because it leaves me a bit thin, but I need to take those risks if I'm going to climb up the ladder eventually and take Cracovia to the promised land.

After that match I may need to have a defibrillator on standby going forward. Holy **** that was a great match!
